Race 1: DALBY & DISTRICT FRIENDLY SOCIETY DISPENSARY Maiden Handicap 1000 metres
 
On The Mantle – Slow to begin. Raced in restricted room from the 800m until a point near the 700m. Placed in restricted room, checked and forced wider near the 500m when OMBRE VOLANTE laid out despite the best efforts of its rider.
 
Take A Picture – Buffeted between runners on jumping and lost ground. Leaving the 200m, when attempting a narrow run, was placed in restricted room when OMBRE VOLANTE laid in despite the best efforts of its rider.
 
Caxton Curve – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
Metaverse – Began awkwardly. Bumped and forced wider by ON THE MANTLE near the 500m. Was forced to steady and shift wider near the 400m when OMBRE VOLANTE shifted out.  
 
Shotgun Sam – Bumped and forced wider near the 400m by METAVERSE. Laid in when placed under
 
Ombre Volante – Near the 500m, blundered and commenced lay out, forcing ON THE MANTLE to be placing in restricted room and checked and METAVERSE bumped and forced wider. Near the 400m shifted out resulting in METAVERSE being forced wider onto SHOTGUN SAM. Jockey C. Taylor was issued a reprimand for careless riding under AR131(a) Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
Race 2: Dalby Rugby Race Day 29th October Maiden Plate 1400 metres
 
Northern Water – Began awkwardly making contact with PLAYING HOOKIE. Laid out when rounding the home turn.
 
Tell the World – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
Three More Wishes – Hampered and forced to shift out near the 400m when PLAYING HOOKIE shifted out.
 
Playing Hookie – Bumped on jumping. Held up for clear running from the 600m until a point near the 400m. Leaving the 400m, improved onto the heels of CORSUCAN and shifted out momentarily hampering THREE MORE WISHES.
 
Whiskey Row – Laid out when rounding the home turn. Forced wider on the home turn,
 
In Close Reach – Began awkwardly.
 
 
Race 3: D&NDJC Maiden Plate 1400 metres
 
Stewards permitted apprentice J. Molloy to claim 1.0 kilogram of his 1.5 Kilogram allowance due to no other suitable apprentice being available.
 
My Whistleblower – Began awkwardly. Raced wide without cover for the majority.
 
Purinuan Boy – Bumped heavily on jumping by VISUAL ELEMENT.
 
Alaltun (NZ) – Began awkwardly.
 
Mahigrant – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Royal Rift – Tightened for room on jumping and lost ground.
 
Visual Element – Began awkwardly making heavy contact with PURINUAN BOY. Shifted out off the heels of TWOMAKESAPAIR near the 600m resulting in ALATUN being placed in restricted room to the inside of MAHIGRANT. Apprentice J. Molloy was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for his use of the whip 7 times prior to the100m.
 
 
 
 
Race 4: GREENAWAY PLUMBING & GAS QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1200 metres
 
Mr Wandji – Momentarily crowded near the 800m.
 
Toba – Began awkwardly. Raced wide without cover throughout the middle stages. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Jockey N. Keal was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for his use of the whip 6 times prior to the 100m.
 
Mishani Kingdom – Raced greenly in the early stages. Shifted out abruptly near the 1000m.
 
Frijoles – Began awkwardly.
 
Miss Gideon – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
Radiant Queen – Began awkwardly making contact with DON’T TALK ABOUTIT and as a result lost ground.
 
Don't Talk Aboutit – Bumped on jumping. Improved onto heels and was forced to steady near the 700m.
 
Miss Cinnamoncider – Momentarily steadied from the heels near the 50m when TOBA shifted in. Jockey N. Keal (the rider of TOBA) was reprimanded under AR131(a)
 
 
 
Race 5: PURCELL CIVIL & CONSTRUCTION COUNTRY HEIST Class 2 Plate 1200 metres
 
Stormtrooper – Improved onto heels of REAL HUSSEY and blundered near the 800m. Raced wide for the majority.
 
Palentiful – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Real Hussey – Raced keen in the early stages. Hung out rounding the home turn. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
Foxy Rose – Held up for clear running from th 600m – 400m.
 
Kaliya – Began awkwardly. Raced keen in the early and middle stages. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.
 
Real Drama – Began awkwardly making contact WHOSTOPPEDTHERAIN.
 
Whostoppedtherain – Bumped on jumping. When questioned regarding the below market expectation performance, Apprentice A. Donald advised that her mount was inclined to hang throughout making contact with the running rail on a number of occasions. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.  
 
 
Race 6: OUR LADY OF THE SOUTHERN CROSS COLLEGE BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 800 metres
 
Remember Mary – Sifted out shortly after the start tightening runners to the outside.
 
Good Grab – Shifted in at the 600m, forcing CHEESIE to steady from heels. Apprentice N. Keal was issued a reprimand under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for his use of the whip 7 times prior to the 100m.
 
Runamigo – Began awkwardly making contact with IMPLACABLE. Tightened for room shortly after the start. Shifted in at the 400m placing CHEESIE in restricted room. Shifted in abruptly to obtain clear running near the 150m.
 
Songzilla – Began awkwardly making contact with IGBO. Apprentice W. Peel was issued a reprimand under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for her use of the whip 6 times prior to the 100m.
 
Cheesie – Near the 600m, was forced to check from heels when GOOD GRAB shifted in. Jockey N. Keal (the rider of GOOD GRAB) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) in that at a point leaving the 600m he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of CHEESIE, resulting in that runner being forced to check from heels. Jockey Keal’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 9 days to commence 18/9/2022 and to conclude 26/9/2022. Near the 400m, was placed in restricted room and forced to ease when RUNAMIGO shifted in. Apprentice J. Molloy (the rider of RUNAMIGO) was issued a reprimand under AR131(a).
 
Igbo – Began awkwardly making contact with SONGZILLA.
 
Implacable – Bumped on jumping. Tightened for room shortly after the start.
 
 
 
Race 7: G.J.GARDNER HOMES DALBY & CHINCHILLA DALBY NEWMARKET OPEN Handicap 1100 metres
 
Bold Style – Jockey N. Keal was fined $200 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for his use of the whip 8 times prior to the 100m.
 
Voulait – Raced keen in the early stages. Jockey D’Avila was issued a reprimand under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for his use of the whip
 
By the Law – Began awkwardly. After beginning on terms with the field was unable to muster the speed necessary to maintain its position and trailed the field throughout. Stewards noted the distance of todays event was well short of the geldings most suited. Trainer J Hanna corroborated this and advised that as the gelding was resuming from a spell he believed it would derive a significant fitness benefit from the run.
 
 
Race 8: DALBY CREDIT UNION PLOUGH INN CUP Maiden Plate 1400 metres
 
Grinzinger Hulk (NZ) – Raced wide for the majority. Jockey G. Walters dropped his whip near the 200m.
 
Ironside – Apprentice J. Molloy was fined $200 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for his use of the whip 7 times prior to the 100m.
 
Dreamseeker – Slow into stride. Bumped by HECTOR SAGOA near the 200m.
 
Pearls 'N' Pimms – Over raced n the early stages. Following the event Trainer N. Hahn advised the mare would now be sent for an immediate spell. Apprentice W. Peel was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for her use of the whip 6 times prior to the 100m.
 
HECTOR SAGOA – Bumped with DREAMSEEKER near the 200m.
 
Following the running of this event the racing surface was upgraded to a Soft 6.
 
 
 
Race 9: TAB DALBY CUP OPEN Handicap 1400 metres
 
The Tyler – Trainer L Hatch was reprimanded under the provisions of LR67(1) for the late declaration of rider. Improved onto heels at the 1200m, shifted out, and as a result raced wide for the majority. Raced keen in the early stages.
 
Bentley Magic – Began awkwardly.
 
Festival Prince – Began awkwardly. Apprentice
 
Bean Dancing – Tightened for room on jumping.
 
Diggity – Began awkwardly. Bumped with OVERSEAS (NZ) near the 550m. Tailed off from the 400m taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Trainer T. Moloney was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding.
 
Military Kings – Raced wide for the majority. Laid in near the 200m and
 
OVERSEAS (NZ) – Slow to begin. Trainer L. Hatch was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding. Bumped with DIGGITY near the 550m.
 
 
Race 10: TOM FRITH MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1200 metres
 
 
Tintinwin (NZ) – Raced in restricted room near the 750m.
 
Exceed Rock – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination at the barriers and was passed ft to start. Began awkwardly. Raced in restricted room near the 750m.
 
Vertical – Raced in restricted room near 750m.
 
Coynes Road – Near the 800m, was placed in restricted room and lost ground when EXCEED ROCK shifted in. Apprentice J. Molloy (the rider of EXCEED ROCK) was reprimanded for careless riding under AR131(a). In assessing penalty stewards took into consideration that at a point near the 800m, VERTICAL was forced to shift outwards after obtaining a position inside the line of the course proper rail when leaving the 1400m shoot which in their opinion was a contributing factor to the interference.
 
Charged – Sifted in marginally near the 750m tightening runners to the inside. Apprentice W. Peel was advised to exercise more care in future circumstances.
 
Miralie – Raced wide without cover for the majority.
 
Righthere Rightnow – Held up from the 500m before shifting out to obtain clear running near the 300m.
