Race 2: BOOTH RURAL/JOHNSONS GRADER HIRE MAIDEN PLATE 1200m

Due to a misunderstanding Jockey S Galvin was dually engaged to ride both BOY IN A MILLION and FLOSSY in this event. After consultation between Stewards and the Trainers of both horses,
Jockey Galvin fulfilled his obligation to ride BOY IN A MILLION and FLOSSY was ridden by Jockey D Sparks. No action was taken against any party.

DUAL PERSONALITY – When questioned in relation to what on face value was an improved performance in comparison to the gelding’s previous start Trainer Ms. T Parry stated DUAL PERSONALITY had benefitted from the drop in class of today’s event, and had jumped cleanly today which allowed the gelding to race in a prominent position where he was able to avoid the kickback in running. Ms. Parry also believed that the engagement of a stronger rider had played a part in today’s performance.
