Race 1: CQ Saddlery BM 65 Handicap- 1000 metres
MIDNIGHT STALKER- Declared a late scratching at 10.40am when it was reported that the gelding had a virus. A veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to its next race start.
VIA CON DIOS- Jumped awkwardly.
UNSEEN- Slightly slow to begin and hampered when another runner jumped awkwardly.
BOYS SPLURGE- Slow into stride.
TIMMY’S TURN- Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race. App I Rabjones was found guilty to a charge of careless riding in that near the 800 metres she used insufficient effort to prevent her mount from shifting inwards and cause HIGH CHANCELLOR to be tightened, clip heels and blundered. App Rabjones’ licence to ride in races was suspended from m/n 22 August 2015 up to and including 5th September 2015 (2 non- TAB meetings).
Jockey D. Evans was admonished for his quality of evidence provided at this inquiry.
Race 2: Can Do Pest Control Class B Handicap- 1100 metres
VICIOUS CHICK- Explanation for late declaration of rider was accepted.
NO IFS OR BUTS- Slow to begin.
WE FOUND IT- Raced wide without cover in the early stages
MANDALONG PASS- Stewards approved the replacement of T.O’Hara with App L Dodds on Friday due to Jockey O’Hara being dually engaged. Trainer J Manzelmann’s explanation in regard to this matter was accepted. Raced wide without cover.
LUNAR COMMAND- Raced wide until near the 400 metres. A post-race veterinary inspection did not reveal any abnormality.
HOT PLATE- Slow to begin.
Race 3: Lachlan Millar Maiden Plate- 1200 metres
ARMANI PRINCE- Slow to begin.
AMAZZLER- Slow into stride.
HAYYLER’S AFFAIR- Slow into stride. Rider accidently dropped whip inside the 100 metres.
TICATIME- Slow into stride.
Race 4: Ken O’Dowd BM 60 Handicap- 1300 metres
NOT SO SOBER- Began awkwardly and lost some ground.
SPIRIT OF MANY- Raced 3 wide from the 800 metres.
SUPPOSING- Slow to begin.
HAYYLER’S DRAGON- Raced keenly for a short distance near the 900 metres. Checked when tightened and tiring near the 100 metres. App N Vuille was reprimanded for shifting in when insufficiently clear.
Race 5: Highlands Meats Open Handicap- 1300 metres
MIN MIN MAN- Began awkwardly.
POWER TO EXCEED- Raced 3 wide without cover majority of the race.
