GENERAL
Stewards permitted the following overweights:

As Jockey Jake Molloy was indisposed, riding changes were made as per the racing summary.
 
Race 1: SIRROMET BUNDAMBA PLATE QTIS Two-Year-Old Handicap 1200 metres
 
GOLDEN DECADE – Raced wide throughout.
 
TORQUE I TEE – Was bumped on the hind quarters shortly after the start.
 
DEFIANT SPIRIT – Began awkwardly and was hampered and lost ground. Raced keenly during the middle stages.
 
PAYLINE – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide throughout. Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
COSMIC FORTUNE – Began awkwardly and shifted out. Raced greenly in the early stages and approaching the 800m had to be steadied from heels. Laid out rounding the home turn. Raced green under pressure in the home straight.
 
DEEP DAWN – Began awkwardly. Raced greenly throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a minor laceration to its mouth.
 
GOLD 'N' GLAMOROUS – Over raced passing the 500m and was obliged to restrain after improving onto heels.
 
Race 2: RAY WHITE IPSWICH No Metro Wins Handicap 1350 metres
 
MAGIC CHARLEE – Began awkwardly. Raced wide for majority of the event. When questioned, Jockey D. Thornton stated he could not provide any explanation for the disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
REJOICED – Laid in during the home straight.
 
BEAN FOGGY – Began awkwardly. Approaching the 1000m raced in restricted room to the inside of AQUA ALTA. Approaching the 800m commenced to race keenly on heels and had to be steadied.
 
BECKFORD – Slow to begin.
 
BRAVE WARRIOR – Laid in during the home straight.
 
LOOK A'LIKE – Raced wide throughout. Trainer T. Burgess was fined $100 in pursuant to LR 67(1) for the late declaration of a rider.
 
TO LOVE SOMEBODY – Jockey J. Lloyd was fined $200 pursuant to rule AR 211(1) for returning to scale in excess of 0.5kg overweight.
 
VALLAURIS – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
AQUA ALTA – Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 3: GREAT NORTHERN IPSWICH MILE QTIS BENCHMARK 78 Handicap 1666 metres
 
SIR BARNABUS – Slow to begin. Over raced in the early stages when being restrained from heels.
 
SO DAPPER – Began awkwardly.
 
BLACKLOG (NZ) – Raced wide throughout.
 
BAANONE (NZ) – Slow to begin. Raced in restricted room over the concluding stages.
 
EAGLEMONT (IRE) – Passing the 200m was severely hampered and had to be restrained when contacted on the hind quarters. Jockey J. Bayliss rider of RATIONS (NZ) was severely reprimanded pursuant to AR 131(1) for continuing to improve into a run where there was insufficient room to do so. In determining penalty, Stewards were mindful that RATIONS (NZ) was placed in further restricted room by KINETIC which shifted in. Jockey B. Thompson was advised to exercise greater care in future. A post - race veterinary examination revealed to be slightly dehydrated.
 
KINETIC – Began awkwardly. Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
Race 4: 4 CHANNEL SEVEN PROVINCIAL STAYERS FINAL BENCHMARK 78 Handicap 2500 metres
 
READILY AVAILABULL – Slow to begin.
 
SAVVY LEGEND (NZ) – Raced three wide in the early stages before being permitted to stride forward and assume the position outside the leader at the 1500m. When asked to comment, J. Orman stated his mount was over racing throughout and failed to finish the race off. A post – race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer L. Manzelmann advised Stewards the gelding will be going for a short freshen up. Mr Manzelmann was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding for poor performance.
 
MASTER MARKO (NZ) – Over raced during the early stages. Laid in approaching the home turn.
 
LETS TORQUE A DEEL – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
HILLCREST AVENUE (IRE) – Declared a late scratching at 12:38pm after the gelding was found to be lame in the near fore. Trainer S. Kendrick was advised the gelding would require a veterinary certificate prior to its next start.  
 
REFLECTING IMAGE – Slow to begin.
 
LIKEABEEL – Slow to begin.
 
Race 5: RIVER 94.9FM Class 6 Handicap 1100 metres
 
GOLDSBOROUGH (NZ) – Shifted out under pressure approaching the 200m.
 
ORBISYN – Raced wide in the early stages until approaching the 700m. A post – race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be suffering from heat stress.
 
THE TYLER – Slow to begin.
 
ZOUKINA – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
EYEWITNESS – Began awkwardly.
 
RALPHIE – Hampered shortly after the start and lost ground.
 
Race 6: SCHWEPPES T L COONEY 1350 metres
 
FASHION LEGEND – Bumped at the 50m point.
 
SWISS EXILE – Began awkwardly. Shifted out under pressure approaching the 50m point.
 
COUNT DA BEANS – Raced keenly approaching the 700m. When asked to comment, jockey R. Maloney could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed slow post-race recovery.
 
CHAIRMAN – Raced keenly approaching the 700m. Held up early rounding the home turn. Shifted in under pressure over the last 50m.
 
KALUMBURU – Began awkwardly. Jockey J.P Stanley reported to stewards that his mount had a tendency to over race.

STROLL – Began awkwardly.
 
MUMBAI JEWEL – Slow to begin.
 
CAVAUP – Passing the 1300m had to be steadied to avoid the heels of KALUMBURU . Jockey J.P Stanley was advised to exercise care. Approaching the 1000m raced in restricted room for a number of strides to the inside of FASHION LEGEND which shifted in whilst being restrained to obtain cover behind STROLL.
 
Race 7: AB IPSWICH CUP - LISTED 2150 metres
 
NUMERIAN – Jockey J. Guthmann-Chester stated that he felt the gelding had failed to handle the back up. Trainer A. Neasham was fined $200 pursuant to rule LR 67(1) for failing to declare a rider within the prescribed time.
 
DARK DESTROYER (NZ) – Steadied at 1700m.
 
DESERT ICON (FR) – Shifted out rounding the home turn.
 
LONDON BANKER (NZ) – Steadied off heels passing the 400m.
 
REGAL LION (NZ) – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
ROUSSEAU – Slow to begin.
 
SNEAK PREVIEW – Began awkwardly.
 
ZADIG – Hampered passing the 400m when DESERT ICON shifted out to improve.
 
Race 8: CITY OF IPSWICH EYE LINER STAKES - LISTED 1350 metres
 
HOLYFIELD – Began awkwardly.
 
GRAVINA – Raced wide throughout.
 
BANDIPUR – Raced in restricted room for a number of strides passing the 1000m. Raced wide throughout.
 
PROFIT – Raced wide throughout.
 
LEGAL ESPRIT – Held up for clear running on entering the home straight and was unable to be fully tested at any stage in the straight.
 
INDISPENSABLE – Raced wide throughout.
 
PALLADAS – Steadied off heels passing the 400m.
 
DON'T STOP – Raced wide throughout.
 
LOVE SENSATION – Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 9: KINGSLEY LAWSON LAWYERS GAI WATERHOUSE CLASSIC - LISTED 1200 metres
 
SNEAKY FIVE – Over raced during the early stages.
 
MAJESTIC SHOT – Significantly slow to begin, Trainer G. Allard was advised a warning was placed on the mare for standing flat footed. Raced wide throughout. On return to scale, the mare was found to have bled from both nostrils. Stewards advised trainer G. Allard as this was the first occasion, under provisions of AR 79(4), MAJESTIC SHOT would be suspended from racing for three months and must undergo a 1000m gallop in the presence of a Steward prior to racing again.
 
TILIANAM (NZ) – Raced wide throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be displaying clinical signs of cardiac arrythmia. Trainer T. Gollan was advised TILIANAM (NZ) would require an ECG and official trial prior to racing again.
 
ENTERPRISE POMME – Raced wide throughout.
 
SNAPPED – Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be displaying signs of heat stress.
 
RUSSIAN CONQUEST – Jockey L. Cassidy stated that his mount settled further back than anticipated and had to make up too much ground on entering the home straight.
 
RAVAGED AWARD – Over raced during the early stages. Raced wide throughout.
 
BILLIONDOLLARBABY – Raced in restricted room for a short distance passing the 400m.
 
TYPHOON TAAVI – Began awkwardly. Over raced during the early stages. Shifted in under pressure in the home straight.
 
CHASSIS – Jockey J. Bayliss was fined $400 pursuant to AR 131(c) for making a celebratory gesture prior to the winning post.
