GENERAL
Stewards approved the following Jockeys to ride overweight.
Race 5 – Chris Meehan (A BIG CHANCE) plus 1kg at 55kg.
Race 7 – Brodie Loy (HOLSTEIN) plus 1kg at 56kg.
Race 8 – Taylor Marshall (VINCO) plus 1/2kg at 56kg.
 
 
Race 1: JONKER AT AQUIS QTIS Two-Year-Old Handicap 1050 metres
 
Magic Of Millo – Slow to begin. Over raced early. Rider reported that the colt raced greenly throughout. Trainer J Hubbard advised that it was his likely intention that MAGIC OF MILO would now be sent for a spell.
 
Abounding – Began awkwardly. Raced greenly and laid out when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
Salt Lake Betty – Slow to begin. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
Skirt The Law – Began awkwardly and shifted out.
 
Race 2: SKY RACING OPEN Handicap 2200 metres
 
Stardome – Laid in rounding the home turn and weakened in the run to the finish. Post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
Romakash – Slow to begin. Laid in over the concluding stages. Jockey J Taylor was charged and pleaded guilty pursuant to AR208(2)(a) in that he failed to weigh in as required for his 2nd placing and was fined $500. Stewards when considering AR210(2) and noting that he was still in possession of his race gear Stewards were satisfied that ROMAKASH carried its allotted weight.
 
 
 
Race 3: 3 ROAD TO MAGIC MILLIONS ON SALE NOW Class 3 Plate 1050 metres
 
 
Deep State – Steadied from heels near the 600m when over racing. Obliged to alter course near the 100m to secure clear running.
 
Zingalong – Near the 800m raced in restricted room to the inside of READY FOR BETTER. Laid in for a short distance in the early part of the home straight.
 
Poet's Girl – Bumped on jumping.
 
Ready For Better – Steading from heels in the early part of the home straight before easing wider to obtain clear running.
 
Saweetie – Raced wide.
 
Strategic Position – Cast the near hind plate.
 
 
Race 4: MOUNT FRANKLIN Fillies and Mares BM75 Handicap 1350 metres
 
 
Confessed – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
Bold And Lucy – As Ryan Wiggins was overweight and unable to fulfil his engagements he was replaced with Michael Cahill. Jockey Wiggins was fined $200 pursuant to AR190(3)
 
Red Light Roxanne – Slow to begin.
 
Stryking Princess – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
Race 5:GALLOPERS SPORTS CLUB Class 6 Handicap 1600 metres  
 
 
 
Slow Hands – inconvenienced and lost ground when obliged to steady from the heels of TOO MUCH CLASS which shifted in under hard riding near the 150m. Jockey Du Plessis was reprimanded pursuant to AR131(a) for this incident.
 
Drive A Deel – Jockey B Thompson reported that it was not his intention to lead but after beginning well and with limited speed shown by other runners, he elected to allow his mount to stride forward.
 
Joy Too All – Raced wide until approaching the 1250m, then over raced for some distance.
 
Too Much Class – Laid in near the 150m and again over the concluding stages.
 
Akihiro – Raced keenly early.
 
 
 
Race 6:XXXX DRY QTIS Three-Years-Old BM72 Handicap 1200 metres
 
Northern Express – Held up in the early part of the home straight.
 
Stroll – Began awkwardly.
 
Mishani Spartan – Slow to begin. Trailed the field throughout and underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
Chayse 'N' Artie – Bumped near the 900m. Raced wide. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight and near the 150m bumped with COUNT DA BEANS.
 
Count Da Beans – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Over raced in the early and middle stages. Steadied from the heels of NORTHERN EXPRESS near the 550m. Held up for clear running approaching the home turn until approaching the 100m. Bumped with CHAYSE N ARTIE when attempting to secure clear running near the 150m. Jockey Thompson was advised to exercise care when attempting to secure clear running.
 
Alamira – Slow to begin. Steadied from heels and shifted out near the 900m bumping with CHAYSE N ARTIE.
 
Race 7: CHANNEL 7 Colts, Geldings and Entires BM75 Handicap1350 metres
 
Prior to the running of this race the track was upgraded to a Good 3
 
 
Wolf Moon – Shifted out abruptly shortly after the start. Weakened in the home straight and underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
Raging Pole – Slow to begin.
 
Loveplanet – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
Hatchet – Trainer R Heathcote was fined $100 pursuant to LR67(1) for failing to notify a rider by the prescribed time. Raced wide.
 
Magic In Me – Raced wide.
 
Holstein – Over raced in the middle stages. Leaving the 100m was steadied when racing in restricted room to the inside of THE TYLER which rolled in and went to the line without being fully tested.
 
Menazzi – When asked to comment on the gelding’s performance Jockey Orman stated that after over racing he was not overly disappointed with todays effort when considering it was second up from a spell.
 
 
 
Race 8: AQUIS STALLIONS KEITH NOUD 1200 metres
 
 
Vinco – Jockey J Orman was replaced as the rider on Vinco by T Marshall when the Clerk of Scales alerted Stewards that Jockey Orman had weighed out in excess of his 1/2kg allowance and when required to reweigh Jockey Orman was unable to ride at the allotted weight as he had consumed some water.  Stewards when considering the matter noted that whilst there was some conjecture as to the weight which Jockey Orman weighed out and Jockey Orman was adamant that he had weighed out as required, none the less under the rules he had to be replaced. Stewards when considering the matter elected not to penalise Jockey Orman. Began awkwardly and was slow to begin. Over raced early. Held up between the 350 and 150m when attempting to secure a run between PROPER ROUGE and LAST CHANCE.
 
Last Chance – Hampered on jumping and lost ground.
 
Salateen – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin.
 
Proper Rogue – Raced wide.
 
Miss Divine Em -Raced wide.
 
 
Race 9: NOVA 106.9 NYE PARTY ON SALE BM80 Handicap 1200 metres
 
Colpo Di Tamburo – Raced wide.
 
Mob Buster – Slow to begin. Over raced middle stages.
 
High Cost – Raced wide.
 
Enterprise Pomme – Laid in under pressure leaving the 200m.
 
Extremist – Began awkwardly.
 
Subterranean – Slow to begin. Raced wide.
 
Say Haya – Slow to begin.

Magnus Bellagio – Leaving the 200m Had difficulty securing clear running between ORBISYN and ENTERPRISE POME.
