GENERAL:

Race one was rescheduled to 1:35 to allow officials, horses and jockeys to arrive on course whom were delayed due to a traffic accident.

RACE 1: ZINC FAMILY PICNIC RACEDAY ON 25th JULY MAIDEN PLATE 1170m
1ST- HOT ZEPHYR 2ND- CRYSTAL BEACH 3RD- APPLE TREE CREEK 4TH- OMITTANCE

MACHTIG RENHUNG- App. H Phillips reported that the gelding raced greenly throughout the event.

CALL ME CARLOS- Slow to begin.

HOT ZEPHYR– Raced 4 wide without cover.

CLANG’S TOUCH- Difficult to load. Jockey I Coombes and trainer M Bailey were questioned in regards to the geldings poor performance. Jockey I Coombes stated the gelding jumped well, showed plenty of pace and travelled well in the early stages of the event however, it was reluctant to hold its place in the field, tailed out and finished distanced. Trainer M Bailey stated that the gelding pulled up well following the event and was pleased with its preparation leading into todays race. Therefore could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. Stewards advised Trainer M Bailey that it will be required to perform satisfactorily in a long jump out or trial in the presence of a steward prior to racing again. Post race veterinary inspection revealed no significant findings.


RACE 2: R.S.L.A SUB BRANCH QTIS CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1170m
1ST- EPIC MISS 2ND- MISSAMORK 3RD- VISION AND VALUES 4TH- SCORPION PRINCESS

Declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow T White, trainer of second place getter MISSAMORK to view the photo finish image. After viewing the image, correct weight was declared on the judge’s placings.

EPIC MISS – Lost off hind shoe in running.


RACE 3: R.S.L SOCIAL SNOOKER CLUB CLASS 3 PLATE 850m
1ST- FOREGONE 2ND- FRISCO RAIN 3RD- COUNT KAWANA 4TH- TYCOON ANNIE

WAY UP THERE- Slow to begin.

FRISCO RAIN- Reared as start was effected and lost ground.


RACE 4: R.S.L SOCIAL BOWLS CLUB CLASS B HANDICAP 1470m
1ST- NIK NIK 2ND- ASTRALIN 3RD- CASA CIELLO 4TH- FAMECHON BARONESS

CASA CIELLO – Blundered on jumping and lost considerable ground.

BRADBURY’S FORTUNE- Raced wide throughout.

ASTRALIN – Raced wide throughout.

BALKANS CLANG – Jumped away awkwardly. Post- race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame both hind legs. Trainer G Parker was advised that a veterinary certificate would be required prior to it racing again.

RACE 5: R.S.L CLUB CUP BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP 1470m
1ST- UNIQUE FUSE 2ND- GLENTHORN AVENUE 3RD-LEGAZPI 4TH- FASTA THAN LIGHT

CELTIC DRAGON – Slow to begin.

NOT WITHOUT SIN – Raced wide throughout.

DAYUAN – Raced wide throughout.
