Race 1: QTIS Benchmark 65 1450 metres:
1st – MAN OF MELODY 2nd – MIATOKO 3rd – GENERAL SON 4th – COURT ACTION

GENERAL SON – Jockey T Chambers was a late riding engagement and when no other rider was available stewards permitted her to ride the gelding 2kg over its declared weight. Raced wide near the 1200m.

TOUGH COMPANY - Jockey D Ballard was a late riding engagement and when no other rider was available stewards permitted him to ride the gelding 3.5kg over its declared weight.

MAN OF MELODY – Jockey A Spradau was fined $100 under AR120(b) after accepting the ride when he was found to be overweight. When no other rider was available stewards permitted him to ride the gelding 2kg over its declared weight.

SHOW US A SMILE – Raced wide throughout.

Race 2: Benchmark 60 Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – LEICA DUEL 2nd – MASATAKA 3rd – SHIMAZU 4th – MIMI’S ROCKET

TOO MANY LIES and SERENE ROCKET were both late withdrawals at 11.30am when no riders were available.

MASATAKA – Jockey A Spradau was fined $100 under AR120(b) after accepting the ride when he was found to be overweight. When no other rider was available stewards permitted him to ride the gelding 2kg over its declared weight. Raced wide rounding the 600m turn.

KAYAN - Jockey M Hart was a late riding engagement and when no other rider was available stewards permitted him to ride the gelding 3.5kg over its declared weight. On jumping away made contact with the off side gate of the barriers then continued to shift in and made contact with another runner. Raced wide rounding the home turn.

LEICA DUEL – Jockey I Fry was reprimanded under AR120(b) for accepting a ride when subsequently overweight. Stewards took into account his good record in relation to the rule then when no other rider was available stewards permitted him to ride the gelding 1.5kg over its declared weight.

ESKERVINTH – Was bumped at the start by another runner.

MAINS POWER – Was bumped at the start by another runner.

MIMI’S ROCKET - Was slow into stride then raced wide most of the way.

SHIMAZU - Raced wide rounding the 600m and home turns.

GESTICULATION – Jockey T Chambers could no offer no explanation for the poor performance other than the gelding travelled comfortable throughout however weakened when placed under pressure in the straight.

Race 3: Maiden Plate 1100 metres:
1st – PUMPED UP KICKS 2nd – ENCORONADA 3rd – ASHLEN 4th – MISHANI TRADER

SAINT MARY MAC – Was difficult to load into the barriers then began awkwardly and raced greenly. Trainer Mr P Inwood was told that warning would be placed on the mare.

OLLIE OOBA – On return to scale Jockey T Hill explained that gelding raced flat. Trainer Ms T Parry said that in her opinion the gelding performs best over longer distances.

Race 4: Open Handicap 1100 metres:
1st – TABASCO FORCE 2nd – CARRY ME 3rd – STRUMMING 4th – FORTZA

COMMANDING SPUR - Jockey A Spradau was a late riding engagement and when no other rider was available stewards permitted him to ride the gelding 5kg over its declared weight.

TABASCO FORCE - Jockey T Chambers was fined $100 under AR120(b) after accepting the ride when she was found to be overweight. Then when no other rider was available stewards permitted her to ride the gelding 2kg over its declared weight.

FORTZA – Was very reluctant to load into the barriers. Trainer Mr P Inwood was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding.

PISMO BEACH – Jumped out onto another runner and then raced wide most of the way.

STRUMMING – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

CARRY ME – Slow into stride and then raced wide rounding the home turn.

ALBERTIQUE – Weakened noticeably in the straight. Trainer Mr S Royes was advised that prior to the gelding racing again a veterinary certificate of fitness must be produced.

Race 5: Open Handicap 1700 metres:
1st – HASLINGTON 2nd – THE GALLOWS 3rd – KESTHIN 4th – EASTLINE

KESTHIN - Slow into stride.

THE GALLOWS - Rounding the 1400m turn shifted out and took another runner wider.

EASTLINE – Rounding the turn near the 1400m was taken wider by another runner.

BUFFETT – Was inclined to hang out most of the way.
