GENERAL

As P. Hammersley was overweight stewards permitted T. Harrison to be substituted as the rider of NATIONAL TRAIL (Race 2) and R. Fradd as the rider of COUPERIN (Race 6). P. Hammersley was subsequently fined $300.00.

After receiving a complaint from Brisbane Race Club track staff regarding an incident that took place at Doomben early Friday morning 13/11/2015, App S. Payne pleaded guilty to a charge of misconduct and was fined $200.00

Race 1: 4-Game Flexi Membership QTIS 2YO H’Cap - 1050m

EMTEVEE QUEEN – Slow to begin. Raced greenly in the home straight.

SHE’S FAST – Slow to begin.

BOOM SHUCKA – App M. McGillivray reported at scale that his mount raced flat today and did not finish the race off as he expected. Trainer L. Birchley advised that the gelding will now be sent for a short spell.

App S. Payne the rider of RAINY DAY WOMAN was fined $200.00 for using his whip in a forehand manner on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100m.

Race 2: #Bronxnation QTIS 3YO H’Cap - 1050m

At the request of trainer M. Dunn MADOTTI was declared a late scratching at 12.32 p.m. due to the track downgrade.

PRIVLAKA was declared a late scratching at 1.02 p.m. by order of stewards acting on veterinary advice after the gelding was kicked by another runner in the preliminary. All monies invested on PRIVLAKA were ordered to be refunded. Deductions applicable to bets placed on winner and placegetters prior to 1.02 p.m.:-

19 cents in the dollar for the win - #2 (SECRET SAGA)
13 cents in the dollar for the place of winner - #2 (SECRET SAGA)
23 cents in the dollar for the 2nd place - #4 (LA DOLCE VITA)

NATIONAL TRAIL – Raced wide without cover throughout.

Following the running of this event the track was upgraded to a Soft 6 retrospective.

Race 3: The Courier Mail Fillies & Mares NMW H'Cap - 1350m

The start of this race was delayed 5 minutes due to a jockey meeting.

RICH REWARD – Slow to begin.

ANOTHER GIRL – Slow to begin.

JE SUIS PREST – Near the 300m shifted out abruptly to avoid heels.

RIGHTEOUS MISS - Near the 300m shifted out abruptly to avoid heels.

NELAMOS – Raced wide without cover throughout.

DAME DESTINY – When questioned regarding the performance of the mare jockey R. Fradd could offer no excuses other than it may not have appreciated the step up in distance today.

Race 4: Construction Skills Queensland BenchMark 75 H'Cap - 2200m

COASTAL GEM – Slow to begin.

KURRAJONG DRAGON – Slow to begin.

SPACE INVADER – Slow to begin. Raced wide in the early stages.

INIQUITY – Near the 1400m had to be steadied when pulling hard.

INKA DINKA DOO – Near the 1400m had to check way from heels.


Race 5: One Key Resources Colts, Geldings & Entires NMW H'Cap - 1350m

Trainer S. Lee was fined $100.00 for failing to provide the document of description for STING.

HOMEHILL – Connections advised they would endeavour to ride the horse more forward today if circumstances permit. The horse was ridden accordingly. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight. App M. McGillivray was advised that in similar circumstances he must refrain from using the whip and straighten his mounts.

WEARING WINGS – Slow to begin.

BOY SCOUT – Slow to begin.

MARKSFIELD – Slow to begin.

TUNED IN – Raced wide throughout.

MONASHEE WOODS – Raced wide throughout.

DEVILGATE ROAD – Raced wide without cover throughout.


Race 6: The Courier Mail BenchMark 80 H'Cap - 1600m

SEA RED – Near the 400m altered course abruptly when steadying away from the heels of another runner.

TAIL AND ALL – Raced wide without cover throughout.

GRAYSON SQUARE – Raced wide without cover throughout.

DARCI’S AFFAIR – Eased out of the race approaching the home turn. The gelding was subsequently found to have suffered a bleeding attack during the event. Trainer B. Murray was advised that the gelding will incur a mandatory 3 month ban from racing and must gallop satisfactorily over 1000m prior to racing again.

TOPENDING – Had to be steadied away from heels near the 100m.

COSMONAUT – Shifted in under pressure and had to be steadied away from heels near the 100m.

B. Stewart the rider of COMACINA was fined $300.00 for using his whip in a forehand manner on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100m


Race 7: One Key Resources Keith Noud H'Cap (Listed) - 1200m

At the request of trainer P. Snowden THAT’S A GOOD IDEA was declared a late scratching at 3.15 p.m. due to the track conditions.

STEEL ZIP – Lost the near fore plate during the preliminary and was subsequently replated behind the barrier.

LE VAL – Slow to begin.

TINTO – From inside the 200m was unable to obtain clear running for the remainder of the event.

FALINO – Raced wide without cover throughout.

CASUAL CHOICE – Raced wide without cover throughout.

Following the running of this event the track was upgraded to a Soft 5 retrospective.


Race 8: Broncos Superstore BenchMark 75 H’Cap - 1200m

At the request of trainer J. McLachlan INTERJECT was declared a late scratching at 11.15 a.m. due to the track downgrade.

At the request of trainer B. Dais SOLDI DOMANI was declared a late scratching at 11.55 a.m. due to the track downgrade.

TINA MELINA – Restless in the barriers, refused to jump with the field and took no competitive part in the race. TINA MELINA was deemed a definite runner by the stewards. Trainer T. Gollan was advised that the mare would be required to obtain a further barrier certificate before racing again. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare had sustained an abrasion to the near side knee.

SELFIE – Raced fiercely approaching the 800m and continued to do so until the 600m. Held up for clear running inside the 200m and shifted out abruptly to obtain clear running.

FANTISHA – Raced wide without cover after leaving the 800m.
