Race 1: STEERS STEAKHOUSE CLASS B H'CAP – 1170M
 
BLOOMERANG – Blundered shortly after the start and lost ground. Continued to lose ground during the early stages due to resenting the sand kickback.

STORM ANCHOR – Blundered badly on jumping and lost significant ground almost dislodging the rider.
 
MAGICAL MAIDEN – Significantly slow to begin.
 
FAST TRICK – As T Chambers was unable to make the allotted weight she was replaced by M Crawford. Steadied when racing in restricted room near the 800m.
 
SPEAKING BAD – Raced in restricted room for a short distance passing the 100m.
 
GUADALUPE – Wide throughout.
 
LIFE BE IN IT – Wide throughout.
 
Race 2: GYMPIE TENNIS CLUB BENCHMARK 55 H’CAP – 850M
 
HIDDEN ANGEL – Lunged forward prior to the start, made heavy contact with the barriers and as a result lost significant ground.
 
COONOWRIN RUBY – Hung out rounding the home turn.
 
MONTE LAGO – Jumped awkwardly and lost ground at the start. Minor abrasion to the near side leg.
 
LOCKOUT – Tightened for room and lost ground at the start.
 
HIDRIFTER – Wide throughout.
 
LUSHNESS – Wide throughout.

 
Race 3: VIETNAM VETERANS QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1030M
 
HOT SOPRANO was declared a late scratching at 2:48pm when unable to be loaded. All monies invested on HOT SOPRANO were ordered to be refunded and deductions on all successful wagers were ordered as follows: successful win bets less 31c in the dollar and successful place bets less 21c in the dollar. Connections were advised that a further barrier certificate would be require prior to next race start.
 
DAUNTING QUEEN – Slow to begin.
 
PISTOL AND BOO – Slow to begin.
 
IT’S WHAT I DO – Slow to begin and resented the sand kickback.
 
BUCK’S ME BOY – Saddle slipped badly near the 600m and placed the rider at a disadvantage for the remainder of the event.
 
FIND NEMO – Wide throughout.
 
Race 4: GYMPIE RSL SUB BRANCH BENCHMARK 65 H’CAP – 1030M
 
LOST THIEF – Slow to begin and unable to muster early speed.
 
PENNY SHARES – Resented sand kickback and raced ungenerously during the early stages.
 
THE ROBBER – Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 5: GYMPIE RSL CLUB CUP BENCHMARK 65 H’CAP – 1470M
 
HANOVER SQUARE – Slow to begin. Momentarily held up when rounding the home turn.
 
PRINCE MANITOU – Slow to begin and raced wide without cover.
 
HEIRSROC – Slow to begin.
 
CLOUDS – Wide until the 500m.
