RACE 2: ASCEND SALES TROPHIES LIGHTNING H’CAP – 1050M

After viewing the stewards’ patrol footage, T. Harrison, the rider of THINKHESAURUS, placed 4th by the Judge, lodged an objection against THE STOREMAN being declared 3rd, alleging interference in the early stages of the home straight. After taking evidence from the parties concerned and viewing the videos, stewards found that although THE STOREMAN did shift out and make contact with THINKHESAURUS at that point of the race, bearing in mind the short neck margin separating both horses at the finish, they could not be comfortably satisfied that had the contact not occurred, THINKHESAURUS would have beaten THE STOREMAN to the finish. Therefore, the protest was dismissed and correct weight was semaphored on the Judge’s placings.
