RACE 1: FAREWELL STAN PATCH F&M MAIDEN PLATE – 1200M

TUMBLER – Jumped away awkwardly. Raced three wide without cover throughout.

DREAM OF CHOICE – Finished tailed off. Stewards sought an explanation from J. Taylor regarding the horse's performance. He explained that in his view the horse may have got its tongue over the bit which resulted in it choking down. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

LYRICIST – Hampered at the start when tightened between runners.

Following the running of this event the track was upgraded to GOOD 3.


RACE 2: CITY OF IPSWICH F&M MAIDEN PLATE – 1200M

DIRECT QUOTE – Jumped away awkwardly. When questioned, apprentice L. Dittman stated that the horse travelled comfortably until placed under pressure rounding the home turn and failed to respond to his riding. He added that in his view the mare will take fitness benefit from today's race.

GREY OPINION – Hampered at the start.

WEE DRAGON – Hampered at the start.

RACE 3: SKY RACING C,G&E MAIDEN PLATE – 1200M

LEAP OF LEGEND – Jumped awkwardly. Unable to secure clear running in the home straight and as a result went to the line not fully tested by its rider.

DASHLEY DUBH – Raced three wide throughout.

HOTEL COSTE – Reared as the start was effected and lost ground. Unable to obtain clear running rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight when awkwardly placed at the heels of ROCKY EXPECTATIONS.

ROCKY EXPECTATIONS – Raced three wide without cover throughout.

RACE 4: SCHWEPPES C,G&E MAIDEN PLATE – 1200M

DADDY LONGLEGS – Had to be steadied near the 600m when tightened for room between CONFRONTING and JACKSON BAY, which hung out.

JACKSON BAY – Hung out rounding the home turn.

MAJOR SCOOP – Knuckled soon after the start.

DANCETIME – Hampered at the start when tightened for room. Inconvenienced when bumped by another runner rounding the home turn.

DAZZLE US AGAIN – Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight.

SUNNY BREEZE – Had to be eased near the 900m when tightened for room between DANCETIME and MACHONIC, which was taken in by CONFRONTING. Apprentice M. McGillivray, the rider of CONFRONTING, was issued with a reprimand and advised to provide greater clearance when shifting ground in the future. Bled both nostrils. Ineligible to race for 3 months and prior to racing again must perform satisfactorily in a 1000m gallop in the presence of a steward.

RACE 5: QUEENSLAND TIMES MAIDEN H’CAP – 1700M

MYSTERIUM – Had to be checked after passing the 1000m to avoid the heels of the riderless SLALOM, which shifted in.

COLLATERAL – Had to be checked after passing the 1000m to avoid the heels of the riderless SLALOM, which shifted in. Apprentice B. Appo's licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 7 days, to commence at midnight on Saturday 13 February and expire at midnight on Saturday 20 February 2016, for using the whip on 7 occasions prior to the 100m.

ROLLING – Forced wider near the 900m and raced three wide without cover from that point.

REALLY SURE – Shifted out under pressure passing the 200m.

MARMAJAH – Overraced in the early stages.

SLALOM – Blundered at the start, dislodging rider R. Fradd.


RACE 6: RAY WHITE IPSWICH F&M CLASS 3 PLATE – 1200M

FLIGHT ACADEMY – Slow to begin.

LAUGH A LITTLE – Inconvenienced when momentarily tightened approaching the 400m.

MISS INTERIORS – Raced three wide without cover.

RACE 7: OPTUS BUSINESS CENTRE C,G&E CLASS 3 PLATE – 1200M

DAZZLING HALO Raced three wide without cover.

GID UP STROP – Slow to begin. Held up rounding the home turn. When questioned regarding the horse's performance, apprentice B. Grylls stated that after beginning awkwardly, her mount was positioned further back in the field than she would have liked, and then after being slightly held up on the home turn the horse did not stretch out comfortably, which she felt could perhaps be attributed to the firm racing surface.

HIT THE ROAD JACK– Awkwardly placed at the heels of MADIBA for some distance from passing the 200m until approaching the 100m.

CHILLY PREDICTION – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.

SHARPE HUSSLER – Raced three wide throughout.

SUPERSTITION – Hung in under pressure over the final 200m.

RACE 8: SIRROMET WINERY RATINGS BAND 0-75 H’CAP – 1700M

STORM MAGIC – Raced three wide without cover throughout. Lost its off hind plate in running.

BLUE JEST – Raced three wide.

MISS HUSSON – Hampered when tightened for room at the start.

EPIC CHOICE – Hampered when tightened for room at the start. Apprentice S. Eilbeck reported at scale that she anticipated racing in a forward position, however after meeting with interference at the start, this resulted in her settling towards the rear.

CANONGATE – Late scratching at 8.35 am on veterinary advice.
