SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
From 8 July - Race 1 Maiden Plate 800m – Esk
 
Jockey N. Tomizawa (SUPER EXCEPTIONAL) was reprimanded under AR 132(5) for using his whip fifteen times in totality, which is one more than permitted.
 
 
 
Race 1: AJT LEGAL WILLS & ESTATE PLANNING QTIS Maiden Plate 1170 metres
 
The start of this race was delayed when MISS BONTASTIC dislodged it`s rider shortly after moving onto the track. After galloping a considerable distanceMISS BONTASTIC was recaptured and declared a late scratching on Vets advice. The race was further delayed when FIREBIRD TWO refused to load and was declared a late scratching.
 
Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered that all bets placed onMISS BONTASTIC and FIREBIRD TWO to be refunded with the following deductions to be applied to successful bets:
1st ONE IN ALL 10c win, 7c place.
2nd DAULAT MACHTIGKUDA 15c place.
3rd QUEEN'S REIGN 14c place.
 
DAULAT MACHTIGKUDA – Jumped out at the start and bumped DAY TIME MARTINIS. Approaching the 1000m mark raced in restricted room betweenONE IN ALL and  DAY TIME MARTINIS.
 
ONE IN ALL – Shifted in under pressure in the home straight.
 
PAULI – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
ZESTY BOY (NZ) – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
FIREBIRD TWO – The start was delayed when FIREBIRD TWO refused to be loaded into the barriers and was declared a late scratching at 1.02pm. Trainer G Richardson was advised the gelding would be required to obtain a further barrier certificate before racing again.
 
BOITUMELO – As Jockey C Eaton was dual engaged in this race she was replaced on BOITUMELO by Jockey G Steele.
 
DAY TIME MARTINIS – Bumped on jumping.
 
ALCAMO BEACH – Due to a shortage of available Jockeys for this race, Stewards accepted Trainer L Birchley`s reason for the late notification of Jockey Ms Minonette Kennedy to ride the filly.

MISS BONTASTIC – When leaving the saddling enclosure, the mare dislodged Jockey C Eaton and galloped a considerable distance before being recaptured. Declared a late scratching on Vets advice at 12.56pm. Jockey C Eaton was examined by on course QAS officers and was considered fit to fulfill her remaining riding engagements

Race 2: AJT LEGAL CONVEYANCING BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 850 metres
 
The start of this race was delayed when BLUE SMARTIE refused to load into the barriers.
 
Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered that all bets placed on BLUE SMARTIE to be refunded with the following deductions to be applied to successful bets:
1st LOGAN'S BLADE 0c win, 1c place.
2nd CITY CHICK 2c place.
3rd OUR LIL SISTAR 3c place.
 
TA CHANSON – Raced wide.
 
DAUNTING WARRIOR – Slow to begin.
 
DAUNTING PRINCESS – Slow to begin and lost ground.
 
CITY CHICK – Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.
 
OUR LIL SISTAR - Trainer B Gorman was fined $100 pursuant to LR 67(1) for failing to declare a rider within the prescribed time.
 
ULTRA INSTINCT – Obliged to shift wider approaching the 50m when CITY CHICK shifted out under pressure.
 
BLUE SMARTIE - The start was delayed when BLUE SMARTIE refused to be loaded into the barriers and was declared a late scratching at 1.33pm. Trainer K Afford was advised the mare would be required to obtain a further barrier certificate before racing again.
 
 
Race 3: AJT LEGAL BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1470 metres
 
BRYNEICH – Bumped on jumping. Raced wide throughout.
 
GENTLE PRINCE – Jumped out at the start and bumped BRYNEICH. Hung out around the first turn and in the middle stages of the race.
 
NORTHERN WOODS (NZ) – Shifted wide at the 600m.
 
CAIRNDOW – Apprentice R Thorburn reported that the gelding although travelling well in the early stages was still off the pace and trailed the field. Apprentice Thorburn added that after the 600m CAIRNDOW improved his momentum and in his opinion todays drop back in distance did not suit the gelding.
 
 
Race 4: AJT LEGAL PROPERTY LAW BENCHMARK 45 Handicap 1470 metres
 
LATE NIGHT DEVIL – Over raced in the middle stages of the race.
 
SAW THAT COMING – When asked to comment on the gelding’s performance, Jockey M Butler reported that in his opinion
SAW THAT COMING is not suited to the sand track.
 
MARMION – Reared as the start was affected and lost ground. Over raced in the early stages.
 
THE ANGELS KISS – Apprentice jockey S Blunt, rider of THE ANGELS KISS, was charged pursuant to rule AR132(7)(a)(ii) for excess use of the whip on eight occasions prior to the 100m, three more than permitted. Apprentice Blunt pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $300.
 
 
RACE 5: KAREN LENNARD MEMORIAL OPEN Handicap 1170 metres
 
MOSCINI – Blundered at the start. Became unbalanced and bumped DIGGITY.
 
DARE TO SHARE – Began awkwardly and bumped GO DEEP.
 
DIGGITY – Bumped on jumping. Raced wide throughout.
 
GO DEEP – Bumped on jumping.
 
 
Race 6: AJT LEGAL ESTATE ADMINISTRATION BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1170 metres
 
 
YOWZA - Passing the 200m fell and dislodged Apprentice Sophie Blunt. Subsequently when YOWZA was examined by the on-course Veterinarian it was diagnosed that the gelding had a significant injury to his offside foreleg. The Vet determined that the injury sustained by YOWZA was a compound fracture to the off-foreleg cannon bone resulting in the gelding being euthanised on humane grounds. Apprentice Sophie Blunt was examined by the on-course QAS officers and subsequently transported by ambulance to the Gympie Hospital for further examination regarding symptoms of concussion and a complaint of pain in her left shoulder.
 
MUSSEL LINES – Began awkwardly, jumped in and bumped KALLIE. Raced wide throughout.
 
GOSSIAUX – Began awkwardly.
 
MANDO ROCK – Slow to begin and lost ground. Shifted wide shortly after the start and raced wide throughout. On returning to scale Jockey C Eaton reported that in her opinion the mare was not suited by today’s sand track and after being slow to begin resented the sand kickback.
 
KALLIE – Began awkwardly, jumped out and bumped MUSSEL LINES.
