Following her being dislodged, Apprentice N Vuille was unable to pass a cognitive test on Friday to allow her to fulfil her engagements, she was replaced as per the Steward’s Summary.
 
Race 1:  P & J Young Concrete & Construction BM 60 Handicap- 1000 metres
 
BULLETIN BELLE- Apprentice N Morton was permitted to claim 1kg of her allowance. She was fined $100 (AR 92(12)).
 
SUNFAST- Slow to begin. Eased in the straight when another runner shifted ground.
 
I’M CHILLIN’- Shifted ground in the straight and caused another runner to be eased.
 
ENEMY OF MAN- Stewards questioned Jockey B Bell regarding the horse losing ground in the early stages. He stated the gelding had begun well however shortly after the start was reluctant to race inside other horse. Jockey Bell stated he anticipated taking up a position more forward than he was. Approaching the winning post, eased from the heels of another runner.
 
Race 2:  Hot FM Maiden Plate- 1100 metres
 
Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Stewards viewed the photo finish to ascertain placings were correct. After being satisfied as the judge’s placings, correct weight was declared.
 
AGNUS MAGNUS- When unable to be loaded, declared a late scratching at 1.56pm.
Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered that all bets on the horse be refunded and the following deductions be applied to winning bets;
 
LOCA DA VIDA- 3c Win, 10c Place
RENEGADE RUBY- 11c place
DEBBIE’S DREAM- 13c place
 
Trainer W Meek advised that the mare would now be retired. Nevertheless, a barrier certificate would be required if it returned to racing.
 
CATCH ME NOT- Jumped awkwardly in onto MITCHY’S INSTINCT.
 
Race 3: Jackson Painting BM 50 Handicap- 1200 metres

MISS ANNA- Jumped out and caused another runner to be tightened.
 
PURPLE EMPEROR- Tightened at the start and lost some ground.
 
BARBOUGE- Lay out in the middle stages.
 
JEDDA’S GIRL- Raced 4 wide without cover throughout.
 
SPIRIT OF MANY- Slow to begin.
 
BUDDY ROCKS- 3 wide without cover throughout. Rider fined $100 for use of her whip 3 more occasions that permissible. In assessing penalty, Stewards were mindful of her good record.
 
COURTMAN- Held up in the early stages of the straight.
 
Race 4: Meteor Motel BM 50 Handicap- 1200 metres  
 
CLASPED- Slow to begin. Further inconvenienced when another runner shifted out on jumping.
 
ARTANIS- Near the 1000 metres, raced ungenerously for a short distance, shifted in and made contact with the running rail and lost ground.
 
CAUGHT SWITCHING- Raced wide without cover throughout. Trainer advised the mare would now be retired.
 
BILLY JAY- Raced wide with cover throughout.
 
Race 5: Swarmfarm Robotics BM 65 Handicap- 1300 metres
 
AMERICAN HUSSLER- Jumped in onto other runners at the start.
 
LEO’S SPIRIT- Taken in at the start. Rider fined $300 for use of his whip on 10 occasions prior to the 100m and used on occasions consecutively. In determining penalty, Stewards took in account his previous good record.
 
GARDER LA FOI- Slow to begin, further hampered when another runner taken in, raced at rear of the field.
 
JAVELENTIA- Tightened between runners at the start.
TESTASCANA- Tightened between runners at the start. Raced wide throughout.
GOWER- Raced wide throughout.
PYGMY HUNTER- Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
 
Race 6: Discovery Parks Class B Handicap- 1615 metres.  
 
ARMANI PRINCE- Slow to begin.
