RACE 1: Purchase GCTC Tickets Online & Save! Colts, Geldings & Entires Maiden Plate – 1200m
 
CEDAR RAPIDS – Near the 250m had to be steadied when crowded by WALLANDER (App C. Gallagher), which shifted out. App Gallagher was issued with a severe reprimand.
 
GET STUCK IN – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
App B. Thornton (NINE CIGARS) was reminded of his obligations to ride his mounts right out to the finish.
 
RACE 2: Canadian Club Fillies & Mares Maiden Plate – 1200m
 
Trainer T. Edmonds was fined $100 for failing to produce the Thoroughbred ID Card for DORO MAGIC.
 
INDY BONBON – Slow to begin. Near the 150m jockey A. Spinks was struck on the shoulder by the whip of L. Dittman (ON SHOW).  
 
ON SHOW – Travelled three wide without cover from the 800m.
 
WESTERN ORDER – Hung in throughout.
 
RACE 3: Cascade Class 4 Handicap – 900m
 
OCEAN GRAND – Slow into stride.
VOL VALLEE – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
TABBING – Raced four wide without cover throughout.
 
FALKIRK DRIVE  - A post race veterinary examination of the gelding, which was eased down in the final stages, revealed no significant findings.
 
App C. Gallagher (CALLIGRAPHER) was severely reprimanded for failing to ride his mount out to the end of the race.
 
 
RACE 4: Mount Franklin Class 1 Handicap – 900m
 
GOOD GRACIOUS MAE – Bounded on jumping and lost ground.
 
WHAT DO YA THINK – Slow into stride.
 
GREYT LOVE – Slow into stride.
 
FAMOUS GROUSE – Steadied near the 700m.
 
TEVYE – Near the 500m had to be steadied when crowded by DELAGO THUNDER.
 
ZENKALI – In the early part of the home straight had difficulty obtaining clear running.
 
HERES TO LUXURY – Near the 200m, when weakening, had to be steadied when crowded by ROYAL EQUIANO, which hung in away from DELAGO THUNDER.
 
 
RACE 5: Jim Beam Class 3 Handicap – 1400m
 
RULERS PRIDE – Crowded on jumping. Approaching the 1000m commenced to overrace.
 
PROLIFIC BELLE – Slow into stride.
 
LORD CHAMBERLAIN – Near the 900m had to be steadied from heels.
 
MR OPURRTUNIST – Near the 400m was bumped by RULERS PRIDE, which was hanging in. 
 
 
RACE 6: Mount Franklin Lightly Sparkling QTIS 3YO Handicap – 1400m
 
MISHANI VAIDRA – Slow to begin. Near the 250m, when laying in, had to be steadied from the heels of BEACH DRUM. Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
GLOBALLY – Slow to begin.
 
DESERT RUSH – Hung in badly in the straight. Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
RACE 7: Makers Mark Ratings Band 0-65 Handicap – 1800m
 
LYRIDS - Shifted a near fore plate at the stables, had to be reshod and was passed suitable to race. Slow to begin.
 
DARESAY – Slow to begin.
 
SIDERO STAR – Slow to begin. Momentarily held up rounding the home turn.
 
MOGUL – Overraced in the early stages.
 
ROCKET ON BOARD – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
 
RACE 8: Coca-Cola Class 1 Plate – 1300m
 
LORD OF THE DREAMZ – Trainer A. Plumb advised the horse would be ridden in a forward position with cover if circumstances permitted. Raced in a handy position.
 
SNIPSTREAM – Blundered badly on jumping.
 
SOLARCRAFT – Badly hampered on jumping and lost ground. Whilst stewards were satisfied that App C. Gallaghers riding over the concluding stages had not affected the geldings finishing position he was nevertheless severely reprimanded for failing to ride his mount out to the end of the race.
 
KIJITO – Bumped on jumping.
 
COURAGE WITHIN – Slow into stride. Raced three wide without cover throughout.
