SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
 
GENERAL
 
Stewards approved the following Jockeys to ride overweight.
 
Race 1 – Larry Cassidy (Reliable Ruby) plus1kg at 55kg.
Race 7 – Brodie Loy (Secret Tales) plus 1/2kg at 55kg.
 
As Jim Byrne and Jackson Morris were not riding, replacements were made as per the riding summary.
 
 
 
Race 1: RACECOURSE VILLAGE No Metro Wins Handicap 1200 metres
 
For My Annie – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly early.
 
Mort Doyle – Trainer L Abbott was fined $300 pursuant to LR67(1) for failing to declare a rider by the prescribed time. Restrained from the wide barrier. Over raced early before steading from the heels of FREYA’S CLOAK which shifted in near the 800m then continued to over race for some distance.
 
Bonaparte – Slow to begin.
 
Dragon Miss – Post race Veterinary examination after its rider reported the mare felt awkward in its action. Found to have a laceration to its off fore.
 
Maya Bay – Began awkwardly
 
Miraclesfromheaven – Tightened on jumping and lost ground.
 
Reliable Ruby - Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide.
 
Royale Return – Began awkwardly. Raced wide.
 
See It Thru – Stewards approved Apprentice Adin Thompson to ride the gelding when no other rider was available at the weight.
 
All Stars – Raced wide. Laid in at various stages of the home straight before weakening.
 
 
Race 2: COUNTRY MUSIC RACEDAY 10 SEPTEMBER BENCHMARK 90 Handicap 2200 metres
 
 
Seat Of Power – Raced keenly for a short distance near the 1700m. Rider elected to leave a trailing position near the 1000m, progressed forward and positioned outside the leader near the 800m.
 
Fast Talking – Steadied from the heels of HOSTAGE OF WAR near the 1700m.
 
Dunhill – Rider elected to allow his mount to stride forward near the 1000m and raced wide for the remainder.
 
Lady Solerno – Rider reported the mare felt awkward in its action. Post-race veterinary examination found the mare to be lame in its off fore. Trainer R Cameron was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the mare competing.
 
 
Race 3: CASCADE QTIS Two-Year-Old Handicap 1050 metres
 
All That Pizzazz – Began awkwardly shifted in, was heavily bumped and became unbalanced. Near the 800m was inconvenienced and steadied from the heels of GODDESS OF PEACE which shifted out when over racing. Shifted out to avoid heels near the 300m and bumped with TOW THE LINE.
 
Alert State – Hampered and shifted wider near the 900m.
 
Spanish Angels – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced greenly throughout.
 
This Is One – Began awkwardly.
 
Tow The Line - Hampered and shifted wider near the 900m. Near the 800m forced wider. Approaching the 600m was heavily bumped and became unbalanced when GODDESS OF PEACE shifted out abruptly when over racing. Bumped near the 300m. Post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow post-race recovery.
 
Flaming Conquest – Began awkwardly, shifted out, was heavily bumped and became unbalanced.
 
Goddess Of Peace – Began awkwardly. Commenced to over race near the 800m and shifted out to avoid heels.  Approaching the 600m raced very ungenerously shifted out and bumped heavily with TOW THE LINE. Trainer H Page was advised that a warning would be placed on the filly’s racing manners.
 
 
 
 
Race 4: GALLOPERS SPORTS CLUB Fillies and Mares Class 6 Handicap 1350 metres
 
 
Renouf – Hampered on jumping and lost ground. Steadied from heels, inconvenienced, and bumped near the 700m when STARLA rolled out slightly and NEED NEW FRIENDS shifted in. Steadied near the 200m when NEED NEW FRIENDS rolled out.
 
Glitter Strip – Hung in over the concluding stages. App Wilson-Taylor reported that the mare never travelled in the conditions and proved very disappointing. Post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
Need New Friends – Began awkwardly and shifted in. Over raced early. Bumped near the 700m.
 
 
Race 5: SKY RACING Class 3 Plate 1110 metres
 
Harlequin Field – Shifted in near the 900m.
 
Miracle Day – Raced wide. Hampered near the 900m. Laid in over the concluding stages.
 
Mob Buster – Slow to begin.
 
Proper Rogue – Carried inwards near the 900m when JUST STROLLING rolled in. Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
Iring – Checked near the 600m.
 
Just Strolling – Began awkwardly
 
Military Parade – Over raced early. Steadied from the heels of HARLEQUIN FIELD near the 900 which shifted in when not fully clear, Jockey B Loy was reprimanded for careless riding pursuant to AR131(a) regarding for this incident. Raced wide. Post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had bled from both nostrils. Trained B Cavanough was advised that it would be stood down from competition for 3 months and would be required to gallop 1000m in the presence of a Steward prior to resuming.

Love My Super – Began awkwardly. Tightened for racing room near the 900m and obliged to steady when PROPER ROGUE was carried inwards by JUST STROLLING. Jockey R Maloney was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances. Near the 600m improved onto the heels of PROPER ROUGE and shifted out.

Expensive To Keep - Slow to begin.

 
 
Race 6: BRC FAMILY RACEDAY 30 JULY BENCHMARK 90 Handicap 1615 metres
 
Wham – Began awkwardly.
 
Prometheus – Buffeted between runners on jumping.
 
Milk Man – Restrained at the start from the wide barrier. Laid in over the concluding stages.
 
Puntura - Over raced in the early and middle stages.
 
Zing – Slow to begin. Carried wider near the 900m when PROMETHEUS shifted out.
 
Broken Hero – Knuckled on jumping. Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
 
 
Race 7: XXXX DRY BENCHMARK 75 Handicap 1615 metres
 
Willo Titto – Checked near the 250m when TAREX shifted in when not sufficiently clear. App K Wilson-Taylor was charged and pleaded guilty to careless riding pursuant to AR131(a) regarding this incident. App Wilson Taylor’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 9 days to commence midnight 30/7/22 and conclude midnight 8/8/22.
 
Stuck With You – Bumped on jumping.
 
Sneak Preview – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.
 
Couldn't Refuse – Bumped approaching and rounding the home turn on several occasions with TAIRUA.
 
Semaphore Girl – Slow to begin.
 
Tairua – Bumped approaching and rounding the home turn on several occasions with COULDN’T REFUSE.
 
Tarex – Began awkwardly. Steadied near the 1300m when SECRET TALES rolled in, Jockey B Loy will be advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances. Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight. Shifted in near the 250m in an attempt to secure clear running.
 
Maevila Ruler – Raced three wide for the majority. Momentarily forced four wide near the 1000m when SECRET TALES shifted out.
 
Count The Coin – Began awkwardly. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.
 
Secret Tales – Shifted out near the 1000m and raced wide for the remainder.
 
Doomani – Over raced early.
 
 
 
Race 8: BRC MEMBERSHIP QTIS Three-Year-Old Handicap 1050 metres
 
Legal Esprit – Required farrier work on arrival at the barriers to its near hind. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.
 
Avolonte – Began awkwardly.
 
Lime Soda – Raced wide. Bumped rounding the home turn and became unbalanced.
 
Muschialli – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Near the 200m bumped with NEDS GULLY.
 
Inasec – Post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had bled from both nostrils. Stable representative for the T Gollan stable was advised that it would be stood down from competition for 3 months and would be required to gallop 1000m in the presence of a Steward prior to resuming.
 
Sequesay – Began awkwardly. Rider reported that the filly felt awkward in its action. Post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
Mishani Sniper – Apprentice W Peel was charged pursuant to AR 143(14)(a) for failing to claim her full allowance and was fined $300.
 
Situation Room – Raced wide.
 
Ned's Gully – Bumped on jumping. Raced wide. Forced wider rounding the home turn when AVOLONTE shifted out. Bumped near the 200m when MUSCHIALLI shifted out.
 
 
Race 9: TAB VENUE MODE Colts, Geldings and Entires Class 6 Handicap 1350 metres
 
Prior to the declaration of correct weight Stewards considered an objection lodged by Jockey M Du Plessis (OAKFIELD TWILIGHT) rider of the second placed horse for alleged interference over the final 200m against the winner SWANSTON ridden by T Harrison. Stewards after considering the interference and taking evidence from both riders and Mr Kilner the trainer of SWANSTON were satisfied that over the concluding stages, SWANSTON did shift out and impede the running of OAKFIELD TWILIGHT and when considering the nose margin, the manner in which both horses finished off, Stewards were satisfied that the interference suffered to OAKFIELD TWILIGHT was greater than the margin and upheld the objection and declared correct weight on the new numbers of 14,13,2,4.
 
Don't Stop – Raced wide. Made the home turn awkwardly.
 
Ventura Ocean – Tightened for racing room over the concluding stages.
 
Safework – Over raced early. Steadied from heels near the 900m.
 
Enterprise Prince – Post race veterinary examination determined that the gelding had bled from both nostrils. As this was the second time that the gelding has been deemed a bleeder it will now incur a lifetime ban from racing.
 
Swanston – Laid in near the 200m before being correct by its rider. Shifted out over the concluding stages.
 
Oakfield Twilight – Obliged to alter course
 
Previso – Slow to begin.
