RACE 5: EIDSVOLD CUP OPEN HDCP 1350 Metres
ACHIEVEMENTS – Stewards questioned App I Rabjones regarding the amount of pressure she applied when racing outside the leader from the 700 metres. I Rabjones stated she had been instructed by the trainer that the gelding can be one paced and that runs its best races when allowed to stride forward and maintain momentum. She added ACHIEVEMENTS had settled well outside the leader and was travelling well within itself leaving the 700 metres, and therefore allowed the gelding to stride forward from that point. After viewing the race replay, and the manner in which ACHIEVEMENTS finished the race off, stewards accepted the explanation of App Rabjones. Forced wider on the track rounding the home-turn.
DIRECT DEBIT – commenced to hang out rounding the home turn allowing another runner to improve to the inside.
