Race 1: TIC NATIONAL PONY RACING SERIES LAUNCH BENCHMARK 78 Handicap 1000 metres
 
HARD LANDING – Raced wide throughout.
 
YOU'LL BE MIST – Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
LE MELODY – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin.

VODKA MARTINI – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
Race 2: CHANNEL 7 Class 3 Plate 1400 metre
 
BETTCHA THE CROWN – Began awkwardly. Over raced early and middle stages.
 
BULL DIMPLE RUM – Over raced early and middle stages.
 
SATAY CHICKEN NZ – Inside the final 100m, was momentarily inconvenienced by BEDFORD SQUARE NZ which shifted out under riding.
 
LATELY NZ – Slow to begin.
 
VIMINELE – Jockey M. Murphy was reprimanded pursuant to AR 132(5) for using his whip on 15 occasions in total.
 
BEDFORD SQUARE NZ – Very slow to begin. Laid in during the early stages of the home straight.
 
LUCKY DECISION – Difficulty obtaining clear running passing the 300m.
 
Race 3:AITC EQUINE ACADEMY'S CHAMPION'S CHOICE Class 6 Handicap 1500 metres
This start of this race was delayed approximately 4 minutes after MATOWATAKPE required farrier attention.
 
HOT SPRING GOLD – Slow into stride. Held up for clear running on entering the home straight and until approaching the 200m shifted wider to improve.
 
MATOWATAKPE – Had to be re-shod prior to the running of this race and underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Very slow to begin. Laid in under pressure in the straight. Passing the 250m was hampered and had to be steadied to avoid the heels of HOT SPRING GOLD which shifted out to improve. Jockey M. Harley, rider of HOT SPRING GOLD was reprimanded for careless riding pursuant to AR 131(a) for this incident.
 
HOKAHEY – Over raced in the middle stages.
 
GRECIAN LASS – Raced wide throughout.
 
GAIUS – Held up for clear running on entering the home straight until approaching the 300m raced in restricted room for several strides when improving into a narrow run between BE WATER MY FRIEND and ASHGROVE.
 
Race 4: STABLE CLUB BENCHMARK 78 Handicap 2206 metres
 
SKY OUT IRE – Raced wide in the early stages until the 1400m was able to settle into a position outside the leader. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have poor post-race recovery.
 
OZ LEGEND IRE – Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
MISHANI SPARTAN – Hampered shortly after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. On return to scale B. Thornton could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance but was of the opinion the gelding had come to the end of its preparation. Trainer L. Ross reported the gelding will be sent for an immediate spell.
 
ROLLER COASTER NZ – Held up for clear running on entering the home straight. Passing the 400m was disappointed while attempting to improve into a run where there was insufficient room between CHAYSE ‘N’ ARTIE and PHILIPSBURG NZ and as a result was obliged to shift in to improve into clear running.
 
MARIINSKY – Stood flat footed and lost significant ground. Jockey J. Bayliss dropped his whip passing the 400m. Trainer C. Zintilis was advised the gelding would require a barrier certificate prior to racing again.
 
Race 5: U&U RECRUITMENT PARTNERS BENCHMARK 90 Handicap 1835 metres
 
HASABRO NZ – Began awkwardly.
 
FAST TALKING – Held up rounding the home turn.
 
WAIRERE FALLS NZ – Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.
 
NIKAU SPUR NZ – Slow to begin.
 
TONY BE –Trainer C. Waller advised the gelding will hold a more forward position if circumstances permit. Ridden accordingly. Slow to begin.
 
Race 6: GIDDY UP CLUB Class 6 Handicap 1200 metres
 
SAFEWORK – Laid in during the home straight.
 
NED'S GULLY – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after the gelding escaped in the float park on arrival to the course, NED’S GULLY was subsequently cleared to start.
 
FASTLING – Slow to begin.
 
JEMELDI – Fractious in the barriers as the start was affected, dropped its head and as a result jumped away extremely awkwardly and lost ground. Over raced in the middle stages, passing the 600m attempted to shift out to improve and was disappointed.
 
ZINGALONG – Raced wide throughout.
 
CRAZY TRAIN – Raced wide throughout. When questioned regarding the performance today, Jockey D. Thornton stated though he was not disappointed with the effort of the mare, and he was disadvantage from drawing a wide barrier and was unable to make ground up later in the race. Trainer M. Dunn reported that it was his intention to continue with the racing preparation.
 
TELEPHONE BOOTH – Over raced in the early and middle stages.
 
SEA RIPPLE – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
Race 7: ENCRYPTION CHAMPION QLD 1ST SEASON SIRE OPEN Handicap 1000 metres
 
THE BOPPER – When questioned regarding the performance of THE BOPPER, Jockey A. Mallyon stated  he was instructed to ride neutral as THE BOPPER had tendency to over race when ridden hard in the early stages, he added that on straightening he was in an awkward position at the heels of MASS DESTRUCTION which commenced to dictate him outwards passing the 400m and as a result, was unable to improve his position until inside the home straight. He added that in his opinion THE BOPPER wasn’t suited to the slow early tempo but being first up today would derive benefit from today’s race.
 
KING KLAUS – Laid out under pressure in the straight.
 
WISDOM OF WATER – Began awkwardly.
 
MASS DESTRUCTION – Began awkwardly. Momentarily held up entering the home straight.
 
SUPERARE – Hampered shortly after jumping away and had to be restrained from KING KLAUS which shifted in on jumping.
 
Race 8: SKY RACING QTIS Three-Year-Old Handicap 1000 metres
 
TOP FUN – Restrained off the heels of SHOT OF WHISKEY approaching the 700m. Jockey J. Molloy was fined $300 pursuant to AR 132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip 8 times prior to the 100m.
 
SHOT OF WHISKEY (NZ) – Had to alter course approaching the 200m when momentarily held up for clear running. Raced in restricted room over the concluding stages.
 
SONNY DAZE – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.
 
THE PLAYER – Restrained from a wide barrier to take up a position closer to the rail. Held up for clear running entering the home straight and until inside the 100m. Raced in restricted room over the concluding stages.
 
MINTO'S D'ORO – Laid in under pressure in the concluding stages.
 
TIGER SHARK – Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 9: LADBROKES HUB BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1600 metres
 
BEAUFORT PARK – Began awkwardly. Held up for clear running on entering home straight. Laid in under pressure in the straight and became awkwardly placed on the heels of SHEZA FIRECRACKER passing the 200m. Became awkwardly placed on the heels of ENUFF HE SAID over the concluding stages.
 
BENTLEY MAGIC – Jockey M. Harley reported at scale he had concerns with the action of the gelding and elected not to pressure BENTLEY MAGIC over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Co trainer C. Geran advised it is his intention to continue with its preparation but would report back on how the gelding recovered in the days subsequent.
 
ENUFF HE SAID – Approaching the 100m, laid in under pressure contacting SHEZA FIRECRACKER resulting in ENUFF HE SAID having its hind quarters contacted and was momentarily inconvenienced.
 
ROSOVO – Held up for clear running on entering home straight and was obliged to shift wider on the track to improve and was able to obtain clear running approaching the 200m.
 
TWO SMOKIN BARRELS – Began awkwardly.
 
SHEZA FIRECRACKER – Held up for clear running on entering home straight until approaching the 200m. Approaching the 100m was hampered and raced in restricted room for several strides between SOCRATES NZ and ENUFF HE SAID which shifted in. Jockey J. Bayliss was advised to exercise greater care when allowing his mount to shift ground.
 
SOCRATES NZ – Approaching the 100m was momentarily inconvenienced when contacted by SHEZA FIRECRACKER who was carried in by ENUFF HE SAID.
 
ESKY NZ – Trainer C. Waller advised a change of tactics that the gelding will attempt to hold a mid-field position. Jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin and settled further back as a result. Held up for clear running on entering home straight.
 
DESERT MIST – Over raced early and middle stages.
