GENERAL
Stewards permitted the following overweight allowance.
Race 6 – R.Wiggins + 1kg.
 
Race 1: LUX SPELLING & REHABILITATION QTIS Two-Year-Old
Maiden Plate 860 metres
 
The start of this event was delayed as a result of MRS ROBINSON rearing and becoming cast in the barriers and also MISHANI FLASH becoming fractious and having to be removed from the barriers. MRS ROBINSON was subsequently declared a late scratching at 1:10PM on veterinary advice. MISHANI FLASH upon being reloaded became fractious again and was removed and underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
 
Upon the declaration of correct weight stewards ordered all bets placed on MRS ROBINSON to be refunded with the following deductions to apply to all successful bets:
1st  YELLOWSTONE BETH:  12c Win, 7c Place
2nd MISS DE BLAAS 11c
3rd   MISS CANTIK  15c
 
The trainer of MRS ROBINSON, Mr M.Nolan was advised that the filly would require a further barrier certificate prior to being permitted to race again.
 
Trainer of MISHANI FLASH, L.Ross was advised the gelding would require a barrier certificate prior to being permitted to race again.
 
Mishani Flash – Raced wide throughout.
 
Kentucky Rose – Began awkwardly, lost ground. Raced greenly in the home straight and shifted in under pressure over the final 150m. Stewards placed a warning on the filly’s racing manners.
 
Mishani Jetstream – Shifted out on jumping. Hung out entering the first turn. Raced greenly for the remainder of the event.Stewards placed a warning on the filly’s racing manners.
 
Miss Cantik – Hampered on jumping and lost ground.
 
Mos Out – Raced wide throughout. Inconvenienced and had to be taken in to avoid the heels of KENTUCKY ROSE approaching the 50m point.  Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
Yellowstone Beth – Began awkwardly.
 
Race 2: LAIDLEY HOSPITAL AUXILIARY Maiden Plate 860 metres
 
Boom The Great – Bounded as the start was effected and lost ground. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
Cruising Bill – Laid in early stages of the home straight.
 
Golden Groove – Raced wide throughout. Laid in on the home straight.
 
 
Race 3: HARMAN CONCRETING BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 2000 metres
 
Cairndow – Whilst weaking approaching the 100m point, had to be momentarily steadied when awkwardly placed at heels.
 
Aliraaj (NZ) – Jumped awkwardly. Laid out under pressure approaching the home turn. Rider N Evans was fined $300 pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of whip 8 times prior to the 100m.
 
Likeabeel – Shifted in under pressure approaching the 150m point before being corrected by its rider.
 
He's Viral (NZ) – Began awkwardly. Raced wide until approaching the 1100m point.
 
Harbelle – Contacted outside barrier petition on jumping and lost ground. Over raced in the early stages. Held up behind the tiring JOYBELLES approaching the 600m point and had to be steadied. Rider J Molloy was fined $300 pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of whip 7 times prior to the 100m.
 
Joybells – Commenced to weaken from the 600m point and was eased down by rider over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with trainer A Parks regarding the performance of the filly.
 
Found The Mark – Slow to begin.
 
 
 
 
Race 4: PORTERS PLAINLAND HOTEL LAIDLEY CUP BENCHMARK 75
Handicap 1600 metres
 
Relucent (NZ) – Over raced in the early stages.
 
Gentle Prince – Bumped and taken out on jumping.
 
Cosmic Gossip – Rider J Molloy was fined $300 pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of whip 7 times prior to the 100m.
 
Royal Performance – Hampered shortly after the start and lost ground.
 
Foxy Fraulien – Shifted out on jumping. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight. Apprentice L Barr was advised to be mindful of permitting her mounts to shift ground in future circumstances.
 
Race 5: WRT HAY & FEED SHED Maiden Handicap 1400 metres
 
Smart City – Began awkwardly. Leaving the 1200m point was inconvenienced by LOLA STAR which hung out despite the efforts of its rider.
 
Tussah – At the 900m raced in restricted room to the inside of REDVEDEV and had to be steadied.
 
Unusual Melody – Stood flat footed and lost ground.
 
Whatta Whitt – Raced wide until leaving the 900m.
 
Lola Star – Leaving the 1200m, when over racing, got its head up and shifted out despite the efforts of its rider causing inconvenience to SMART CITY.
 
Manzikert – Slow to begin and was bumped shortly after.Shifted in under pressure approaching the 100m, resulting in its rider having to stop and straighten the gelding.
 
Glengarry – Raced wide until leaving the 900m.
 
Redvedev (NZ) – Got its head up andshifted in and away from WHATTA WHITT approaching the 900m.
 
Imposing Tiger – Slow to begin and was then bumped shortly after.
 
Race 6: PUBLIC SAFETY TRAINING & RESPONSE Class 2 Handicap1400 metres
 
Speed Map – Bumped after start. Held up approaching the home turn. Bumped rounding the home turn by UNION SPIRIT.
 
 
It’s A Mistake -  Raced wide until leaving the 1000m.
Union Spirit – Held up rounding the home turn, shifted out and bumped SPEED MAP on entrance to the home straight.

Polite Applause (NZ) – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Grey Noise – Began awkwardly and bumped SPEED MAP.Raced wide throughout. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight inconveniencing other runners. Apprentice L. Barr was reprimanded pursuant to AR 131(a) for this incident.  
 
Heat – Inconvenienced approaching the 200m when forced to race in restricted room between MISHANI SCANDAL and GREY NOISE which shifted out under pressure.
 
Waikato – Began awkwardly.Raced wide for the majority.
 
Race 7: LOCKYER VALLEY WASTE MANAGEMENT Class 2 Handicap1100 metres
 
Bring Me Flowers – Shifted in on jumping and bumped LOUVRE LIL.
 
Outlaw Josey Wales – After contacting the rail on entrance to the course proper, OUTLAW JOSEY WALES underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Raced wide throughout.
 
Super Vogue – Leaving the 400m momentarily steadied on the heels of BRING ME FLOWERS which shifted out to improve.
 
Grandeur Rose – Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.
 
Better Than Roses – Slow to begin. Raced in restricted room to the inside of HOLY CHARIOT approaching the 900m and had to be momentarily steadied. Shifted in under pressure approaching the 100m and had to be corrected by its rider.
 
Louvre Lil – Slow to begin and bumped at the start.
