RACE 3: QCC Business And Leisure Club BenchMark 75 H'Cap – 1200m

GIRLS COMMAND – Slow to begin. Stewards questioned jockey J. Byrne regarding his riding rounding the home turn as to whether there was an opportunity to shift wider on the track and improve into the race from the 500m. Jockey Byrne stated that leaving the 500m he was concerned that ONE GREY, which was racing forward of him, was going to be taken wider by CANTBUYBETTER and as such he was reluctant to improve to the outside of that runner. Jockey Byrne added that approaching the 400m he was aware that ROYAL OCCASION had improved to his outside and was therefore unable to shift wider without causing interference to that runner. As a consequence he was then held up for clear running upon straightening. Stewards noted his comments.

CANTBUYBETTER – Shifted out rounding the home turn and bumped ONE GREY on 2 occasions when attempting to secure clear running.

ONE GREY – Raced 3 deep without cover for the majority.

MANU MANU – Held up entering the home straight then disappointed for a run and was obliged to shift back to the inside in an endeavour to obtain clear running.

DOUSAICHI – Jockey B. Stewart reported that his intention was to take up a forward position however, from the wide barrier he was obliged to restrain the gelding to obtain cover midfield. Jockey Stewart added that he then had to ride the gelding along to hold its position in the early stages of the race.

Jockey Morris' licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of thirteen (13) days to commence midnight 25 October 2015 and expire midnight 7 November 2015.

RACE 5: IThink Property Sunshine Coast Coming Soon Maiden H’Cap – 1350m

The start was delayed when LONDON LADY cast an off fore plate and had to be replated behind the barriers.

BOLD ATTRACTION – Began awkwardly and made heavy contact with LONDON LADY.

LONDON LADY – Heavy contact at the start and lost ground as a result. Jockey T. Harrison reported to stewards that it was not her intention to race as far back in the field but after beginning awkwardly and suffering slight interference she settled towards the rear of the field.

ANNIHILATION – Bumped at the start. Trainer K. Stabe fined $100.00 for failing to provide the identification card for the gelding when required to do so. Ms Stabe was advised that the gelding would not be permitted to race again until she produces the identification card.
