GENERAL:
 
Due to todays high temperature forecast this meeting was conducted under the provisions of the Racing Queensland Level 2 Heat Policy.
 
RACE 1: YEO TRANSPORT/McCAULEY EARTHWORKS MAIDEN PLATE  – 1100M
 
The start of this race was delayed due to the ambulance arriving late on course due to being advised of the incorrect starting time.
 
BOPPING THE BLUES – Reluctant to proceed to the barriers. Trainer T. Parry was advised a warning will be placed on the mare’s parading manners.
 
GUACAMOLE – Began awkwardly and shifted out bumping another runner.
 
JUST PRETENDS – Bumped by another runner at the start.
 
THE MARSHALL – Slow to begin.
 
RACE 2: ELROSE/ELDERS RATING BAND 0 – 55 H’CAP – 1100M
 
Stewards accepted the explation tenedered by traier D. Smith for the late declaration of K. Aho as the rider of MARINE ON PARADE.
 
TUNING – Delayed the start when broke through the front of the barriers prior to the start. Was examined by the veterinary surgeon and was cleared to start.
 
WICKED INVESTMENT – Bumped heavily by another runner at the start.
 
DO I HAVE TO – Began awkwardly and shifted in making heavy contact with another runner.
 
VEGANAR – Slow to begin.
 
WICKID WIKI – Slow to begin. Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race.
 
SOLO MIO – Slow to begin.
 
MARINE ON PARADE – Raced wide for the majority of the race. 
 
RACE 3: McKINLAY SHIRE COUNCIL RATINGS BAND 0 – 55 H’CAP – 1100M
 
RUNABOUT – Shifted out at the start crowding runners to its outside.
 
COBUNGRA BOY – Tightened for room at the start.
 
MESSINES ROSE – Tightened for room at the start.
 
SPLENDABA – Tightened for room at the start.
 
NUNCIUS – Beagn awkwardly and shifted inwards crowding runners to its inside.
 
DENLAGO – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start.
 
HOME RUN – Slow to begin.
 
FLAMINGO ROSE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.   
 
RACE 4: FM GRADER HIRE CLASS 5 H’CAP – 1100M
 
HI MACKAY – Slow to begin.
 
MY CRIMSON LAD – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
TOO MANY LIES – Restrained and lost ground near 950m when racing in restricted room.
 
DREAMWARD BOUND – Clipped heels, severely checked and lost ground near the 900m.
 
HOW BIG’S THE HOLE – Rider J. Barbarovich pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that near the 900m he permitted the mare to shift in when not sufficiently clear of DREAMWORD BOUND which clipped that runners heels and was severely checked losing ground. J. Barbarovich’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 10 days to commence midnight 25 November 2017 and to expire midnight 5 December 2017. J. Barbarovich’s good record was taken into account when considering penalty.       
 
 
RACE 5: COREY GILBY MEMORIAL SOUTH 32 OPEN H’CAP – 1200M
 
AUGUSTE – Shifted very wide rounding the hometurn.
 
CRAIGLEA CRUZ – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
RACE 6: JULIA CREEK TOP PUB/JOHNSONS GRADER HIRE BENCHMARK 65 H’CAP – 1350M
 
NO ANGEL HERE – Stewards accepted the explation tenedered by traier T. Parry for the late declaration of S. Mossman as the rider of the mare. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
CRAIGLEA SWIFT – Slow to begin. Resented kick back during the race and raced ungenerously losing ground near the 900m. 
 
ROCK SPARK – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
YOUR WAY OR MINE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
ALLUDER – Blundered on jumping.
