Race 1: Rexel ASG Integracom Maiden H'cap - 1110m

MIRANDA JANE – Stewards permitted jockey G. Colless to ride half a kilogram over his declared riding weight when no other rider was available at that time. G. Colless penalised the sum of $200.

WHO’S YOUR DADDY – Slow to begin.

AMY LYNN – Hampered soon after the start when tightened for room. B. Stewart of SHADY DAISY was issued with a reprimand and advised to provide greater clearance to his fellow riders.

JACKSON BAY – Jockey B. Stewart, rider of SHADY DAISY, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding, in that near the 950m he permitted his mount to shift in when not sufficiently clear of JACKSON BAY, resulting in the rider of that horse having to taken hold to avoid the heels of SHADY DAISY. B. Stewart was suspended from riding in races for a period covered by 6 meetings, to commence at midnight, 27 June and to expire at midnight, 8 July. Commenced to overrace near the 900m and had to be restrained from heels.

O’SPACEHELLO – Restrained from heels approaching the 800m. Hung out under pressure in the home straight. A post race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the near hindleg.

MR SANDMAN – Jockey A. Spinks reported at scale that his mount was not entirely comfortable in today’s track conditions.


Race 2: Haymans Brisbane Bloodstock Bonus QTIS 2yo F&M Plate – 1110m

DENOUNCED – Jumped away awkwardly and made heavy contact with another runner. Hung out badly making the first turn and continued to do so in the middle stages, proving difficult to load. Trainer M. Dunn advised that the horse would now be spelled. However he was nevertheless advised that the horse must trial in an official trial prior to its next race start.

TAHITIAN FLYER – Severely hampered at the start when bumped heavily. Overraced in the early stages.

AMBER JET – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted in abruptly.

GRACEVILLE – Had to be checked soon after the start when tightened for room. Overraced in the early stages. Race 3 wide without cover.

MISHANI NEFERTITI – Raced 3 wide. Jockey B. Pengelly reported that the filly was not entirely comfortable on today’s track conditions, however he was nevertheless advised by stewards to ensure he rides his mounts out to the end of the race.


Race 3: L&H Auslec F&M Class 3 Plate – 1200m

LAUGH A LITTLE – A veterinary examination in the horse-stall area cleared the mare to race.

JUST KEEP GIVING – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.


Race 4: Energy Super Class 4 H'cap – 1660m

TALON LADY – Checked, clipped heels and blundered near the 1300m, losing ground. Forced to race 3 wide from that point.

TRACEY’S ANGEL – Apprentice J. Orman was charged with careless riding, in that near the 1300m he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of TALON LADY, which as a result had to be checked, taking the heels of TRACEY’S ANGEL and blundering badly. Stewards acceded to a request from apprentice J. Orman to adjourn the matter to Saturday, 27 June in order to seek an opinion regarding this incident from Mr S. Scriven, Racing Queensland Jockey Advocate.

UNBOWED – Inconvenienced and forced wider near the 1300m.

SOMERSET LASS – Raced in restricted room over the concluding stages.

Race 5: NHP QTIS 3yo Benchmark 70 H'cap – 1660m

REAL STING – Overraced in the middle stages.

DETACHMENT – Overraced in the middle stages.

BUKEKAYO – Overraced in the middle stages. Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.


Race 6: Workpac McInnes Wilson Ratings Band 0-70 H'cap – 1050m

CANNY AND THE JET – Jockey B. Pengelly was issued with a reprimand for being late into the enclosure for his engagement on the horse. Reared as the start was effected and lost considerable ground, taking no competitive part in the race. Trainer S. Kendrick was advised that he must obtain a further barrier certificate for the horse.

ALI MOUNTAIN – Began awkwardly and lost ground.

RIVERBOLDA – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.


Race 7: Clipsal Schneider CG&E Class 3 Plate – 1200m

COMACINA - The start of this race was delayed when the horse had to be attended to by the farrier upon arrival at the barriers.

MR JETSET – The start was further delayed when the horse became fractious in the barriers. The horse was removed, examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. Held up and unable to improve rounding the home turn.

HITMAN HARRY – On the undertaking that the horse had raced in blinkers at its previous starts, stewards permitted that gear to be worn in today’s race. Subsequently, stewards were able to establish that the horse did not carry blinkers and as a result trainer Mr Q. Kearney was fined the sum of $200. Slow to begin.

SMASHER – Had to be restrained when awkwardly placed at heels approaching the 900m.

CORNROW – Raced 3 wide without cover.

YEAGER – Raced 3 wide throughout.

Race 8: CNW TM Scrap Metal Class 4 H'cap – 1350m

CAMORA – Trainer D. Forster was fined $200 for failing to advise a gear change of blinkers for the horse.

MARTILAGO – Trainer T. Edmonds was fined $200 for failing to declare a rider for the horse by the prescribed time.

MISS INTERIOURS – Slow to begin. Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.

CARMORA – Jumped away awkwardly and made contact with another runner.

CRUZ BY – Bumped heavily at the start and lost ground. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.

MARTILAGO – Began awkwardly.
