Race 1: CQ PUMP & IRRIGATION QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1200 metres
 
The start was delayed slightly due to Kembla Grange race 4 running behind schedule.
 
SUB ROSA – Fractious prior to the start.
 
ANGEL ABOVE – Slow into stride.
 
HELLFIRE BILLY – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
 
 
Race 2: ULTIMATE BEAUTY CARTEL Maiden Plate 1000 metres
 
 
MUNGO MAN – Raced wide throughout.
 
JUKEBOX DANCER –. Raced wide throughout.
 
BAGGER PUMPKINS – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin as a result.
 
IMAGINE THAT – Inclined to hang out near the 400m and was switched wider to improve. Hung in under pressure the home straight.
 
 
Race 3: ALL BRANDS TOYS OPEN Handicap 1280 metres
 
 
THE SNOOPERSTAR – Slow to begin.
 
DEMURRAL – Slow into stride.
 
 
Race 4: SOUTHERN CROSS TERMITE & PEST CONTROL BENCHMARK

The start of the race was briefly delayed due to a malfunction with the photo finish equipment prior to loading.
 
OUR IRISH EMPEROR – Hung out rounding the home turn. Shifted in near the 200m, briefly tightening PHEONIX FLYER. Apprentice Nicole Seymour was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances.
 
YUBETIDO – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
DELIUS – Raced wide throughout.
 
PHOENIX FLYER – Held up briefly leaving 200m when improving into a tight run to the inside of OUR IRISH EMPEROR.
 
STAR OF LEON – Slow to begin.
 
READY MISTER MUSIC – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
 
 
Race 5:EVOKE MAINTENANCE SERVICES BENCHMARK 60 Handicap
1000 metres
 
AT THE HELM – Raced wide throughout.
 
DENIMS – Jockey Ashley Butler advised that his mount travelled well until being placed under pressure leaving the 600m, and the gelding failed to respond to his riding. Trainer John Wigginton could offer no explanation for the poor performance. A post-race veterinary examination of DENIMS failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.
 
LILY ALLEZ (NZ) – Raced wide throughout.
 
STAYS ON TOUR – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin as a result. Trailed the field throughout. Jockey Emma Bell advised that her mount failed to travel at any stage and felt awkward in its action. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities. A warning was placed on the racing performance of STAYS ON TOUR.
 
AS GOOD AS READY – Slow to begin.
 
QUEEN DEE – Fractious prior to the start.
 
SOGNI – Raced wide throughout. Trainer D Amos advised that he attributed the seemingly improved performance of the mare to having only its second start for the stable and was beaten narrowly first up in what he considered to be tougher company.
 
 
Race 6:PRIME PLUMBING BENCHMARK 45 Handicap 1200 metres
The start was delayed slightly due to Sha Tin race 5 running behind schedule.
 
STILL FEELING IT – Reluctant to load.
 
BOSTON BELLE – Raced wide throughout.
 
SIR PAISLEY – Shifted inwards abruptly at the start. Trailed the field throughout. Apprentice Nicole Seymour advised that the saddle slipped during the run. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.
 
AUVERGNE – Raced wide throughout.
 
HYPERION STAR (NZ) – Jumped in the air at the start, losing ground.
