SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS, TOWNSVILLE Saturday 28th October 2017:
Race 3: The Cathedral P & F Assoc. Pallarenda Stakes QTIS 2YO Colts & Geldings Maiden Plate - 1000m.
UPTOWN TOFF - TrainerMr T. Rowe further advised stewards that following the race the gelding had two swollen eyes and will also be spelled immediately.
Race 4, The Cathedral P & F Assoc. Pallarenda Stakes QTIS 2YO Fillies Maiden Plate, 1000m
POETIC PEARL - Trainer Mr T. Rowe advised stewards that after returning to its stable the filly underwent a further examination, which revealed general soreness and will now be spelled immediately.

RACE 1: Nuleaf QTIS 3-Y-O BenchMark 60 Handicap - 1250 metres
WICKED TURN - Slow to begin.
SIDTHEKID - Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race.
FINE 'N' DEVINE - Began awkwardly.
Following the running of this race the track rating was upgraded from GOOD 4 to GOOD 3.
RACE 2: Villa Romana Cairns Restaurant Class 6 Plate - 1250 metres
VO TREASURE - Slow to begin.
OUR RECIPE- Jumped inwards at the start and bumped another runner.
HITCH 'EM UP - Bumped by another runner at the start.
LOCEANO - Restrained when racing in restricted room near the 800m. Rider Ms S. Wiseman dropped her whip near the 250m.
LILLY KAREENA - Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Raced 3 wide with no cover for the majority of the race. Rider W. D'Avila dropped his whip near the winning post. >
RACE 3: A & S Constructions Open Handicapp - 950 metres
STRICTLY MAGIC - Slow to begin..
MAN AROUND TOWN - Slow to begin. Raced 3 wide with no cover throughout the race.
RACE 4: Coral Coast Catering Class 3 Plate - 950 metres
SECOND TIME AROUND - Shifted out shortly after the start; crowding runners to its outside.
KAHUNA - Crowded for room shortly after the start and was momentarily steadied.
CELESTIAL SON - Raced in restricted room shortly after the start and was steadied.
VINCE THE PRINCE - Momentarily steadied when crowded for room shortly after the start.
MAGNITUDE LAD - Shifted inwards when crowded for room shortly after the start and in turn crowded runners to its inside.
KAP IT OFF - Shifted in shortly after the start, crowding runners to its inside before being corrected.
SUNSHINY GIRL - Raced wide for the majority of the race.
RACE 5: Carlton & United Breweries Ratings Band 0 - 60 Handicap -- 1250 metres
PROSPERUM - Shifted out shortly after the start, tightening runners to its outside. Laid out near the 1000m, hampering another runner.
FLYING ONE MORE - Tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground.
OUR SINGLE DOUBT - Tighened for room shortly after the start and lost ground. Improved onto heels near the 900m and was steadied.
BIG TOMEE - Tightened for room at the start. Raced ungenerously for a short distance near the 1000m. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
MUST BE OBEYED - Shifted in shortly after the start, tightening runners to its inside and became unbalanced. Hampered by another runner near the 1000m, and was steadied. Laid out rounding the home turn, and was steadied from heels.
GLOBAL GURU - Slow to begin.
RYLEE'S SAGA - Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
OUR KAPOW - Made the turn at the 1000mm awkwardly and had to be steadied.
Stewards inquired into an incident that occurred near the 150m. After hearinig evidence from the riders involved and viewing the available footage, it was established that when attempting a narrow run OUR KAPOW (J. Stanley) shifted in, crowding the running of THE BEE'S KNEES (W. D'Avila), and then commenced to lay in despite the efforts of its rider, having to be severely checked when simultaneously OUR SINGLE DOUBT (N. Yadi) which was racing to the inside of THE BEEES KNEES shifted out slightly. Soon after COMPULSIVE ROCKET (S. Kaya), which was racing forward and to the outside of OUR KAPOW shifted in slightly, before being corrected, further crowding the runners to its inside. THE BEEES KNEES was also checked in this incident. Subsequentley J. Stanley (OUR KAPOW) was severely reprimanded in that he shifted in to a marginal run near the 150m and rider S. Kaya, the rider of COMPULSIVE ROCKET was advised to make a greater effort to keep his mounts straight in similar circumstances.
RACE 6: Famazing Fashion & Beauty Boutique BenchMark 65 Handicap - 1500 metres
PURRFECT TYCOON - Slow to begin.
CORONATION JOURNEY - Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
LADIES WHO LUNCH - Slow into stride.
GUNGA GALUNGA - Shifted in on jumping and tightened another runner.
GREAT PRETENDEER - Tightened for room at the start and lost ground.
MUKADDAMAH SON - Raced wide for the majority of the event.
