Race 1: Opteon Class 3 Plate – 1800m
1st Cool Dads 2nd Red Bohemia 3rd Logan’s Run 4th- Macho

CURLEY GREY – Began awkwardly and lost some ground. Jockey B. Richardson was fined $200 for using her whip 6 times over the permissible limit. Stewards were also mindful that the horse was at the rear of the field and unresponsive.

Race 2: Great Northern Maiden Plate – 1200m
1st Onemorenobledancer 2nd Werememberzenneth 3rd Rocket Liner 4th- Forest Magic

BENTOTA – Slow to begin. Overraced for a short distance leaving the 1050m and threw its head in the air.

TIPSY ROCKET – Slow to begin.

GUNDY MAGIC – Jockey A. Coome reported that his mount failed to muster speed on jumping and would have liked to have been more forward if possible. Raced in restricted room near the 900m inside SIR CLISBY and had to be eased.

Race 3: Mackay Drought Relief Race Day 13 February Open H'cap – 1300m
1st Court Clown 2nd Hatzis 3rd Lansdowne Road 4th- Daph ‘n’ Alf

LANSDOWNE ROAD – Slow to begin. Bumped leaving the 900m.

BLUE JEST – Slow to begin. Rolled in and made contact with LANSDOWNE ROAD leaving the 900m.

HATZIS – Slow to begin.

DAPH ‘N’ ALF – Raced wide without cover for the majority of the event. Apprentice Q. Krogh reported that the weight impost had affected its performance today.

DODGE THE GREY – Raced wide with cover.

Race 4: Daily Mercury Class 2 H'cap – 1300m
1st Madam Pink 2nd Beyond 3rd Rockin’ Ready 4th- Dane Cheval

DANE CHEVAL – Commenced to overrace from the 1100m for a short distance.

LASTING IMPRESSION - Raced wide without cover.

SPANISH MAIDEN – Raced wide with cover.

Race 5: Smart State Rentals Benchmark 60 H'cap – 1050m
1st Eliazer 2nd Killer Wasp 3rd Stage Exit 4th- Midnight Song

STANATHOL – Declared a late scratching at 10.30 am after trainer J. Wehlow advised the horse had an elevated temperature.

MAGIC DECISION – Underwent a veterinary examination following its arrival on course after being fractious in the float and again re-inspected at the barriers with no issues reported. Rider R. Payne reported her mount raced flat and attributed this to the weight impost.

LA RIVE DROITE – Made contact with SCOT FREE on jumping. Raced wide with cover.

SCOT FREE – Bumped at the start. Raced wide without cover.

BORN TO SURVIVE – Jockey S. Sheargold was questioned regarding the performance of the horse. He stated he had pressured his mount early and due to the speed of the race was unable to maintain a midfield position and raced at the rear of the field, adding that after placing it under pressure late in the straight he was of the view the horse was looking for further distance.

Race 6: Woollam Constructions QTIS 3yo Maiden H'cap – 1200m
1st I Exceed 2nd Shigzag 3rd Sweet Marcia 4th- Saurabh

SWEET MARCIA – Slow into stride and dipped shortly after the start. Jockey D. Hayse reported his mount failed to muster speed and while he had anticipated being back in the field, took up a position worse than he had expected. He added that in the straight when placed under pressure his mount responded to his riding, and had recommended to connections the horse be stepped up in distance.

UNI – Laid out slightly near the 400m.

HIDDEN DAISY - When racing greenly near the 900m obliged to ease from the heels of another runner.

I EXCEED – Raced wide without cover throughout.

Race 7: Sea FM Benchmark 50 H'cap – 1200m
1st Godavari 2nd Reset Our World 3rd Mademoiselle 4th- Elspeth’s Star

INTRUDING – Slow into stride and shortly after was eased from the heels of GODAVARI, which shifted in.

SILENT GEE – Raced ungenerously and inclined to lay inwards leaving the 1000m.

SOMEPLACE- When another runner continued to lay in approaching the 900m, had to be steadied.

RHAEGO- Placed in restricted room near 900m.

ENEMY OF MAN – Raced wide without cover throughout. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.

STRONG WILL – Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race.

RESET OUR WORLD – Jockey A. Butler pleaded guilty to charges under AR137(a)(5)(i) & (ii), in that he used his whip 9 times over the permissible limit, and 5 times consecutively. With regard to his use of the whip consecutively, he was fined $100. With regard to his use of the whip on more than 5 occasions, he was fined $400. Jockey Butler was advised that further breaches of this rule may attract a suspension.
