CRIMSON KIMONO - Slipped behind on jumping. Raced wide without cover throughout.

SONIC BOOMER - Slipped behind on jumping.

MARINE ON PARADE - Bumped at the start.

CRAIGLEA SWIFT - Bumped at the start.

MITCHY'S INSTINCT - When being restrained in the early stages raced keenly with its head up.

FAIRFACTS - On returning to scale App. N. Summers reported that her mount was inclined to lay out throughout the event.

MISHANI ISTANA - When questioned regarding his riding, App. M. Haley stated that he had been instructed to ride the filly in a forward position, however after beginning only fairly, and when runners to his inside showed superior speed, he elected to take up a rearward position closer to the running rail. App. Haley said that his mount travelled comfortably throughout, however shortly after straightening for home was disappointed for a run, then shifted back to the inside and soon afterwards was able to obtain clear running, where the filly ran to the finish strongly. The explanation was noted.

Race 2: Maiden Handicap - 1300 metres
1st CAPE LUCK 2nd EIRIAN 3rd THE CLANG AFFAIR 4th - MISS RICH

BOMBER MISS - Became fractious and reared in the barriers. Examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field.

MISS RICH - Slow to begin.

THE CLANG AFFAIR - Slow to begin, then crowded for room shortly after the start, clipped heels and blundered. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

JORDANS JET - Raced wide throughout.

CORONATION JOURNEY - Inclined to lay out throughout the event.

Passing the 100 metres RULISTIC (App. Darren Evans) shifted in under pressure and crowded CORONATION JOURNEY (App. R. Payne), which had to be steadied. App. Darren Evans was reprimanded and advised to exercise more care.

GANGSTER SQUAD - On returning to scale Jockey J. P. Stanley reported that shortly after straightening for home he was held up for clear running, however when able to obtain clear running the colt failed to respond to his riding and was disappointing.

Race 3: Class 6 Plate - 1300 metres
1st - RIVARIVA 2nd CLEAVER 3rd BON TEMPS 4th - SETTLERS WAY

The declaration of correct weight was delayed to enable connections of SETTLERS WAY, which finished 4th, to examine the video film with a view to lodging an objection against BON TEMPS (App. N. Summers) being declared 3rd. It was established that approaching the 200 metres BON TEMPS shifted in marginally and momentarily inconvenienced SETTLERS WAY. Bearing in mind the minor nature of the interference, connections elected not to lodge an objection, and stewards declared correct weight on the judge's numbers.

ZINDZELA - When questioned regarding the poor performance of the mare, Apprentice M. Haley stated that he was instructed to ride the mare in a rearward position, in accordance with its established racing pattern. He said that whilst racing at the tail of the field he was caught 3 wide when the mare pulled hard and refused to settle. He added that he was then obliged to race in that position throughout and when placed under pressure after straightening for home the mare failed to respond to his riding and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer J. Manzelman advised stewards that the mare will now be sent for a spell.

Race 4: Handicap BenchMark 60 - 1560 metres
1st GO GIRLFRIEND 2nd PATENT PENDING 3rd LAMERICAN 4th - FILLE VILAINE

Race 5: Class 2 Handicap - 1050 metres
1st HUNCHA DUNCHA 2nd MADAM PINK 3rd ANZUS 4th - CATEGORY TWO

SHIGERU MAHOGANY - Acting on a confirmed phone call that the gelding had sustained an injury after being cast in its stall, stewards ordered the withdrawal of SHIGERU MAHOGANY at 1.21 p.m. Trainer Z. Hohn was advised that she must provide a veterinary clearance prior to the gelding being cleared to race again.

COVENTRY - Bumped at the start.

LASTING IMAGE - Slow to begin.

UNION JUKEBOX - Bumped at the start.

CATEGORY TWO - Bumped at the start.

STRONG WILL - Crowded for room at the start.

Passing the 800 metres HUNCHA DUNCHA shifted in despite the efforts of its rider, Jockey N. Day, taking STRONG WILL (Jockey J. Felix) in onto COVENTRY (Jockey D. Simmons), which in turn was taken in onto UNION JUKEBOX (Jockey W. D'Avila), resulting in both UNION JUKEBOX and COVENTRY having to be checked.

Race 6: Open Handicap - 1100 metres
1st CRAIGLEA CRUZ 2nd ARCATRAN 3rd NATURAL DANCER 4th - STARLISTIC

As App. M. Haley was to be overweight, App. N. Summers was substituted as the rider of SCOT FREE. App. Haley was reprimanded under A.R. 120(b). In assessing penalty stewards took into account App. Haley's unblemished record in relation to the rule.

ARCATRAN - Bumped with another runner at the start.

HARD LIQUOR - Bumped by another runner at the start.

ADDICTION TO ROCK - Bumped at the start.

NATURAL DANCER - Bumped by another runner at the start.

MISHANI GLADIATOR - When questioned regarding the poor performance, Jockey B. Stewart said that his mount was constantly under pressure throughout the race. He added that in his opinion the gelding performed better in races over a longer distance than today's event. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormalities.

Race 7: Class 3 Plate - 1200 metres
1st - GOLDEN METEOR 2nd - TURKEY BEACH 3rd - PRINCE DAN 4th - LOKUM

Stewards considered an objection lodged by Jockey A. Butler, the rider of PRINCE DAN which finished 3rd, against GOLDEN METEOR (App. N. Vuille) being declared the winner, alleging interference in the home straight. After taking evidence from the parties concerned, viewing the patrol video films and taking into account their own observations, stewards established that approaching the 200 metres GOLDEN METEOR shifted in and crowded the running of PRINCE DAN, resulting in that runner having to be checked. However, bearing in mind the margin between the two runners at the finish and the manner in which both horses went to the line, stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that had the incident not occurred PRINCE DAN would have finished ahead of GOLDEN METEOR, and therefore the protest was dismissed and the judge's placings ordered to stand. At a subsequent inquiry App. Vuille pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under A.R. 137(a). Her permit to ride in races was suspended for a period to commence at midnight on 24th October 2015 up to and including 3rd November 2015.

REASONABEEL - Slow to begin.
