Race 1: Fillies and Mares Classd 1 H'cap – 860m  
 
CHOPHOUSE TEARS – Declared a late scratching at 10.52 am due to transport difficulties.
 
VOL VOLLEE – Declared a late scratching at 10.52 am due to transport difficulties.
 
BAIO - Declared a late scratching at 10.52 am due to transport difficulties.
 
The start of this race was delayed when barrier 10 opened prematurely during the loading process and consequently could not be properly closed. As a result, DUBLE MEANING, CLARAGH and POETIC DRAGON  were moved out one barrier.
 
IRONBORN – Hampered at the start.  Held up approaching the 300m.
 
MIM’S POET – Hampered at the start.
 
POETIC DRAGON – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
CLARAGH – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the race.
Race 2: Maiden Plate (Set Weights) – 1400m 
 
QUEEN CONSORT – Began awkwardly and shifted out abruptly.
 
LITTLE MISTER – Hampered at the start.  Passing the 1100m commenced to overrace, and when being restrained  shifted out, forcing YALLAROI wider. Raced wide from the 800m. Had to be steadied from the heels of BALLINA BAY, which shifted in near the 600m.
 
YALLAROI – Forced wider near the 1100m.
 
WICKED WIKI – Began awkwardly and then lost ground when tightened for room.
 
ISLAND SUNSET – Slow to begin.  Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
DRESS SENSE -  Had to be steadied near the 1200m after improving on to the heels of BIANCATAK.  A short distance later had to be restrained when racing keenly.  Held up for a short distance approaching the 400m.
 
STRATTON OAKMONT – Bumped shortly after the start.  Lost ground near the 1100m when tightened for room between LITTLE MISTER and YALLAROI, both of which shifted ground. Passing the 1100m, when racing ungenerously, shifted out abruptly.
 
BALLINA BAY – Raced 3 wide without cover in the early stages.
 
SUPREME PROSPECT – Lost its near hind plate in running.
 
 
Race 3:  QTIS 2yo Maiden H'cap - 1400m 
 
TEMPESTA ROSSA – Hampered at the start.  Raced 3 wide without cover from the 800m.
 
DROVER’S YARN – Had to be steadied and lost ground when tightened for room at the start.
 
REAL LUCKY – Slow to begin.
 
THEOUTLAWSDAUGHTER – Near the 1200m, when racing in restricted room to the inside of TEMPESTA ROSSA, then made contact with CRAFTY BLONDE.  As a result, THEOUTLAWSDAUGHTER had to be checked from the heels of CRAFTY BLONDE.
 
PRINCESS CAVALLO -  Raced in restricted room near the 1200m.
 
CRAFTY BLONDE – Hung out rounding the turn near the 1100m.
 
GALTERO – Approach the 1100m when being restrained to obtain cover, had to shift out to avoid the heels of PRINCESS CAVALLO, which was hanging out. Raced wide from the 800m until entering the home straight.  When questioned regarding the performance, apprentice A. Fancourt stated that after being caught wide in the early stages she elected to restrain her mount near the 1100m to obtain cover.  She added that near the 600m she attempted to improve into the race and was obliged to race wide, and, in her opinion, the gelding did not  appreciate racing on the tight turning circuit.  Apprentice Fancourt  added that once she was able to balance up in the home straight, the gelding found the line fairly.
 
SHE SALUTES – Near the 300m had to be steadied from the heels of PRINCESS CAVALLO, which was hanging in.  Had difficulty obtaining clear running from the 200m and then over the concluding stages had to be steadied when tightened for room between runners.

MISPRINT – Held up slightly near the 200m and was obliged to alter course to obtain clear running.
 
PRINCESS CAVALLO – Apprentice M. McGillivray reported at scale his mount was inclined to hang out throughout and then laid in under pressure in the home straight. Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 4: Vanderfield Gatton BenchMark 58 H'cap – 1100m 
 
SOLTINHO LAD – Stewards accepted the explanation for M. Schrapel being dually engaged  on this horse and BORN TO RUN EASY.  B. Ainsworth was subsequently replaced as the rider of BORN TO RUN EASY.
 
MARKED FOREVER – The start  of this race was delayed  when the horse refused to load into the barriers, and was subsequently declared a late scratching at 1.46 pm. Subsequent to the event all monies invested  on the horse were ordered to be refunded, with the following deductions applicable:
 
1 cent in the dollar on the face value of win bets
1 cent in the dollar of the face value of place bets for the win
2 cents in the dollar on the face value of 2nd place bets
2 cents in the dollar on the face value of 3rd place bets
 
Trainer B. Robinson was advised that he would be required to provide a further barrier certificate prior to its next race start.
 
NAME AND SHAME – Jockey P. Romeo reported at scale his mount felt awkward in its action.  A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
 
FREEROCKER – Slow to begin.
 
ALLENA – Shifted in at the start and made contact with BIZARRE ROCK. Raced wide for the entire race.
 
BIZARRE ROCK – Bumped at the start.
 
REMLAPS JOY – Bumped shortly after the start.
 
I AM MCLOVIN – Bumped shortly after the start. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
 
Race 5: Gatton View Hotel BenchMark 58 H'cap – 1100m 
 
 
WILL TO RULE – Near the 800m had to be eased away from the heels of STICK WITH ME, which shifted in. A short distance later near the 700m commenced to overrace and then shifted out across the heels of STICK WITH ME and had to be steadied. Held up entering the home straight, and then had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the  early stages of the home straight.
 
DRUM MASTER -  Initially slow to begin and was then buffeted between runners and lost ground.
 
MISHANI SHIRAZ – Bumped on the hind quarters shortly after the start.  Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
DAZET – Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 6:  -  Valley Residential Village 1300832095 QTIS 3yo Class 3 Plate  - 1100m 
 
SI SI SEQUALO – Shifted out at the start and bumped CAPTAIN LEO.
 
CAPTAIN LEO – Bumped at the start.  Raced wide throughout.
 
ST HILARY – Began awkwardly and bumped ONE GOLDEN DAY.
 
ONE GOLDEN DAY – Bumped at the start.
 
BEVEILE – Raced 3 wide without cover.
 
SI SI SEQUALO – Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race. 
 
MAKE NO MISTAKE – Race wide throughout.
 
REAL CUTE -  Jockey J. Morris reported at scale the filly was not suited by today’s firm track conditions.
 
 
Race 7:  LYRC Raceday Saturday, 23 September BenchMark 60 H'cap - 1400m
 
FINE EYES – Shifted out at the start and bumped DUBLEO’S LAD.
 
DUBLEO’S LAD – Bumped at the start.
 
LIMBO STAR – Slow to begin.  Near the 200m was disappointed for a run and was obliged to alter course to obtain clear running.
 
JIMIBRAMZ – Shortly after the start had to be eased when placed in restricted room between runners.
 
BOLD KINGSTON – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.  When afforded the opportunity to comment on the disappointing performance, apprentice N. Keal   explained that despite racing wide throughout he expected the gelding to finish off stronger than it did. He added that the only explanation he could put forward was that the gelding may not have appreciated backing up within a week from its last start.  A post race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery rate and showing signs of tying up.
 
MINIVER – Raced wide.
 
EFFECTIVE ASSASSIN – Raced wide throughout.
 
CALL ME RUSTY – Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 8:  Lockyer Hotel Forest Hill BenchMark 60 H'cap – 1400m 
 
FELIX – Slow to begin and lost ground.
 
HUNTER ISLAND – Slow to begin.
 
MACHU PICCHU – Slow to begin.  Improved onto heels near the 1100m and had to be restrained. Improved on to the heels of GULLY GOSH near the 500m and had to be restrained. Near the 200m was obliged to alter course to obtain clear running.
 
SPANISH FELLA – Had to be steadied near the 1100m to avoid the heels of VENECIA, which shifted in when not fully clear.  MACHU, which was following, also had to be steadied from the heels of LAREDO HUSSLER.   Apprentice N. Fazackerley, rider of VENECIA, was reprimanded or this incident.

OVERLAP – Raced 3 wide without cover from the 800m.
 
LAREDO HUSSLER -    Shifted out to improve near the 500m, forcing FASSLER wider on the track.
 
 
Race 9:  Colts Geldings and Entires Class 1 H'cap – 2000m
 
BIG THUNDER – Reared as the start was effected and lost ground.
 
MOSS GO NOW – Slow to begin.  Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the straight.
 
VEGAS RULER – Began awkwardly and bumped with  CALL THE CAPTAIN. Raced wide.
 
CALL THE CAPTAIN – Bumped at the start.  Hung out for the majority of the race.
