Race 1: FAMAZING FASHION & BEAUTY CLASS B H’CAP – 1400M

NUROCITY – Raced ungenerously in the early stages and threw its head in air for a short distance.

WULFIES LADY – Slow to begin. Rider P. Cullen advised stewards that in his opinion the mare did handle todays prevailing track conditions.

NOVA CHINA – Rider J. Lambie became unbalanced on jumping which resulted in the gelding losing ground.

MONSOON TWISTER – Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race.

RED SHAWL – Rider F. Edwards advised stewards following the race it was his intention to lead today however after beginning very well and finding the lead travelled comfortably in that position.


Race 2: ORRCON STEEL MAIDEN PLATE – 870M

HILL DAGONDA – Prior the start was fractious in the barriers delaying the start.

SAINTLY ROYALE – Delayed the start when was unable to be loaded and was declared a late scratching at 1.43pm. On the announcement of correct weight all monies invested on the gelding were ordered to be refunded with deductions of 27 cents in the dollar value of all win bets and 19 cents in the dollar value of all place bets to be applicable. Trainer J Ryan was advised she obtain a further barrier certificate for horse prior to it being permitted to race again.

EVERY FRIDAY – Reluctant to proceed to the barriers. Began awkwardly. Trainer A. Bailey was advised a warning would be placed on the geldings parading manners.

GRANDZONE ROCKET – Dislodged rider Z. White during its preliminary before being recaptured after travelling a short distance, was examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. Ms White declared herself free of injury and fulfilled her engagement.
Trainer J. Manzelmann was advised a warning would be placed on the geldings parading manners and further that he should be mindful of possibly more senior riding engagements for the gelding in the near future.

MUSTANG JACK – Began awkwardly.

MY SPECIAL LADY – Slow to begin.

TRY BEFORE DUBAI – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.

CRAIGLEA JAZZ – Raced wide for the majority of the race.

Race 3: AON RISK SOLUTIONS BENCHMARK 50 H’CAP – 870M

KISSER – Slow to begin.

CUY ‘N’ POLISH – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground. Awkward on heels of tiring runner near 100m before being steadied and shifted wider, then finding the line strongly.

OUR RECIPE - Began awkwardly and shifted out inconveniencing another runner. Hampered near the 200m.

FORTUNE MASCOT - Began awkwardly and shifted in, inconveniencing another runner.

PRINCESS SIDEREUS – Became unbalance near the 200m and shifted out hampering another runner. Rider S. Wilson advised stewards the filly did not handle today’s prevailing track conditions.

Race 4: SAVANNAH CAMPERS CLASS 3 PLATE – 1250M

The start of this race was brought forward slightly due to prevailing weather conditions.

OUR KAPOW – Jumped in the air as the start was effected. Over-raced in the early stages of the race.

DANE SLUGGER - Difficulties obtaining clear running from the 200m until near the winning post.

MUST BE OBEYED – Slow to begin.

PHANTOM SOX – shied and dislodged rider M. Kai returning to scale. M. Kai cleared himself of any injury and the gelding was quickly recaptured, examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared of any injury.

Due to consistent rain falling the track was downgraded to a Heavy 10 retrospectively.

Race 5: TOP TAX GORDONVALE BENCHMARK 70 H’CAP – 1250M

The start of this race was brought forward due to prevailing weather conditions.

HYDRIVE – Slow to begin.

BON TEMPS – Slow to begin.
