Race 1: BOOK NOW SPRING CARNIVAL Class 5 Handicap – 1400m
 
Stewards acceded to a request from trainer M. Wilson for ANOTHER VALLEY to race in blinkers, as some publications had blinkers advertised as gear.
 
SYAMANTAKA MANI – Held up slightly from the 300m to the 200m when shifting wider to obtain clear running.
 
MADAM SHAZAM – Had a tendency to lay in under pressure over the final 50m.
 
JAKUTA – Brushed slightly passing the 50m by MADAM SHAZAM, which laid in.
 
 
Race 2: $25 SUPER SATURDAYS QTIS 2YO Maiden Plate – 1200m
 
IMMERSION – Slow to begin. Passing the 900m when racing in restricted room had to be steadied, clipped the heels of SHIMIZU and blundered almost dislodging its rider. At a subsequent inquiry stewards established that after passing the 1100m when leaving the false rail SAUTE shifted inside the line of the true rail, FANTASAY which was following SAUTE also got inside the line of the true rail. IMMERSION which was racing to the outside of FANTASAY established a tight position to the outside of FANTASAY. Stewards further noted that SHIMIZU which was initially racing three wide followed SPIRITS SILK over to be following it in a one wide position. Then approaching the course proper rail SAUTE had to be restrained in an attempt to not make contact with the running rail. FANTASAY which was following SAUTE also attempted to shift out but was unable to do so when IMMERSION and SHIMIZU were both racing tight to that runners outside. Approaching the 1000m IMMERSION when racing in restricted room clipped the heels of SHIMIZU blundered almost dislodging its rider. After hearing all the evidence tendered and viewing the patrol footage stewards could not apportion blame to any one rider and therefore took no further action.
 
FANTASAY – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Passing the 900m had to be steadied away from the heels of SAUTE. Passing the 200m had to be steadied away from the heels of SHIMIZU, which shifted in abruptly.
 
NIGHT CHARMER – After beginning from a wide barrier and being caught wide in the early stages was allowed to stride forward to obtain a position outside the leader passing the 800m.
 
ACCEPTITA – Raced greenly in the early stages when being restrained.
 
SAUTE – Passing the 900m had to be restrained when tightened for room by SPIRITS SILK, which shifted in.
 
UBER MOVER – Passing the 900m when overracing had to be steadied away from the heels of MYSTIC BROOK, which shifted out.
 
SHIMIZU – Passing the 200m ducked in under hard riding.
 
GOLDIE GIRL – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
MYWIFESAIDNO – Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
Jockey L. Dittman (IMMERSION) was examined by the Club Doctor following his ride in this event for an injury to his left thumb and was cleared to fulfil his further riding engagements.
 
Race 3: FREE FAMILY FUN DAY SAT 25TH AUG QTIS 2YO Maiden Plate – 1200m
 
REAL DEAL MCNEILL - Trainer K. Schweida advised the horse would be ridden back in the field today if circumstances permit. The horse was ridden accordingly.
 
TOP EVIE – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
SING SONG – Slow to begin.
 
GREY FACTOR – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 4: MATES IN CONSTRUCTION Class 1 Plate – 900m
 
THE LAWYER – Began awkwardly.
STELLAR POWER – Began awkwardly. Laid out rounding the home turn. Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
FADING MIST – Began awkwardly, hampered and lost ground. Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
WIN TUFF – Slow to begin.
 
PUNDIT – Had a tendency to lay out under pressure over the final 200m, resulting in its rider having to stop riding and straighten on a number of occasions.
 
NEW ALLIANCE – Raced four wide without cover throughout.
 
 
Race 5: COUNTRY RACING SYNDICATIONS Fillies & Mares 0-62 Handicap – 1100m
 
LOCH MAREE – Began awkwardly and had a tendency to lay in shortly after the start. After being caught wide early was restrained to obtain a position three wide with cover passing the 700m. After passing the 600m commenced to lay out.
 
JARDIN ROUGE – Slow into stride and was then ridden forward to obtain a position outside the lead approaching the 900m.
 
NORTHERN DIVINE – After beginning from a wide barrier was restrained to the rear to obtain a position closer to the rail.
 
VINGAGE BEAUTY – Shortly after the start was tightened for racing room when ESSAKA shifted out slightly and LOCH MAREE laid in slightly. Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
BEST DANCE YET - Shortly after the start was tightened for racing room when ESSAKA shifted out slightly and LOCH MAREE laid in slightly.
 
CLIODHNA – Passing the 500m was forced wider on the track when BEST DANCE YET shifted out to improve.
 
 
Race 6: WAYNE COX 20 YEAR MEMORIAL Maiden Handicap – 1800m
 
Correct weight was delayed to allow the connections of the second placegetter SLAUGHTER BAY to view the patrol footage of the home straight to determine if they had grounds to lodge an objection against the winner PEAK HILL. After doing so they declined to proceed.
 
DE BELLE OF CANNES – Fractious in the gates prior to the start being effected. Passing the 300m was slightly inconvenienced by SLAUGHTER BAY, which shifted out to improve.
 
DELZALI – Slow to begin and then slightly hampered between runners.
CAMBRIDGE DON – Tightened on jumping. Passing the 1400m when being restrained to obtain a trailing position commenced to overrace and got its head up and continued to do so until the 800m. Approaching the 700m was forced wider on the track by TANG DYNASTY, which shifted out to improve. Approaching the 250m was bumped by SLAUGHTER BAY, which shifted out to improve.
 
WESTERN ORDER – Began awkwardly and shifted in.
 
RED FLYER – Raced wide early before pressing forward to obtain a position outside the leader near the 1400m.
 
ASTANA – After being caught wide in the early stages was unable to obtain cover and raced three wide without cover for the remainder.
 
PEAK HILL – Held up rounding the home turn and after passing the 300m had to alter course to the outside to obtain clear running.
 
SLAUGHTER BAY – Held up rounding the home turn.
 
 
Race 7: JPM VALUERS & PROPERTY CONSULTANTS QTIS 3YO Class 1 Plate – 1100m
 
The start was delayed when the bridle of RIVER FLYER had to be adjusted prior to being loaded into the barriers.
 
GOODONYA SONJA – Began awkwardly.
 
LION COMING – Began awkwardly and then hung in severely despite the efforts of its rider causing tightening to runners to its inside. After passing the 600m continued to hang in and rounding the home turn laid in tightening NOBLE HUSSLER, which was racing to its inside. Continued to hang in for the remainder of the event. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be suffering from cardiac arrhythmia and was lame in the off fore knee. Stable representative for trainer M. Hemmings was advised that the results of an ECG and a veterinary clearance must be provided and the gelding must compete in an official trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to racing again.
 
NOBLE HUSSLER – Bumped on jumping and was then severely tightened for room when LION COMING hung in.
 
CINNABON – Bumped shortly after the start and had to be checked when tightened for room by NOBLE HUSSLER, which was taken in by LION COMING.
 
KOTA FLYER – After passing the 1000m was severely tightened when crowded for racing room by CINNABON, which was taken in by LION COMING.
 
JUNCTION – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 8: GCTC MEMBERSHIP JOIN NOW! Colts, Geldings & Entires RB 0-62 Handicap - 1100m
 
MEET MR TAYLOR – Began awkwardly and shifted out. Laid out rounding the home turn.
 
GROGANS ANVIL – Began awkwardly and then laid in for a short distance tightening runners to its inside. After passing the 800m commenced to overrace and had to be restrained from the heels of THE AMBASSADORE.
 
CLAIRVUE – Severely hampered when tightened for room on jumping.
 
NAKANAI – Severely hampered when tightened for room on jumping.
 
STAR JUSTICE – Severely hampered when tightened for room on jumping.
 
ARCHIE LUXURY- Passing the 800m commenced to overrace and had to be steadied away from the heels of BUNGAREE BOY then raced three wide with cover for the remainder.Approaching the 200m was bumped by BUNGAREE BOY, which was taken out by FALKIRK DRIVE, which shifted out to improve.
 
BUNGAREE BOY – Approaching the 200m was bumped by FALKIRK DRIVE, which shifted out to improve. Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
FALKIRK DRIVE – Approaching the 200m improved onto the heels of THE AMBASSADORE and shifted out to improve.
 
 
Race 9: RACING AWARDS NIGHT 15TH AUG BM 65 Handicap -1800m
 
CHARLES THE THIRD – Slow into stride.
 
DEFENCE WITNESS – Began awkwardly. Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
LEPRECHAUN LAD – Raced four wide in the early stages before being allowed to stride forward to obtain a position outside the leader passing the 1200m.
 
CASHINKO – Passing the 600m was forced wider on the track when THE BARRACUDA shifted out to improve.
 
WHYNOTROC – Held up rounding the home turn for a short distance. Had a tendency to lay out under pressure in the home straight.
 
SINGARAJA – Slightly inconvenienced approaching the 200m when racing in restricted room to the inside of THE BARRACUDA and to the outside of LUCY LE ROC, which shifted out slightly.
