SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:

From Doomben 24.6.15 – Race 4: Apprentice J. Orman, the rider of TRACEY’S ANGEL, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR. 137(a), in that near the 1300m he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of TALON LADY, which as a result had to be checked, taking the heels of TRACEY’S ANGEL and blundering badly. Apprentice Orman’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 7 meetings, with the term to commence at midnight on Saturday 4 July and expire at midnight on Wednesday 15 July 2015.

Race 1: HLB MANN JUDD QTIS 2YO H’CAP – 1200M

REAL GOOD – Slow to begin.

PRIVLAKA – Overraced in the early stages.

BAM’S PRINCESS – Raced three wide throughout.

CERTAIN ELLIE – Jumped away awkwardly.

FLAMENCO GIRL – Hampered at the start.

LADY MANHATTAN – Hampered at the start.

RAINBOW NATION – Hung out in the middle stages and in the early part of the straight, which placed J. Byrne at a disadvantage. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities and a swab sample was taken.

WACK’EM – Steadied from heels passing the 800m, shifted wider and raced three wide from that point.

Race 2: BANK OF QUEENSLAND NEW FARM BM85 H’CAP – 2200M

Trainer B. Baldwin was fined $100 for failing to have VALERIE D’AMOUR on course by the prescribed time.

FRETON – Raced three wide without cover.

SHOTOVER RIVER – Had to be steadied approaching the winning post when tightened for room by another runner.

LUCKY LIAISON – Jumped awkwardly. T. Bell reported at scale that due to the gelding not jumping away cleanly, his mount got further back in the race than he intended.

IN MASQUERADE – Shifted in over the concluding stages, tightening another runner.

HARBOR SPRINGS – Slow to begin.

KOBI CREEK – Tightened close to the finishing line.

WIMPOLE STREET – Slow to begin. Held up rounding the home turn.

ENDLESS PUZZLE – Had to be steadied and brushed the running rail when briefly tightened for room passing the winning post on the first occasion when LEGSMAN shifted in. Apprentice R. Ride was advised to exercise more care in future.

Due to an electronic timer malfunction, this race was hand-timed.

Race 3: BMAG – BRISBANE TOWN PLATE MAIDEN PLATE – 1350M

SAVANERO – J. Byrne reported that his mount travelled well until placed under pressure after leaving the 600m and was most disappointing in its finishing effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

SUPERSPORT – Stood flat-footed at the start at the start and lost considerable ground. Had to be restrained from heels near the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer R. Litton will be advised that a warning will be placed on SUPERSPORT.

CARMENERE – Held up rounding the home turn.

MANDRYKA – Bumped heavily at the start. Raced three wide without cover.

NEWS EDITOR – Jumped away awkwardly and made heavy contact with another runner.

WISCONSIN – Underwent a veterinary examination behind the barriers and was cleared to start.

TOLDYASO – Raced three wide throughout.

LAREBIL – Had to be checked to avoid the heels of another runner at the entrance to the straight and then shifted out and made contact with CARMENERE, which in turn made contact with another runner, and was then held up for a considerable distance.

MIMI AMARA – Jumped away awkwardly. Held up in the early part of the straight when awkwardly placed on heels. Lost its off fore plate in running.


Race 4: PMP LIMITED – BRC PLATE – 1350M

As B. Stewart was to be overweight, R. Fradd was substituted as the rider of ALFIE JUNIOR. B. Stewart was fined $200.

MURT THE FLIRT – Raced three wide without cover after leaving the 800m.

BOARD DIRECTOR – Overraced in the early stages.

OUR ROCK O’REILLY – Raced wide in the early stages and was then ridden forward to take up a position near the lead.

PRESS SECRETARY – Overraced in the early stages.

ALFIE JUNIOR – Had to be checked and lost ground approaching the 1200m when MISCHIEVOUS DEVIL (J. Byrne) shifted in when not fully clear. J. Byrne pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR. 137(a) and his licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 6 meetings, with the term to commence at midnight on Saturday 27 June and expire at midnight on Wednesday 8 July 2015. In assessing penalty, stewards took into account J. Byrne’s good riding record.

LUXURY – Slow to begin.

Race 5: HORIZON SUPERANNUATION OPEN H’CAP – 1050M

ROCKY KING – Pulled its near fore plate in running. Apprentice M. Wood was reprimanded for allowing his mount to shift in making the first turn when not fully clear of another runner.

SEEKING MORE – Had to be steadied making the first turn to avoid the heels of another runner.

THINKHESAURUS – Hampered after travelling a short distance and soon after had to be steadied when tightened for room. Forced wider by another runner near the 800m. Raced wide without cover.

JOHNNYDRAMA – Overraced in the early stages and shifted out from heels near the 800m.

Race 6: ROBERT BAX & ASSOCIATES CLASS 6 H’CAP – 1200M

Correct weight was delayed when R. McMahon, the rider of SHOUT TO THE TOP, which did not jump with the field and lost considerable ground, made an application for his mount to be declared a non-runner on the grounds that it had been denied a fair start due to a barrier attendant having a hold of the horse when the start was effected. After taking evidence from the starter, jockey McMahon and the horse’s trainer Mr D. Williams, stewards could not be satisfied that the horse had not been afforded a fair start and denied the request, particularly as jockey McMahon had requested assistance with the horse in the barriers.

ABU BEN ADAM – Raced wide without cover.

FAITH’N’COURAGE – Tightened for room near the 800m. Briefly tightened for room near the 100m.

BIG DECISION – Had to be steadied when tightened for room passing the 1000m.

TRUE ROYAL – The veterinary surgeon reported that the gelding was slow to recover post-race.

SHOUT TO THE TOP – Stood flat-footed at the start at the start and lost considerable ground.

LUCKY NEWS – Had to be checked near the 800m when tightened for room.

B. Stewart, the rider of HANDYMAN BOB, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR. 137(a) in that leaving the 1000m, whilst riding his mount along, he placed it inside the heels of DREAM OF SLIPS, resulting in tightening to runners to his inside. B. Stewart’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 7 meetings, with the term to commence at midnight on Wednesday 8 July and expire at midnight on Friday 17 July 2015.

Race 7: SALMAT OPEN H’CAP – 1350M

PHELAN READY – Slow to begin.

JAZZ SONG – Began awkwardly. J. Byrne could offer no excuse for the filly’s disappointing performance.

ELUSIVE STORM – Trainer B. Smith advised that the horse will be ridden more forward today if possible. The raced three wide in a more forward position.

SATURN ROCK – Late scratching at 8.45 am for veterinary reasons.

ANGUSROY – Hampered at the start. Had to alter course to the inside to avoid heels near the 300m.

Race 8: PMP LIMITED 0MW H’CAP (THIS SEASON) – 1600M

NOISY OCEAN – Raced three wide throughout.

DUBAWI DREAM – Prevented from improving around the heels of another runner when taken back in by runners to the outside near the 400m.

HARD TICKER – Raced three wide throughout.

SPICE OF LIFE – Stood flat-footed at the start and lost considerable ground. Had difficulty securing clear running in the home straight and as a result went to the line not fully tested by its rider.

HOT SAGA – Unable to secure clear running rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight.

HEART OF A WARRIOR – Overraced in the early and middle stages. Held up rounding the home turn. Raced in restricted room over the final stages of the race.

IN THE GENES – Held up and unable to improve approaching and rounding the home turn.

LORDAG – Disappointed for clear running in the home straight until near the 150m.

THREE RONDAVELS – Raced three wide throughout.

STEPS TO STARDOM – Held up rounding the home turn.

MORE ENERGY – Raced wide without cover throughout.
