Race 1: AH DONE CONSTRUCTIONS 0MW H’CAP – 1050M

REAL FAVULOUS – Overraced in the early stages.

VOLTAIRE LUMIERE – Slow to begin. Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early stages of the straight and then was held up over the concluding stages.

STAROCITY – Slow to begin. A swab sample was taken.

TWISTED MOUNTAIN – Slow to begin. Held up in the early stages of the straight. When questioned regarding the horse’s improved performance, trainer C. Munce stated that the gelding was disappointing at its previous start at the Sunshine Coast on a soft track, however given that the gelding was down in weight today, with apprentice Fancourt’s claim, and the firmer racing surface, he was not surprised by the improved showing.

WUZETIAN – Raced wide without cover.

RUSTIC PLAY – Raced wide throughout.

 
Race 2: QANTAS FOUNDERS MUSEUM OPEN H’CAP – 2030M

LOCK’S LEGEND – Held up rounding the home turn and then laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.

CANNY BALLAD – Overraced in the early stages. Got its head up when being restrained passing the 1200m.

MANICERO – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

Following the running of this event the track was upgraded to FIRM 2 retrospective.


Race 3: GIVE BACK CAMPAIGN CLASS 6 PLATE – 1630M

HARADA BAY – Shifted out near the 600m, taking PERPLEXITY wider on the track.

PERPLEXITY – Forced wider on the track near the 600m.

ARCTIC – Held up rounding the home turn.

UNIQUE MYSTIQUE – Jumped awkwardly.


Race 4: PFD FOODS OPEN H’CAP – 1200M

CHOICE BRO – Inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight.

VINTAGE MOSS – Inclined to hang out after leaving the 800m.

KEMPELLY – M. Cahill reported that his mount did not appreciate the firm track today.

EASY RUNNING – Had to be steadied off heels near the 900m. R. Fradd reported that his mount did not appreciate the firm track today.

G’DAY OLD MATE – Overraced in the early stages when being restrained.

ROSENET – Raced wide without cover.

Race 5: HEART OF AUSTRALIA CLASS 6 PLATE – 1350M

CAELLUM – Raced wide without cover throughout.

LE VAL – Examined by the veterinary surgeon prior to the start and passed fit to run.

THE THOMAS AFFAIR – Raced in restricted room passing the 900m.

NOTONYOURLIFE – J. Byrne was advised to ensure he rides his mounts out to the end of the race.

Race 6: OUTBACK QUEENSLAND TOURISM F&M BM75 H’CAP – 1200M

PANDORA CHARM – Bumped by another runner shortly after the start.

HALLSIDE ROSE – Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with the hind quarters of another runner and then was tightened for room and had to be checked.

SPEEDY SAM – Jumped awkwardly.

TOTAL AUTHORITY – Shifted in after passing the winning post and brushed SARISARA. Apprentice L. Tarrant was advised to exercise more care in future.

SILVER TRINKET – Slow to begin.

Race 7: WINTON OUTBACK FESTIVAL C,G&E BM75 H’CAP – 1200M

HEADWATER COUNTRY – Restless in the barriers, examined by the veterinary surgeon and passed fit to run.

MR JETSET – Restless in the barriers, examined by the veterinary surgeon and passed fit to run. Held up from rounding the home turn until leaving the 200m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had small punctures to the outside of the near fore cannon and the front of the off fore cannon

SONY LEGEND – Raced ungenerously when being steadied near the 900m. Had difficulty obtaining clear running until near the 250m.

WATLING – Raced wide without cover.

GID UP STROP – Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and bumped with another runner.

LITTLE WHITE – Hung out under pressure in the straight.

SELFIE – Had to be checked when tightened for room shortly after the start.

Race 8: KANGAROO BUS LINES QTIS 3YO H’CAP – 1050M

MISHANI DI CAPRIO – As apprentice S. Payne was to be overweight, apprentice B. Appo was substituted as the rider of this runner. Apprentice Payne was fined $200. Taken wider on the track after leaving the 800m.

SECRET SAGA – Slow to begin. Shifted out abruptly near the 700m to avoid other runners. Hung out near the 500m. Laid in under pressure in the straight.

HONEY KO – Taken wider on the track after leaving the 800m.

TAMROOKUM – Slow to begin. Had to check away from heels near the 700m.
