Jockey Callow stated that with no instructions issued regarding tactics and with multiple runners which showed speed to his inside he elected to take cover in a three-wide trailing position on THE KNIGHT. Jockey Callow was of the opinion that if he had elected to continue to press RIOT ACT forward from the start at best it may have settled one horse closer but still three-wide.
