Riding Changes
When jockey R Graham failed to arrive on course and jockey D Green was injured following a fall at Cairns on Saturday 12th September, stewards permitted the riding replacements as per the steward’s summary. Jockey R Graham will be interviewed.

Race 1: Class B Handicap 900 metres:
1st – MISS MYSTIFIED 2nd – LOG CABIN 3rd – AVELLINO 4th – SNITZEL ROSE

KOOLKUNA BABE – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

Race 2: Class 3 Plate 1000 metres:
1st – SHE BEE STINGIN’ 2nd – PERFECT RAINBOW 3rd – ROYAL PHYSICIAN 4th – SERGEANT SHRIVER

DENIS THE DUDE – Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding which tailed off did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Mr R Tapiolas said the gelding would now be retired. Acting on this assurance no action was taken.

ROYAL PHYSICIAN – Was inclined to lay out.

Race 3: Maiden Plate 1180 metres:
1st – HELOW TUCKER 2nd – MOLONGLE HERO 3rd – MADEMOISELLE ZARIZ 4th – SAVAGE LAND

TERRE MIA – Raced ungenerously in the early stages then weakened noticeably and tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination of the filly did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Ms C Lindgren said that the filly would now be spelled.

Race 4: Benchmark 60 Handicap 1180 metres:
1st – MOLONGLE CHIEF 2nd – DANARULE 3rd – ORATRY 4th – PACHAMAMA

MOLONGLE CHIEF – Shifted out abruptly at the start.

PACHAMAMA – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

Passing the 700m KISS ME QUICK had to be steadied to avoid the heels of DANGAR DIVA (Jockey M Abe) which shifted in when not quite clear. Jockey M Abe was reprimanded under AR137 (a).

DANARULE – Required veterinary treatment following the race to remove dirt from the gelding’s eyes.

Race 5: Bill Prizeman Trophy Benchmark 55 Handicap 1460 metres:
1st – CRAIGLEA FOCUS 2nd – UNDIAMO 3rd – OUR HUSSLER 4th – ARLINGTON PARK

BEG PARDON – After being placed in the barriers became fractious, was inspected by the club’s veterinary officer and declared unfit. Acting on this advice BEG PARDON was a late scratching at 4.23pm and when correct weight was declared it was ordered that all bets placed on BEG PARDON be refunded in full and all other successful bets made on the race prior to 4.23pm be subject to the following deductions of 16c win and 18c place on the face value of the betting ticket. Trainer Ms C Lindgren was told that a warning would be placed on the gelding and should it perform similarly in the future it would be placed in barrier trials to rectify its manners.
