Race 1: QTIS Maiden Plate 800 metres:
1st – ZOE BAY 2nd – SECOND TIME AROUND 3rd – RAINING DOLLARS 4th – MARINE ON PARADE

WIDGEE LAD - Was slowly away. Raced wide in the early stages.

ROCKET LINER – Began awkwardly. Raced wide in the early stages.

ZOE BAY – Jumped outwards at the start bumping with another runner.

MITCHY’S INSTINCT – Was bumped by another runner on jumping. Was severely hampered at the home turn by another runner which was inclined to hang in.

RAINING DOLLARS – Jockey J Long reported that the gelding was inclined to hang in throughout severely hampering another runner at the home turn. Trainer Ms. J Hassett was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing manners which would be monitored at future starts.

Race 2: W. Titley & Co / Allingham Family Class 1 Handicap 800 metres:
1st – RAVELLING 2nd – BROWN PAPER BEAR 3rd – FAST ANNIE 4th – BACKTOSPEC

OUR TOM CAT – Underwent a Veterinary inspection behind the barriers and was passed fit to start. Was fractious in the barriers. Began awkwardly losing ground at the start.

HUSSENRUN – Was fractious in the barriers.

FAST ANNIE – Was fractious in the barriers. Began awkwardly.

PEEL ’EM FIRST – Jumped outwards at the start. Was inclined to race ungenerously in the early stages.

Race 3: Schmidts Livestock Transport Ewan Ladies Bracelet Class 3
Handicap 1000 metres:
1st – CHOI OI 2nd – ISADOR AMORE 3rd – SANDBAR JACK 4th – PERFECT RAINBOW

ASTRONAUT – Was slowly away.

NAIL ‘EM – Was slowly into stride.

SANDBAR JACK – Was caught wide in the early and middle stages.

Race 4: Townsville Apex Benchmark 74 Handicap 1000 metres:
1st – FIVE O’CLOCK 2nd – SNITZEM 3rd – SCOT FREE 4th – ALPINE GOLD

SNITZEM – When questioned by Stewards App. T Quinn stated that the horse was inclined to race ungenerously passing the 800 metres after being crossed by another runner and was unable to quicken under its big weight when the leaders applied pressure near the 500 metres. App. Quinn further advised that his instructions were to lead if possible but more importantly to keep the horse comfortable under the big weight in running.

Race 5: Sir Rupert Clarke Memorial Cattlemen’s Benchmark 65 Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – ORATRY 2nd – AROSON 3rd – MR RAIMAKER 4th – ZATSACAT

Prior to the commencement of the meeting Trainer Mr. F Wieland advised Stewards that ARONSON had become fractious in transit. The gelding underwent a precautionary Veterinary examination and was passed fit to start.

MAKOSSA – Was slowly away.

ORATRY – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
