Race 1: Ensham Resources QTIS 3YO Handicap - 1000 metres

HOWZAT FOR LUCK - Was difficult to load into the barriers.

Trainer T. Austin's representative was advised that the horse will have to be competitive in a jump-out before the stewards prior to being permitted to race again.

ME MYSELF AND I - When questioned regarding the performance, Jockey A. Butler explained that his mount was coming back in distance today and failed to muster early speed and was hampered by the heavy impost of 61kg. He said that on the home turn the horse shifted out to improve, however in his opinion the gelding dipped twice in the straight and failed to finish off the race. A post-race veterinary examination of ME MYSELF AND I revealed that the gelding was lame in the off foreleg and was treated. Trainer R Simpson reported that on returning to the stable the gelding's off foreleg had remained swollen and it had been treated. He undertook to have further examination conducted in the coming days and to report the results to the stewards. A veterinary certificate of fitness will be required prior its next race start.

Having taken into account all the statements and viewing the video film, acting under A.R.134A stewards declared the horse to be a runner. Trainer R. Meek was advised that a further barrier certificate will be required prior to the horse's next race start.

CAUGHT SWITCHING - Approaching the 600 metres shifted in abruptly, causing STYLISH SON to be tightened for room , make contact with the inside running rail and lose ground.
