Race 1: RACECOURSE VILLAGE QTIS Two-Year-Old Handicap 1050 metres
 
QUASIMOTO – Began awkwardly. Had difficulty obtaining clear running on entering the home straight.
 
BEDAUB – Hampered on jumping. Momentarily inconvenienced approaching the 800m when racing in restricted room to the inside of FIVE STAR VIXEN.
 
FIVE STAR VIXEN – Approaching the 800m, whilst over racing, had to be restrained off the heels of ROTHAFELLA. Jockey A. Mallyon was reprimanded under AR 132(6)(b) for using his whip in a manner that raised his arm above shoulder height.
 
JACK'S BOOM – Began awkwardly.
 
SURREAL ASCOT – Began awkwardly. Laid in under pressure in the straight and on passing the 100m had to be corrected by its rider. Apprentice J. Lloyd reported his mount raced greenly.  
 
 
Race 2: SKY RACING QTIS 3YO Fillies BENCHMARK 72 Handicap 1200 metres
 
Due to the ambulance attending an injured barrier attendant, the start time of this event was delayed and rescheduled to 1.08pm.
 
BURNISH GOLD – Jumped away awkwardly, shifted in abruptly hampering ALFA LILY.
 
CENTRE BOUNCE – Began awkwardly.
 
MENARI MAGIC – Jumped away awkwardly and hampered shortly after the start by ALFA LILY. 
 
MINKS STAR – Jumped away awkwardly. Approaching the winning post was momentarily inconvenienced by CENTRE BOUNCE which laid in under pressure. Jockey B. Loy was reminded of his obligations to stop riding and correct his mount in future circumstances.
 
ALFA LILY – Severely hampered on jumping by BURNISH GOLD. Overraced in the middle stages and had to be restrained at the 600m after improving onto heels of CENTRE BOUNCE.
 
DIRTY DANCING – Raced wide throughout. Laid in under pressure in the straight and approaching the 200m when laying in, became awkwardly placed on the heels of ALFA LILY.
 
 
Race 3: CASCADE QTIS 3YO Colts & Geldings BENCHMARK 72 Handicap 1200 metres
 
Following the delay after race 1, race 3 began at the revised start time of 1.35pm.
 
BETTER RAIN – Jumped away awkwardly, shifted in contacting CRIPPS TONITE.
 
CRIPPS TONITE – Contacted on jumping away by BETTER RAIN. Jockey B. Thompson commented on returning to scale that after being hampered at the start, he settled further back than anticipated. Overraced in the early and middle stages, and had to restrained from the heels of VODKA MARTINI at the 1000m. Continued to be steadied off heels at the 700m.
 
HANG FIVE – Began awkwardly.
 
JACKED UP – Overraced during the early stages, shifted out leaving the 1000m carrying SHA OF GOMER wider.
 
SHA OF GOMER – Began awkwardly. Over raced in the early and middle stages. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
 
Race 4: BRC MEMBERSHIP PLUS BENCHMARK 78 Handicap 2020 metres
 
Following the delay after race 1, race 4 began at a revised start time of 2.08pm.
 
Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Stewards considered an objection lodged by R. Maloney, rider of second placegetter ASHGROVE, against first past the post MILITARY GAMBLER (K. Wilson-Taylor) alleging interference over the final 100m. After taking evidence from riders, respective trainers whom were acting in the interests of their owners and after viewing the patrol footage. Whilst ASHGROVE laid in under pressure and did brush approaching the finishing line, Stewards when considering the half head margin, alleged interference suffered and proximity to the finishing line, were not satisfied to the requisite standard and dismissed the objection, declaring correct weight on the Judges placings.   
 
 
ASHGROVE – Laid in under pressure in the straight. Jockey R. Maloney was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on six occasions prior to the 100m, being one more than permitted.
 
GREEN FLASH – Jumped away awkwardly. Became awkward in its action approaching the 150m and was restrained out of the event. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have sustained a fracture to its near hindleg, and the gelding was euthanased on humane grounds. Post-mortem swab samples were taken from the gelding.  
 
HEAD OF STATE – Jumped away awkwardly. Over raced during the early and middle stages.
 
OSTERMEIER – Slow to begin.
 
STEINBRENNER (NZ) – Over raced during the middle stages and passing the 1200m had to be restrained off the heels of AQUA ALTA.
 
MILITARY GAMBLER – Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages. Apprentice K. Wilson-Taylor was reprimanded under AR132(5) for using his whip in an excessive manner, that being sixteen times in totality, being one more than permitted.
 
AQUA ALTA – Passing winning post on the first occasion raced in restricted room for a number of strides to the inside of AMERICAN SAINT.
 
KIPLING'S JOURNEY – Raced wide during the middle stages. 
 
OAKFIELD WARPAINT – Slow to begin.
 
THATFRIDAYFEELING (NZ) – Slow to begin.
 
HOLSTEIN – Jockey B. Loy was reminded of his obligations to ride his mounts out fully to the line.
 
 
Race 5: 35 EUREKA STAKES GRADUATES IN 5 YEARS Class 3 Plate 1200 metres
 
Following the delay after race 1, race 5 began at the revised start time of 2.36pm. Following the protest hearing in race 4, this race jumped approximately 4 minutes late.
 
KING KAPA – Began awkwardly. Laid out rounding the home turn.

NO GOING BACK – Raced wide. Jockey A. Mallyon reported that his mount failed to stretch out. A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.
 
SILVER GALAXY – Slow to begin. Over raced during the middle stages. On approaching the 800m shifted out slightly, hampering DEEP ROMANCE. Held up for clear running on entering the home straight until approaching the 200m.
 
DELYTH – Approaching the 700m became awkwardly placed on the heels of TORUN and was obliged to steady. Raced in restricted room for a number of strides thereafter.
 
DEEP ROMANCE – Jumped away awkwardly. Over raced during the middle stages and approaching the 800m became awkwardly placed on the heels of SILVER GALAXY.
 
GLITTER STRIP – Approaching the 800m, raced in restricted room to the inside of DELYTH.
 
PUTONTHEREDLIGHT – Raced wide throughout.
 
TORUN – Jumped away awkwardly and made contact with the inside barrier partition.
 
Race 6: GIRLS DAY OUT 4 MARCH BENCHMARK 90 Handicap 1615 metres
 
WAIRERE FALLS (NZ) – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
INDISPENSABLE – Over raced during the early stages. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
MUBARIZ (GB) – Jockey J. Byrne commented that the gelding failed to let down on today’s firm surface. Post race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
INDIAN DREAMER – Raced wide during the early and middle stages and then allowed to stride forward to take up a position outside the leader passing the 800m.
 
LOVELY ESTEEM (GB) – Connections advised that they will attempt to settle further forward if circumstances permit. Ridden accordingly.
 
 
Race 7: XXXX DRY BENCHMARK 72 Handicap 1350 metres
 
Following the running of race 6, the track was upgraded to a Good (3) retrospectively.  
 
MAGNUS BELLAGIO – Raced wide throughout. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be exhibiting atrial fibrillation. Trainer G. Thornton was advised that MAGNUS BELLAGIO will be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of Stewards, as well as obtain a veterinary clearance (including the results of an ECG) prior to racing again.
 
AYAHUASCA – Bumped with BOLD AND LUCY on jumping. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be exhibiting clinical signs of the thumps.
 
BOLD AND LUCY – Bumped with AYAHUASCA on jumping.
 
DARK HORSE – Began awkwardly and was slow into stride. Difficulty obtaining clear running passing the 300m
 
BAHAMUT – Jumped awkwardly. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
VACCINE – Became awkwardly placed inside heels of TIM’S PRINCIPAL passing the 1100m. Laid out over the concluding stages.
 
SHEPPEY – Raced in restricted room passing the 100m.
 
PIZZO – Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 8: LADBROKE IT! Class 6 Plate 1350 metres
 
HILO – Jumped away awkwardly.  
 
OCEAN TREATY (NZ) – Slow to begin.
 
ALBURQ – Jumped away awkwardly. Over raced in the early stages.
 
FIELD REGIMENT – Passing the 150m laid in marginally resulting in the geldings’ hindquarters being turned resulting in the gelding becoming awkward in its action and shortly thereafter shifted in and away from ROGUE ROCKER which improved quickly to that geldings’ outside.
 
ROGUE ROCKER – Restrained from a wide barrier to take up a position closer to the rail. Raced in restricted room approaching the winning post to the inside of ROCK AMORE which laid in under pressure, and had to be restrained off heels passing the winning post. Rider R. Maloney was reminded of his obligations when shifting ground in future.
 
THE CULLINAN – Passing the 150m, when attempting a narrow run to the inside of FIELD REGIMENT, brushed with the hindquarters of FIELD REGIMENT resulting in FIELD REGIMENT being turned in and making heavy contact with the gelding resulting in THE CULLINAN becoming extremely unbalanced and contacting the running rail losing considerable ground.
 
CHATTY LADY – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. Passing the 800m had its hindquarters contacted and became awkward in its stride. Passing the 500m had its hindquarters contacted and became awkward in its stride. Jockey J. Stanley commented that the mare laid in and in his opinion may benefit from being ridden more conservatively in future.
 
Race 9: GALLOPERS SPORTS CLUB BENCHMARK 85 Handicap 1110 metres
 
THE BIG GOODBYE – Raced three wide throughout. 
 
PIZONIE – Raced in restricted room on entering the home straight, and passing the 200m was obliged to steady to avoid the heels of MISS BARTY, which shifted in and away from THE BIG GOODBYE. Apprentice M. Castle was advised to stop and straighten her mounts when shifting ground in future.
 
DRAGON MISS – Began awkwardly and shifted out.
 
ORBISYN – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
ACROBATIC – Began awkwardly and shifted out contacting BARISTASISTA.
 
MAGIC CHARLEE – Approaching the 100m, had to be steadied when attempting to improve into a run to the outside of THE BIG GOODBYE.
 
GLORIOUS RUBY – Raced wide throughout.
 
LUSKIN HERO – Raced wide throughout.
 
BARISTASISTA – Bumped on jumping by ACROBATIC.
