ZOOMANIA – Declared a late scratching at 9.20 am on veterinary advice.
DANAGAZE – Stood flatfooted at the start and lost considerable ground.
FOREST WAY – R. McMahon explained that in today's track conditions he was quite content to remain racing one off the fence in the middle stages as he was aware that BILLY DA BOSS was to his outside, 3 wide without cover. He added that when BILLY DA BOSS steadied and shifted to the inside of his mount he was content with that position as he felt the track was inferior on the rail. R. McMahon further stated when he attempted to improve approaching the 500m he had to do so by racing wider than he would have liked however he did believe that the condition of the track out towards the middle was better than the section in which BILLY DA BOSS was racing on.
Race 3: Sky Racing Maiden H'cap – 1350m
ISIS ANGEL – Missed the start slightly.
CAPTAIN RED – Missed the start slightly. Overraced in the middle stages.
EYE OF HORUS – Began awkwardly and shifted out.
FLINDERS LUCK – Raced 3 wide without cover.

AUDREE – Hung out badly from the 800m and then raced wide thereafter. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the horse regarding its racing manners.
PROVOCATEUR – After the 200m became unbalanced when bumped by FINAL RUN.
FIFTEEN LOVE – Raced 3 wide without cover.
Race 5: Sirromet QTIS 2yo H'cap – 1200m
ONE MORE MAGIC – The start was delayed when the saddle shifted during the preliminary, causing jockey J. Taylor to become unbalanced and be dislodged. After being examined by the ambulance officers he was cleared to fulfil his engagement.
ROXY RHYTHM – Began awkwardly. Bumped near the 100m.
BELLA LA BELLE – Began awkwardly.
LEDOYEN – When questioned regarding the tactics adopted, jockey T. Bell stated the colt had been slow to begin at its previous start, which resulted in him racing at the tail of the field. He added that his intention was to obtain a position with cover today, however after beginning well from a wide barrier he allowed his mount to stride forward and obtain a position closer to the fence, which resulted in him leading today.
Following this event the track rating was upgraded to Soft 5.
Race 6: Queensland Times CG&E Ratings Band 0-70 H'cap – 1350m
I DO CARE – Slow into stride.
ROYAL SHOUT – Hung out rounding the home turn.
TRAGEDY – Apprentice L. Dittman explained that from the wide draw his intention was to be midfield with cover if possible. He said his mount began best and it became apparent early on no runners to his inside appeared intent on leading, so he elected to allow the gelding to stride forward and cross to the lead despite his instructions. After doing this he endeavoured to steady the tempo however his saddle shifted forward and as he was reluctant to fight the gelding he felt obliged to let it run along at a moderate tempo in front.
Race 7: Ray White Ipswich F&M Band 0-70 H'cap – 1350m
NO WIN NO WINE – Slow to begin.
LOCHLEE – Stood awkwardly in the barriers and missed the start.
HIGH ACE – Raced wide without cover.
MISS INTERIORS – Hung out making the home turn.
DREAM SPEED – Jockey J. Lloyd stated his mount travelled in a rearward position as anticipated, and when the tempo quickened down the side he was caught a little flatfooted, and as he was concerned he would be carried wider by TRUSTEE, he elected near the 500m to shift back inside with the horse to save ground. He added that when placed under pressure in the straight, the filly finished the race off very nicely. Jockey Lloyd indicated he did express to connections DREAM SPEED would appreciate a step up in distance.
Race 8: Optus Class 3 H'cap – 1200m
TRUSTEE – Slow into stride. Overraced in the early and middle stages.
