MINE WITH LIME - Hampered at the 800m.

CAMPAIGN TRAIL – Inclined to lay in when placed under pressure in the early part of the home straight.

LA FEMME FATALE - Stewards inquired into jockey J. Lloyd's riding of the mare over the concluding stages where it appeared he stopped riding for a few strides passing the 100m. He explained that, in his opinion, the mare did not feel comfortable in its action and because of this he did not fully test his mount at this stage. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be stepping short in both forelegs. Connections were advised that a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to its next race start.

RACE 2: Mack Granite F&M Class 3 H'cap – 1100m

MEDIA MAID –Jockey K. Wharton explained that his mount overraced in the early and middle stages, which resulted in the mare not finishing the race off as expected. Inclined to lay in under riding over the final 50m.

HIGH COST – Shifted out shortly after the start, making contact with another runner.

PICAVINO – Shortly after the start bumped by another runner and clipped heels. Disappointed for clear running near the 200m between BAM'S PRINCESS and HONEY KO and obliged to shift wider to obtain clear running.

ROCK DE FRANCE – Forced wider on the track rounding the home turn by another runner.

BAM'S PRINCESS – Laid in approaching the winning post and made contact with HONEY KO.

KENTAUR – A pre race veterinary examination of the gelding, which was returning today from a 12 month spell, cleared the horse to start.

RACE 7: Mack 685 MP10 CG&E Class 3 H'cap – 1100m

YAHUSHA – Trainer T Cotsiopoulos was fined $100 for failing to declare a rider for the horse by the prescribed time.

On return to scale a protest was lodged by N. Day, rider of the 2nd placegetter, HUNCHA DUNCHA, against SHOULDA TO SHOULDA being declared the winner, alleging interference over the final stages. After taking evidence from the parties concerned and viewing the stewards patrol video, stewards established that SHOULDA TO SHOULDA shifted out over the final stages, resulting in contact being made to HUNCHA DUNCHA and forcing it off its rightful racing line. Stewards were comfortable that the interference did have a material effect on the placings, particularly bearing in mind the half head margin between the 2 horses and therefore the protest was upheld and Judge's placings amended to read: No. 1` - Huncha Duncha - 1st No. 5. – Shoulda To Shoulda – 2nd No. 6 – Aquator – 3rd No. 7 – Viva La Proxy – 4th. Subsequently, J. Lloyd, rider of SHOULDA TO SHOULDA, was advised that in similar circumstances he is to stop riding and straighten his mount sooner than he did on this occasion.

AMERICAN HUSSLER – Hampered at the start when bumped by another runner.

HUNCHA DUNCHA – Jumped inwards at the start, making contact with REGARDING HENRY, which shifted out. Blundered of its own accord at the 300m.
