Race 1: Carlton Mid Class B Handicap- 1194 METRES
 
SIR CLISBY- Jumped awkwardly, made contact with DUFOUR and raced ungenerously for a short distance afterwards.
 
FLYING FERO- Rider reported that horse resented the sand kickback in the early stages and tailed the field throughout.
 
Race 2: Happy Easter Maiden Plate- 1000 METRES
 
MOONLIGHT KISS- Slow to begin.
 
TIBYAAN- Near 400 metres, eased momentarily when another rolled in slightly.
 
Race 3: Gladstone Harbour Festival BM 60 Handicap- 850 METRES
 
SOCIETY QUEEN- Blundered on jumping.
 
WORTH THE TIME- Shortly after the start buffeted between runners.
 
CLARAGH- Late declaration of rider was acceptable. Jockey R Achini was advised of the rule in relation to raising his arm above shoulder height when using the whip.
 
Race 4: Greg McCann Memorial Open Sprint Handicap- 1194 METRES
 
Stewards inquired into Apprentice E Smith being dislodged from MIDNIGHT CURFEW near the 1000 metres. After taking evidence from App Smith, Jockey K Gates (MAH BAKER), Jockey D Simmons (AL’S BRIEFS) and R. Faehr (WAYS AND MEANS), Stewards established that near the 1100 metres, MIDNIGHT CURFEW and AL’S BRIEFS raced tight when MAH BAKER crossed and went forward. Further, near the 1000 metres, MAH BAKER shifted back out at which time that MIDNIGHT CURFEW commenced to over-raced and a short distance after, clipped the heels of MAH BAKER and dislodged Apprentice Smith. Stewards could not attribute fault to any rider and took no action.
 
Race 5: Biralee Raceday 20th May BM 55 Handicap 1517 METRES

 
BLAZE TO FORTUNE- Late declaration of rider was acceptable.
 
TRIGGER LAD- Raced wide throughout.
 
GAS BURNER- Raced keenly in the early stages and eased near the 1000 metres.
