OSAYCAN ¨C Slow to begin. Had a tendency to lay in under pressure in the home straight.

SHE¡¯S OUR RIPPA ¨C Began awkwardly. Shifted out to obtain clear running near the 400m bumping ACEPLAY, before shifting back to the inside. Lost the near hind plate in running.

MINAJ A STAR ¨C Shifted out at the start bumping MY BIG BROTHER.

MY BIG BROTHER ¨C Bumped at the start. Raced greenly in the early stages. Crowded for room near the 600m and shifted in tightening another runner.

ACEPLAY ¨C Laid in near the 600m crowding runners to its inside. Bumped by SHE¡¯S OUR RIPPA near the 400m.

DANITES ¨C Tightened for room near the 600m by MY BIG BROTHER, then laid out when being steadied.

PERFECT SAGA ¨C Raced greenly under pressure in the home straight. Raced wide for the majority of the race.

BETTER THAN BEST ¨C Trainer T. Sears advised from the wide barrier today the intention would be to ride the filly in a mid to back position if circumstances permit. The filly was ridden accordingly. Overraced in the early stages. Bumped by PAREDO which was forced outwards near the 1100m.

SPIRIT ONE ¨C Jumped outwards at the start bumping RUDDOCK. Shifted in near the 1100m placing runners to its inside in restricted room. Lost the off hind plate in running. App A. Patis was reminded of her obligations in regards to the use of her whip prior to the 100m.

PAREDO ¨C Began awkwardly. Forced wider near the 1100m and shifted out bumping BETTER THAN BEST.

STRUMAN ¨C Overraced in the early stages and shifted out near the 1100m forcing PAREDO wider.

FOXETO ¨C Momentarily raced in restricted room near the 1100m.

JETTY ¨C Momentarily raced in restricted room near the 1100m.

RUDDOCK ¨C Laid in under pressure leaving the 200m before being corrected near the 150m.

BAD INK ¨C Stood flatfooted and lost considerable ground. Trainer J. Anderson was advised she must obtain a further barrier certificate for the gelding prior to it being permitted to race again.

THE CHOSEN ONE ¨C Slow to begin.

LOVE OVER GOLD ¨C When racing ungenerously near the 200m shifted in and away from VITTORINA tightening the running of MOSSFAIR, which shifted in bumping GOTTHERE on the hind quarters, which became unbalanced and in turn shifted out crowding the running of DIYOSA.

MOSSFAIR ¨C Tightened for room near the 200m and shifted in bumping GOTTHERE.

GOTTHERE ¨C Bumped on the hind quarters by MOSSFAIR which shifted in near the 200m, resulting in GOTTHERE becoming unbalanced and shifting in crowding DIYOSA.

DIYOSA ¨C Crowded near the 200m.

SAMURAI ¨C Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the race.

MAHSTAR ¨C Raced wide for the majority of the race.

Jockey R. Palmer (VINTAGE MODEL) was fined $100 for excessive use of her whip prior to the 100m. In considering penalty Stewards took into account Jockey Palmer¡¯s recent good record in regards to this Rule.

Race 5 ¨C Might And Power Open Handicap ¨C 1800m
PRIORITISE ¨C Raced wide in the early stages before being allowed to improve forward and obtain the lead near the 1300m. Raced keenly for some distance after obtaining the lead.

BENFICA PRINCESS ¨C Commenced to overrace leaving the 1500m for a short distance throwing its head in the air.

FACTORY WARRIOR ¨C Overraced in the early and middle stages.
Race 6 ¨C Turners Engineering Fillies & Mares Benchmark 72 Handicap ¨C 1200m
SHE ZA BOSS ¨C Blundered badly on jumping and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

MISS BENETEAU ¨C Slow to begin. Disappointed for a run leaving the 300m having to be steadied and shifted wider.

THINE IS THE POWER ¨C Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the race.

CARRY ON RINGO ¨C Raced wide for the majority of the race.

Jockey J. Woodhouse (SHIJIN) was cautioned regarding the use of his whip prior to the 100m.

Race 7 ¨C Ladies In Racing Magazine Benchmark 78 Handicap ¨C 2200m
The start was delayed when CALIBRATION took fright and became fractious in the barriers. CALIBRATION was removed from the barriers, underwent a veterinary examination which revealed a minor laceration to its near hind leg and that the gelding had lost its near hind plate. CALIBRATION was subsequently declared a late scratching at 2.49 p.m. All monies invested on CALIBRATION were ordered to be refunded. Deductions applicable to bets placed on winner and placegetters prior to 2.49 p.m.:-

Correct weight was delayed to allow the Trainers of the dead heated runners to view the photo finish. After viewing the official print the relevant parties were satisfied with the Judge¡¯s decision and correct weight was semaphored on the Judge¡¯s numbers.

Correct weight was further delayed to allow Stewards to view the race to ascertain whether BULLET SHOT was afforded a fair start. After viewing the official footage Stewards declared BULLET SHOT a runner.
BULLET SHOT ¨C Began very awkwardly making contact with the inside barrier partition causing Jockey M. McGIllivray to become unbalanced resulting in him being dislodged shortly after the start. Jockey McGIllivray declared himself free of injury and able to fulfil his remaining engagements.

TYCOON PLAYER ¨C Blundered on jumping. Overraced in the early stages when racing wide and as a result was allowed to stride forward to obtain the lead near the 1400m. Jockey L. Cheshire reported that in her opinion the horse had got its tongue over the bit during the race.

MOGUL ¨C Blundered on jumping. Inconvenienced by the riderless BULLET SHOT passing the winning post on the first occasion.

HOLBROOK ¨C Raced in restricted room rounding the home turn when tiring.

LA PULGA ¨C Inconvenienced by the riderless BULLET SHOT leaving the 200m for a short distance.

Race 8 ¨C Infinity Motorhomes QTIS 3YO Handicap ¨C 1400m
JELVISS - Due to a misunderstanding Jockey R. Maloney was unable to fulfil the ride and was replaced by N. Evans. Improved onto heels near the 900m and was checked.

INDIAN DREAMER ¨C Slow to begin. Forced very wide near the 900m by SIDEKISS, which shifted out and as a result was restrained to gain a position closer to the rail.

VIVID FORTRESS ¨C Slow to begin. Checked near the 900m after improving onto heels.

SIDEKISS ¨C Improved onto heels near the 900m and shifted wider, forcing INDIAN DREAMER wider. Raced wide from this point onwards.

THE DARK ¨C Raced wide for the majority of the race.

JEDAFFAIR ¨C Fractious in the barriers. Began awkwardly and shifted out tightening runners.

AQUA VITE ¨C Shifted inwards on jumping tightening runners to its inside. Raced wide for the majority.

TIME TO PLAY ¨C Tightened for room on jumping. Shifted wider leaving the 700m and raced wide from that point onwards.

MANAYA ¨C Tightened for room at the start. Disappointed for a run near the 400m.

IN HIS STRIDE ¨C Tightened for room at the start.

DESMON¡¯S PRIDE ¨C Began awkwardly. Inconvenienced near the 200m by TOP STRIKER, which shifted out.

ECKER ROAD ¨C Commenced to race ungenerously when being crossed near the 1250m.

INTRINSIC ¨C Commenced to over-race for a short distance when being restrained near the 900m.

TOP STRIKER ¨C Shifted out under pressure near the 200m inconveniencing DESMON¡¯S PRIDE. Jockey M. McGillivray (TOP STRIKER) was severely reprimanded and advised to show greater care.

Jockey N. Keal (BANDIPUR) was reminded of his obligations to ride his mounts out to the finish.

The start was delayed when COLPO DI TAMBURO dislodged its rider App N. Keal behind the barriers. App Keal was examined by the QAS officers and declared unfit to fulfil his engagement and as such COLPO DI TAMBURO was subsequently declared a late scratching at 4.43 p.m. All monies invested on COLPO DI TAMBURO were ordered to be refunded.
