Race 1: TOPFIRE CLASS 6 PLATE. 1000 Metres. (6 Starters).
1st – TOBASCO FORCE 2nd – MIMI’S ROCKET 3rd – SPLASH OUT 4th – EXCAPISHE

EXCAPISHE – Knuckled at the start and raced wide rounding the 600 metre and home turns.

SPLASH OUT – Jumped inwards and raced wide rounding the 600 metre turn.

MIMI’S ROCKET - Raced wide rounding the 600 metre and home turns.

Race 2: STEEJO PRESS Class 2 Handicap. 1000 METRES. (7 Starters).
1st – I’M DESPERATE TOO 2nd – MIO GEM (NZ) 3rd – SHIMAZU 4th - PEEKING LUCK

I’M DESPERATE TOO – A. Spradau was a late riding engagement and Stewards permitted him to ride one kilogram overweight as no suitable jockey was available. Raced wide rounding the 600 metre turn.

PEEKING LUCK – Apprentice T. Tincknell was a late riding engagement.

MIO GEM (NZ) - S. Galvin was a late riding engagement.

BROTHER BOB – Knuckled on jumping losing ground. Raced wide all the way.

SHIMAZU – T. Chambers was a late riding engagement and Stewards permitted her to ride one kilogram overweight as no suitable jockey was available. Jumped awkwardly.

FORTY NIL MANLY – Raced wide rounding the home turn.


Race 3: BOULIA HOTEL MOTEL Maiden Handicap. 1200 METRES. (4 Starters).
1st – WULFWIN 2nd – OLLIE OOBA 3rd – ASHLEN 4th – CUMULOUS CLOUD

MISHANI TRADER - Was scratched on Veterinary advice at 1pm. Trainer advised veterinary certificate required before starting again.

SAINT MARY MAC - Was scratched on Veterinary advice at 1pm. Trainer advised veterinary certificate required before starting again.

No incidents in running.

Race 4: RAPS SURF N TURF BenchMark 65 Handicap. 1200 METRES. (6 Starters).
1st – IRON METEORITE 2nd – MASATAKA 3rd – COMMANDING SPUR 4th – BEAU DASH

MASATAKA – Bumped another runner on jumping and raced wide most of the way. .

JESTA TIGER - Bumped with another runner on jumping.

Race 5: . GET READY FOR MAILMAN EXPRESS Class B Handicap. 1450 METRES.
( 9 Starters).
1st – MENELAION 2nd – AMAZING MOSS 3rd – FIRSTINBESTDRESSED 4th - ISLES OF TEO

PUMPED UP KICKS - Was a late scratching at 3.55pm by order of Stewards acting on Veterinary advice when it was found to be lame. Trainer advised veterinary certificate required before starting again.

SHUFFLES – Eased out of the race and failed to finish. Was found to have bled from both nostrils. Trainer advised the gelding is being retired immediately, but nonetheless was advised of the provisions of AR 53A(4), mandatory suspension from racing for three months.

On return to scale an objection was lodged by T. Hill the rider of second place getter AMAZING MOSS against MENELAION (I. Fry) being declared the winner, alleging interference near the 1200 metre turn and also in the home straight. After taking evidence from both riders and viewing patrol footage. Stewards dismissed the objection and Correct weight was then declared.

AMAZING MOSS – Lost ground racing in restricted room due to general tightening as the field bunched approaching the 1200m turn.

FASHION KURV - Raced in restricted room approaching the 1200 metre turn.

FIRSTINBESTDRESSED - Raced in restricted room approaching the 1200 metre turn.

MENELAION – Raced wide rounding the 1200 metre turn.

Race 6: MAS MECHANICAL/BOULIA HOTEL MOUNT ISA CUP OPEN Handicap. 1800 METRES. ( 9 Starters).
1st – Bolton (NZ) 2nd – GUN AND POWER 3rd – EASTLINE 4th - BUFFETT (NZ)

SHOW US A SMILE - When no other rider was available Stewards permitted D. Ballard to ride four kilograms overweight.

SIR JAYSTIN - When no other rider was available Stewards permitted T. Chambers to ride one and a half kilograms overweight.

JETEYE WARRIOR – Jumped awkwardly and raced wide rounding the 1400 metre and 600 metre turns.

BOLTON - raced wide rounding the 1400 metre turn.

BUFFETT (NZ) - raced wide rounding the 1400 metre and 600 metre turns.

EASTLINE - raced wide rounding the 600 metre turn.
