EVA FEROCIA - Shifted out abruptly at the start.

LUCKY CLOVER - Passing the 600 metres was bumped by another runner. Raced greenly under pressure in the home straight.

Race 2: Fiesta Fascinator Lounge Tickets Online Maiden Plate - 1200 metres
1st DOOM CITY DRAGON 2nd ON THE BID 3rd JORDANS JET 4th - LI'L BIT GREEDY

DINKUMS DARLIN' - Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare, which hung out from the 600 metres, placed its rider at a significant disadvantage, and was ultimately restrained out of the race, did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Ms O Cairns was told that the gelding must trial satisfactorily before being permitted to race again.

PRIME SEQUAL - Slow to begin. Passing the 600 metres was awkwardly placed on heels.

GONDWANA BAY - Raced keenly in the middle stages.

DOOM CITY DRAGON - Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.

DRAGON GOLD - Following the disappointing performance, trainer Mr A. Jones said that the gelding will now be retired from racing.

Race 3: Chaptech Class 3 Plate - 1800 metres
1st - MOSSIMO 2nd WHAT'S YOUR SECRET 3rd OZEIN 4th - ELOVACHILL

CORONATION JOURNEY - Bumped at the start.

MANZANITA - Bumped at the start.

SHIKRA - Crowded for room at the start.

Passing the winning post on the first occasion MOSSIMO (Jockey T. O'Hara) had to be severely checked and lost ground when crowded for room by MANZANITA (App. J. Orman), which was carried inwards by MISHANI ALLEGRA (Jockey D. Evans), which was racing ungenerously and shifted in, despite the efforts of its rider. SHIKRA (App. M. Haley) and ELOVACHILL (Jockey J. P. Stanley), which were following, were hampered as a consequence.

WHAT'S YOUR SECRET - Over-raced and refused to settle in the lead in the middle stages.

MANZANITA - Held up in the early part of the home straight and did not obtain clear running until near the 200 metres.

ROFRANOZ - Held up on heels over the final 200 metres and went to the line without being fully tested.

ELOVACHILL - When questioned regarding racing at the rear of the field, Jockey J. P. Stanley said that he was instructed to obtain cover as the gelding has a tendency to over-race. He stated that from his wide barrier draw he elected to take hold of his mount in an attempt to comply with those instructions, however when racing in a rearward position the gelding was still inclined to over-race in the early stages.

MISHANI ALLEGRA - A post-race veterinary examination of the mare, which raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages, refused to settle and weakened, revealed that the mare had sustained a laceration to its near fore cannon and was mildly lame. Trainer Mr J. Manzelmann was told that he must provide a veterinary clearance prior to the mare being permitted to race again.

Race 4: MM Electrical BenchMark70 Handicap - 1050 metres
1st ACCIDENTAL 2nd BON TEMPS 3rd LOKUM 4th - CHARCOAL MELODY

ACCIDENTAL - Slipped behind on jumping.

CHARCOAL MELODY - Bumped at the start.

SURAH SURAH - Bumped at the start. Raced keenly in the early stages.

Race 5: Barry Williams Memorial BenchMark60 Handicap - 1050 metres
1st DEEP CREEK FLYER 2nd LA RIVE DROITE 3rd JEWELLERY THIEF 4th - DEE DOUBLEYOU

SIGNIFICANT CHOICE - Whilst parading to the barriers the gelding took charge of its rider, R. Payne and galloped a considerable distance. Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the gelding, at 4.47 p.m. Subsequently they ordered that all bets made on SIGNIFICANT CHOICE be refunded in full and that the following deductions apply:

1¢ in the dollar for the win for the winner, DEEP CREEK FLYER
3¢ in the dollar for the place for the winner, DEEP CREEK FLYER
3¢ in the dollar for the place for 2nd, LA RIVE DROITE
1¢ in the dollar for the place for 3rd, JEWELLERY THIEF

Trainer A. Malliff was told that a warning will be placed on the gelding's race day manners.

VERMITHRAX - Passing the 600 metres improved onto heels and blundered. When questioned regarding her mount racing back in the field, Jockey T. Bannon said that she was instructed to lead, if possible, however, after beginning reasonably well, she rode her mount along in an attempt to comply with her instructions. However, when runners to her outside showed superior speed she elected to take up a position with cover and from that point her mount raced keenly.

CANDENTE - Passing the 600 metres had to be shifted wider on the track to avoid another runner, which blundered.

REASONABEEL - Crowded for room at the start. Held up and unable to obtain clear running in the early part of the straight and again over the final 50 metres.

TRICKY BOY - Crowded for room at the start.

DEE DOUBLEYOU - Raced wide throughout.

DEEP CREEK FLYER - When questioned regarding the apparent improved performance of the gelding, trainer Mr F. Smith stated that at its most recent start, when resuming from a 10-months spell, the gelding was inclined to over-race early and weakened. He said that he attributed the improved performance today to the gelding being able to dictate terms in front. The explanation was noted.

Race 6: Colin Smith Memorial Class 2 Handicap - 1300 metres
1st LAMERICAN 2nd VICIOUS CHICK 3rd MADAM PINK 4th - KING OF THEBES

REAL FRENCH SAGA - Crowded for room at the start, then blundered shortly afterwards.

ALERT THIS CITY - Raced ungenerously in the early stages.

BRALGON - Passing the 900 metres had to be steadied when racing tight to the inside of another runner.

Approaching the 200 metres BOCEPHUS (Jockey T. Bannon) shifted out under pressure and carried VICIOUS CHICK (App. M. Hayley) out into the running of BARON REES (Jockey A. Butler), which was hampered. Jockey T. Bannon was advised to exercise more care.

BOCEPHUS - When questioned regarding the poor performance Jockey T. Bannon said that she had to make some use of her mount in the early stages to obtain a position closer to the running rail, rather than be caught wide, however even allowing for this, she said her mount was disappoiniting and weakened from the 200 metres. Jockey Bannon added that in her opinion the gelding did not appreciate the quick back-up after Saturday's race. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
