GENERAL
 
TEMPESTA ROSSA – Performed a satisfactory 1000m gallop in the presence of a steward and was cleared to start in races.
 
RACE 1: SEAFOOD NIGHTS COMING SOON BM60 HANDICAP 900m

DIURNAL TIIGWER – Resented the kickback in running.
 
TIDAL RIP – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start.
 
ANCHOR CHAIN – Raced wide for the majority.
 
RACE 2: WELCOME JODY CONTARINO QTIC MAIDEN PLATE 900m
 
HUNTING – Rider T. Brummell was permitted to ride the filly one half kilogram over its allotted weight as no other rider was available. Rider Brummell reported at scales that the fillies saddle had slipped at approximately the 600m and had placed him at a disadvantage over the concluding stages of the event.
 
VALENTINE’S DAY – Resented the kickback in running.
 
NAUGHTY BUT NICE – Was declared a late scratching at 2:20pm under veterinary advice when the filly was found to be sore in both hind legs. Trainer T. Parry will be advised that the filly will require a veterinary certificate prior to its next start.
 
SHOO FLY SHOO – Was declared a late scratching at 2:10pm when Jockey D. Ballard was unable to make the allotted weight. As Jockey Ballard was a late rider declaration no further action was taken.
 
MY MIND IS MADE UP – Rider J. Esser was permitted to ride the gelding one and a half kilograms over its allotted weight as no other rider was available. Was difficult to load prior to the start. Shifted outwards on jumping and bumped another runner.
 
CRATLOE – Bumped by another runner on jumping and was subsequently slow to begin. Resented the kickback in running.
 
ARCHIE BOY – Slow to begin.
 
KAWANA VIVA – Jockey D. Sparks was unable to fulfil his engagement in this ride due to feeling ill when attempting to make weight for today’s meeting and was subsequently replaced by Jockey K. Ballard. Raced wide for the majority.
 
RACE 3: TRAINING TRACK SUBSIDY SCHEME Ratings Band 0 – 50 HANDICAP 1000m
 
TUNING – Rider J. Esser was permitted to ride the mare one kilogram over its allotted weight when no other rider was available.
 
BORN TO FIRE – After being stood down from his previous ride, Jockey D. Sparks declared to the steward he was fit to ride BORN TO FIRE after taking on fluids. As no other rider was available to take the ride, Jockey D. Sparks was permitted to fulfil this engagement.
 
JETTY BETTY – Slow to begin. Resented the kickback and was shifted wider on the track near the 800m to obtain clear running. Continued to race wide throughout the event.
 
LAGER – Rider S. McGovern was permitted to ride the gelding one half kilogram above its allotted weight as no other rider was available. Raced wide for the majority.
 
RACE 4: FUNCTION ROOM AVAILABLE FOR HIRE OPEN PLATE 1000m
 
TRAVEL IN STYLE – Shifted ground when placed under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
ELDRICK – Rider J. Babarovich reported at scale that he had dropped his whip near the 200m when attempting to place his mount under pressure.
 
NOOGOORA BURR – Resented the kickback in running.
 
RACE 5: LINMAR CRANES & HAULAGE BM 65 HANDICAP 1000m
 
RUNABOUT – Rider J. Babarovich reported at scale that the gelding commenced to hang out from the 800m until entering the home straight.
 
NIGHT WOLF – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start. Bumped by another runner shortly after the start and lost ground.
 
REBEL ROVER – Shifted inwards shortly after the start, bumped another runner and lost ground. On return to scale the gelding dislodged its rider J. Esser who declared himself free of any injury. REBEL ROVER underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no abnormalities were found.
 
YOUR WAY OR MINE – Slow to begin. Resented the kickback and was shifted wider on the track from the 800m to obtain clear running. Continued to race wide throughout.
 
ADMIRAL RUFF – Raced wide for the majority.
