Race 1: DES BURNS MEMORIAL MAIDEN H'CAP – 1200M

LORD WIVENHOE – Began awkwardly and bumped with DOVANA. Apprentice H. Phillips pleaded guilty to a charge under AR137A(5)(a)(ii) in that she used the whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m. Apprentice Phillips' licence to ride was suspended for a period covering 7 days, to commence at midnight on Saturday 13 February and expire at midnight on Saturday 20 February 2016. In determining penalty, stewards took into account apprentice Phillips' poor record in relation to this rule.

DRAGON FIRE – Laid in under pressure in the home straight and bumped another runner at the 50m.

INNOCENT FLAG – Raced keenly in the early stages and raced wide throughout.

DOVANA – Began awkwardly and was bumped by another runner. Forced wider at the 500m.

MISS OLIMAC – Slow to begin.

SEQUOIA MISS – Trainer M. Nolan was fined $100 for failing to produce the horse's Thoroughbred Identification Card.

SHIBA SAKURA – Began awkwardly and lost ground.

AT THE ROUGE – Laid out under pressure in the home straight and bumped another runner at the 50m.

DARE TO DAZZLE – Late scratching at 8.57 am.

KEEP THE RHYTHM – Raced wide throughout. Forced wider at the 500m.

Race 2: XXXX PALE ALE MAIDEN H'CAP – 1200M

MISTER BURGESS – Raced wide from the 700m.

STAR OF PIAF – When questioned regarding the horse's performance, J. Hoopert indicated that the gelding travelled well, however did not respond to his riding from the 400m and commenced to hang out rounding the home turn and in his opinion the gelding, which was having its first start following a spell, will derive a fitness benefit from the event.

ROCK SPARK – Slow to begin.

THE EQUINE BOLT – R. Goltz reported at scale that his mount hung out throughout the event and raced greenly.

ROSE MINMIN – Raced wide throughout. A. Taylor reported at scale that her mount laid in in the home straight.

JAMAICA BLU – Tightened for room at the start.

SAGACIOUS ROSE – Began awkwardly, tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground. Raced wide from the 700m.

Race 3: DALBY ENGINE REBUILDERS CANNONBALL FLYING OPEN H'CAP – 1000M

THINKHESAURUS – Bumped by another runner at the start.

WRITTENINTHERAIN – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

BRADY 'N' ME – Bumped by another runner at the start.

CHARGE MISSILE - Jockey M. O'Brien was fined $100 for using her whip six times prior to the 100m.

Race 4: SOUTHERN STAR ACADEMY OF DANCE QTIS 3YO MAIDEN PLATE – 1400M

BULLRIDER – Raced in restricted room and brushed the running rail near the 300m.

CAPTAIN OF THE SEA – Trainer J. Anderson was fined $100 for the late declaration of jockey L. Appo as rider.

HAMMERACK – Bumped with another runner at the start. Raced wide throughout.

HIGHTOWER – Bumped with another runner at the start.

LAYLA'S LAD – Had to be steadied from the heels of AMBER LIGHTS at the 400m when that runner shifted out. A. Taylor, the rider of AMBER LIGHTS, was reminded of her obligations when shifting ground.

LETTER BOX – Began awkwardly and shifted out.

SIENNA SON – Slow to begin.

CAVIAR GIRL – Raced keenly in the early stages. When questioned regarding the horse's improved performance, trainer J. Wallace indicated that the filly had run well at her first start at Warwick on 26 December, however had not been able to obtain clear running at its most recent starts and was disappointing. He added that he was anticipating a forward showing today.

SPANISH EYES – Bumped with another runner at the start.

SWEET MARCIA – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have sustained an injury to the near fore tendon. Trainer J. Pointon was advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance before it races again.

GYPSY AMIE – Bumped with another runner at the start.

Race 5: CYNERGI HAIR/GETATISSIMO BM 70 H'CAP – 1400M

BILLY GOAT – Jumped in the air at the start and lost ground. Had to be steadied from heels at the 900m when the pace slackened.

CHAMPAGNE TALES – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground. Raced wide from the 700m.

GET THAT INDYA – Began awkwardly and shifted out. Raced wide throughout.

I DO CARE – Raced wide throughout.

LAURINOOR – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

SKATING AWAY – Raced wide throughout.

Following this event B. Appo was stood down by the on-course ambulance officers due to illness. B. Appo was advised that he will be required to produce a medical clearance before he rides again. Riding replacements in Races 6 and 7 were made as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.

Race 6: MELMARK TRADING RATINGS BAND 0-60 H'CAP – 1300M

HAMILTON – Hung out rounding the home turn and laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.

LE MAX – Raced wide throughout.

HIDDEN ROAD – J. Hoopert reported at scale that his mount laid out in the home straight and he was unable to ride it out with his usual vigour.

CHATEAUROUX – When questioned regarding the horse's improved performance, trainer P. Evans indicated that at its previous start at Kilcoy the gelding was having its first run following a spell and carried 60kg and in his opinion the reduction in weight in today's event was to the horse's advantage.

Race 7: DALBY PRICE RITE CARS CLASS 1 H'CAP – 1100M

REAL EGO – Apprentice H. Phillips reported at scale that her mount did not handle today's soft track.

BIZARRE ROCK – Raced in restricted room for a short distance near the 200m.

PENHALE PRIDE – When questioned regarding the horse's performance, K. Yoshida indicated that his mount travelled well throughout, however in his opinion was not entirely suited by today's soft track.

YANCHA BOY – J. King was fined $100 for using the whip in 4 consecutive strides prior to the 100m.

ROMP IT IN – Began awkwardly and lost ground.

STEWBALL – Raced wide throughout.

TIN'S POCKET – Had to be steadied from heels shortly after the start. Trainer B. Hudson reported following the event that the gelding was galloped on on the near hind leg.

LEILA'S CALL – Raced wide throughout. Apprentice T. Williams reported at scale that her mount hung out rounding the home turn.

RHODRY – Raced wide throughout.

Race 8: MURRAYS TYRES & MORE RATINGS BAND 0-60 H'CAP – 2000M

COOL DAYS – Bumped with another runner at the 700m.

SIR ALBERT – Forced wider and had to be checked when bumped by SCARLET POET at the 1700m. Apprentice T. Brooker, the rider of SCARLET POET, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding and her licence to ride was suspended for a period of 12 days, to commence at midnight on Saturday 13 February and expire at midnight on Thursday 25 February 2016. When assessing penalty, stewards were mindful of apprentice T. Brooker's guilty plea and prior good record, however in their opinion the carelessness and the interference sustained by SIR ALBERT were at the higher end.

DINA'S DRAGON – Began awkwardly and lost ground.

SUITS US – Bumped with another runner at the start. Bumped with another runner leaving the home straight on the first occasion.

CORDON ROUGE – Bumped with another runner at the start. Trainer B. Currie was fined $100 for failing to produce the Thoroughbred Identification Card.

QUICK SPUR – Raced in restricted room for a short distance near the 800m. Bumped with another runner at the 700m.

CHINSKY – Became unbalanced when bumped by another runner near the 1700m. Raced wide throughout.

MR MALU – Improved on to the heels of another runner near the 100m and had to be steadied. Bumped with another runner leaving the home straight on the first occasion. K. Yoshida was fined $100 for using the whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m.
