PLUNDERING – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant abnormalities, and a swab sample was taken.

NOAH 'N' A DEEL – Jockey L. Tarrant lodged a minor protest 6th vs 5th alleging interference in the early stages of the race. Evidence taken from both riders and representative from the A. Neasham stable, Mr T. Pollard, Stewards were of the view that there was inconvenience when PLUNDERING (B. Loy) shifted in near the 1150m. Stewards were satisfied that there was inconvenience to NOAH ‘N’ A DEEL (L. Tarrant) as PLUNDERING shifted from a three wide position to one off the fence. Bearing in mind where the interference took place and the manner in which both horses finished the race off in the straight, they could not be comfortably satisfied that the interference warranted upholding the objection and declared correct weight on the judges’ semaphored numbers of 5,2,4,10,1,6. Subsequently, jockey B. Loy was reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised to take more care in future. Following this race, jockey B. Loy was examined by the club doctor and ruled out for his remaining engagements.
