Race 1: Regal Fencing QTIS Maiden Plate – 1000m
 
CIDER APPLE – Slow to begin.
 
MACKENZIE COUNTRY – As the start was effected lost the use of his iron but was able to regather shortly after jumping away. Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
KILKENNY LAD – Underwent a pre race veterinary examination after contacting the running rail en route to the barriers and was passed fit to start. Rider reported that after becoming awkwardly placed on heels in the vicinity of the 400m and was obliged to steady, his mount failed to respond to his riding and ran to the line in a disappointing manner. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
POINT THE WAGON – Approaching the 400m became awkwardly placed on the heels of MACKENZIE COUNTRY which was weakening and was obliged to shift wider to improve into clear running. Was momentarily inconvenienced on entering the home straight when becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of MONSIEUR JACK.
 
RECONCILED – Raced wide throughout. Rider reported that she could offer no explanation for the poor performance of the mare. A post race veterinary examination revealed cardiac arrythmia. Trainer M Johnstone was advised that he must furnish the results of a veterinary clearance including the results of a ECG prior to satisfactorily completing a official barrier trial.
 
KELSEY LAKE - Slow to begin. Laid out under pressure in the straight.  
 
MAMA SAYS – Raced greenly when placed under pressure in the straight.
 
 
Race 2: Emerald Jockey Club Benchmark 50 H’cap – 1000m
 
SILENTUS – Hampered on jumping away.
 
WHISKEY APPLE – Hampered on jumping away. Raced in restricted room for a number of strides neaar the 900m.
 
ALGEROBA – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
FALVERA – Jumped away awkwardly and as a result was slow into stride.
 
THE ABYSS (NZ) – Overraced in the early stages. Passing the 500m became awkwardly placed on the heels of the weakening FLYING DUBAI. Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
ROCKETHEAD – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
SIXES – Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
TOP EVIE – Raced wide throughout.
 
FLYING DUBAI – Hampered on jumping away.
 
 
Race 3: Woods Tyre Service Benchmark 50 H’cap – 1000m
 
HARD ENOUGH – Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure in home straight. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
REAL DEAL MCNEILL – Slow to begin.
 
DREAM PIECE – Passing the 800m became awkward in its stride whilst racing in restricted room to the inside of BAUHINIA DRUM and as a result shifted out contacted the hindquarters of BAUHINIA DRUM.
 
NOT TONIGHT DEAR – Jumped away awkwardly and as a result rider lost the use of her near side iron placing her at a disadvantage for the remainder of the event. Was dislodged on pulling up and was examined by ambulance officers and was passed fit to fulfill her remainding engagements.
 
BAUHINIA DRUM – In the vacinity of the 800m was contacted by DREAM PIECE, who became awkward in its stride, and as a result had its hindquarters turned an dipped.
 
CASSAVANCE – Raced wide throughout.
 
HEATHER JOAN – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 4: Emerald Jockey Club Benchmark 55 H’cap – 1300m
 
STAR ADELE – Hampered shortly after jumping away.
 
CELOSIA – When questioned regarding the performance, Jockey stated that his mount was under pressure throughout and failed to respond to his riding at any stage. Trainer C. Russell was advised that CELOSIA would be required to trial competitively prior to a future race start.
 
ROSEEXCEL – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
MISS DEFIANCE – Slow to begin.
 
FLINDERS DEAGON – Contacted on jumping away.
 
MISS EIMAR – A post race veterinary examination revealed minor lacerations to the near hind leg.
 
IMPERIAL BELLE – Trainer advised stewards of a change of tactics to ride IMPERIAL BELLE further forward in todays event. Settled behind the leader.
 
DUAN PHOENIX – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
 
Race 5: Sponsorships Available Benchmark 55 H’cap – 1300m
 
ANARCHY (NZ) – Slow to begin.
 
TOM’S STAR – Raced wide throughout.
 
TYRANNIZE (NZ) – Slow into stride. Overraced in the middle stages. Raced wide throughout.
 
ROCK’N’ROLL BOBBY – Dipped on jumping away.
 
APPLAUSE A STAR – Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
GEISSLER – Slow to begin. Held up for clear running on entering the homestraight and was obliged to shift out to improve into clear running. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
 
Race 6: Flexihire Benchmark 65 H’cap – 1000m
 
JETS CRACKER – Hampered on jumping away. Rider reported his mount hung in throughout the event.
 
TOCCO D’OROR – When questioned regadring the performance of the gelding, Jockey G Steele stated that in her opinion TOCCO D’OROR may not have handled todays shifting track conditions. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
MIA HOST – Jumped away awkwardly. Rider reported his mount hung in throughout the event.
 
STELLAR KNIGHT – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out abruptly.
 
OPTION – Slow to begin.
 
BOINGO – Hampered shortly after jumping away.
 
ZENDAYE – Raced wide throughout the event.
 
ART OF DANCE – Hampered on jumping away. Had to be restrained shortly after jumping away to avoid the heels of KOBY’S STRATEGY which shifted out marginally and BOINGO which was carried in by MIA HOST which laid in.
 
TADWEEN – Hampered on jumping away and as a result almost dislodged its rider.
 
KOBY’S STRATEGY – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
Race 7: Two At A Thyme Catering Open H’cap – 1300m
 
FASTNET FLYER – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
MASON’S CHANCE – Raced wide throughout.
 
MUSTARRID – Jumped away awkwardly. Laid in throughout the event.
 
MADAM SHAZAM – Slow to begin. Rider reported that her mount resented the kickback and failed to travel at any stage. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
SAN VINCENZO – A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had bled from both nostrils. As this was the first occasion, trainer R Vale was advised of the provisions of AR79(4).
 
CLASSIC WIND – Slow to begin.
 
Race 8: Thank You Racing Participants Benchmark 55 H’Cap – 1615m
 
ADDICTED – Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
ELRAZZY – A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
BARBERANCE – Overraced in the early and middle stages.
 
FLAT TO STACK -  Overraced in the middle stages. Became awkwardly placed on heels passing the 400m and had to be restrained. Was held up for clear running on entering the home straight till inside the 100m.
 
JUSTALAD – In the vicinity of the 1200m became awkwardly placed on heels and had to be restrained. On entering the home straight was disappointed for a run between DRAGON IN THE NORTH and SWINGAHINCH which rolled out marginally.
 
LEFKAS ISLAND – Raced wide throughout.
 
DRAGON IN THE NORTH – Race wide in the early and middle stages and improved forward to race outside the lead near the 1000m. On entering the home straight was disappointed for a run between ADDICTED which laid in under pressure and JUSTALAD who was carried out marginally by SWIGAHINCH.
 
PAPERTALK – Raced wide throughout.
 
CRAIGLEA SIMMO – Slow to begin. Raced in restricted room on entering the home straight and was unable to be fully tested till inside the 100m.
