Race 1: TOP X LONGREACH & TOP X RICHMOND MAIDEN PLATE – 1000 metres
MALIBU THIEF – Travelled wide in the early stages of the event.
OH GOLLY – Jumped away awkwardly and knuckled over at the start and caused jockey J. King to strike his foot on the barriers. Ambulance officers attended to the injury.
SPITFIRE DRAGON – Jumped away awkwardly.
DANCE TO INSPIRE – Was slow away and travelled wide for the majority of the event.
Race 2: COLEMANS STOCKFEEDS QTIS BM 65 HANDICAP - 1000 metres
COUNT BLEVIC – Travelled wide for the majority of the event.
ME MYSELF AND I – Was slow away and travelled wide in the early and middle stages of the event.
HOFFENHORRY – Failed to muster speed in the early stages of the race.
Race 3: GEORGE BOURNE & ASSOCIATES CLASS B HANDICAP - 1200 metres
Jockey J. King was unable to fulfil his remaining engagement due to injury sustained in the first race. Jockey King advised he would consult a doctor regarding the injury. Jockey King was advised he would require a doctor’s clearance before riding again.
Jockey K. Ballard was the rider of BEEZIP.
Jockey G. Steele was the replacement rider for J. King on RAHEEBS KINGDOM.
DANROCKING – Was slow away and slow into stride.
RAHEEBS KINGDOM – Travelled wide for the majority of the event.
Race 4: MUTTABURRA VET SERVICES & ELMES RURAL PTY LTD BM 60 HANDICAP - 1400 metres
Jockey K. Ballard was the replacement rider for J. King on ICE MELODY.
KOMODO – Jumped inwards hindering the inside runner and travelled wide for the majority of the event.
TATSTAR – Didn’t handle the dusty track conditions.
Race 5: THE DAVID & BEBE SECCOMBE MEMORIAL MUTTABURRA CUP OPEN HANDICAP - 1400 metres
Jockey S. McGovern was the replacement rider for J. King on REIGNING TO WIN.
SECRETS – Was slow into stride and galloped onto heels at the 800m and was eased.
LUCASAM – Was eased at the 800m and took no further competitive part in the race. A post race veterinary inspection showed lameness in the front offside foreleg. Trainer R. Simpson was advised a veterinary certificate of soundness would be required prior to the gelding’s next start.
LEO’S SPIRIT – Travelled wide from the 600m to gain clear running.
HELLUVA HURRY – Travelled wide from the 800m.
