Race 1: Stav. Abby And Matt With Osher’s Class 6 Plate – 1350m
 
GLENDARA – Slow to begin.  Pulled hard in the early stages.
 
BETTER LAND – Slow to begin.
 
RED DYNAMITE – Bumped on jumping away.
 
CASHING UP – Had to be steadied inside the 50m.
 
TRUBIA suffered a bleeding attack during the event.  Trainer M. Lakey was advised that the horse will incur a mandatory 3 month ban from racing and must gallop satisfactorily over 1000m in the presence of a steward before racing again.
 
CARELESS suffered a bleeding attack during the event.  Trainer M. Newnham was advised that the gelding will incur a mandatory 3 month ban from racing and must gallop satisfactorily over 1000m in the presence of a steward before racing again.
 
 
Race 2: Winning Edge Listed Stakes – 1350m
 
BEACH DRUM – Overraced in the early stages.
 
LADY LARK – Inclined to hang out rounding the home turn.
 
PRETTY FAST – Held up rounding the home turn when disappointed for a run shortly after entering the straight.  Had to be steadied near the 150m when tightened for room between runners.  Jockey D. Browne reported that after suffering some interference in the early stages of the straight his mount was reluctant to stretch out over the concluding stages.
 
MISHANI WRANGLER – Hung in near the 150m.  Jockey J. Lloyd reported at scale that his mount was inclined to hang in throughout.
 
BRANDO – Raced wide throughout.
 
GUISSOLA – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
 
Race 3: Furnaces @ Aquis Farm Crystal Slipper 2YO Fillies Plate – 1200m
 
FRIENDS – Trainer M. Wilson advised the horse would be ridden more forward today if circumstances permit.  The horse settled midfield. Held up rounding the home turn.  A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.
 
COOL MOVER -  Bled near side nostril during the event.  The stable was advised that the filly must gallop satisfactorily over 1000m in the presence of a steward before racing again.
 
RED HOT MISS – Slow to begin.  Inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight.
 
SISTA ACT – Jumped away awkwardly.  Passing the 800m had to be restrained away from heels.  Held up over the concluding stages.
 
SERIOUS DOUBTS – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
 
Race 4: Singapore Airlines 3YO Plate – 1350m
 
DOUBLE SUPERLATIVE – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out making contact with another runner.
 
SMASHED IT – Bumped on jumping.
 
I’M A RIPPA – Bumped on jumping and became awkward.  Bumped near the 1100m.
 
WITH A PROMISE – Approaching the 1100m shifted in and bumped another runner.
 
KUBIS – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
RINGO’S A ROCKSTAR – Raced wide throughout.
 
SEDUCTIVE DREAM – Raced wide throughout.
 
EAT MY TRUST – A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.
 
Following the running of this event the track was upgraded to a GOOD 4.
 
 
Race 5: Carlton Mid Tattersall’s Group 3 Cup – 2200m
 
MY DIAMANTINE - Trainer B. Smith advised the horse would be ridden more forward today if circumstances permit. The horse was ridden accordingly.  After the winning post was tightened for room when improving to the inside of another runner.
 
FELTRE – Held up rounding the home turn.
 
PEMBERLEY – Jockey C. Brown could offer no excuses for the gelding’s poor performance. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding, which finished last, revealed no significant abnormalities.  Stable representative reported that the gelding subsequently underwent an endoscopic examination and was found to be suffering epiglottic entrapment and will now undergo corrective surgery and be sent for a spell.
 
Race 6: G.H. Mumm Open Listed Quality – 1615m
 
ELLE LOU - Stable representative advised the horse would be ridden more forward today if circumstances permit. The horse settled midfield.  Jockey K. McEvoy was questioned regarding the tactics he adopted approaching the 600m. Jockey McEvoy stated he attempted to shift to the outside of MAN OF HIS WORD at that point and then that horse shifted wider on the track and therefore he elected to steady his mount and angle back to the inside and cut the corner.  Jockey McEvoy added that near the 350m he attempted to come to the outside of DOUBLE IMPACT but was prevented from doing so by HOPFGARTEN and both horses bumped at that stage and then again was tightened for room approaching the 100m between runners and did not obtain clear running over the concluding stages.  His explanation was noted.
 
SAGARONNE – Slow to begin.
 
ROGALI – Slow to begin.
 
MAN OF HIS WORD – Jockey J. Lloyd reported at scale that his mount raced ungenerously throughout.
 
 
Race 7: Sky Racing Tattersall’s Group 1 Tiara – 1350m
 
SOLD FOR SONG – Trainer K. Kemp advised with the good barrier would endeavour to ride the horse more forward today if circumstances permit.  The horse was ridden midfield. Leaving the 300m became unbalanced when bumped.
 
IN HER TIME – Slow to begin and then bumped by another runner shortly after the start.  Raced wide throughout.
 
BIDII BABE – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight and then held up approaching the 200m.
 
EGYPTIAN SYMBOL – Inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight. Raced wide throughout.
 
ECKSTEIN – Had difficulty obtaining clear running over the concluding stages.
 
PROMPT RESPONSE – Momentarily held up on straightening. Near the 300m shifted in and improved to the inside of another runner and made heavy contact with SOLD FOR SONG. Jockey T. Berry (PROMPT RESPONSE) was reprimanded and advised to show greater care in similar circumstances
 
DANISH TWIST – Steadied from heels after leaving the 200m.  Near the 150m had to be severely checked off the heels of the weakening BONNY O’REILLY.  A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.
 
RARE OCCURRENCE – Approaching the 150m had to be steadied to avoid the heels of MISS COVER GIRL. Jockey D. Browne (MISS COVER GIRL) was reprimanded and advised to be fully clear when shifting ground.
 
BONNY O’REILLY – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
MATERNAL – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
FRENCH EMOTION – Raced wide throughout.
 
NANCY – Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 8: Ubet W.J. Healy Group 3 Stakes – 1200m
 
TOO GOOD TO REFUSE – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
MOGADOR – Slow to begin.
 
UPSTART PRIDE – Bumped and hampered shortly after the start between runners.  Approaching the first turn had to be steadied to avoid heels.  Jockey D. Browne (DOTHRAKI) was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.  Had to be steadied off heels near the 300m. Raced wide throughout.
 
IRISH CONSTABULARY – Bumped and hampered shortly after the start between runners.
 
DOTHRAKI – Raced wide without cover throughout.
