General
NARSONS DUKE, COWARDOFTHECOUNTY and ROSE IN BLOOM which were backing up after racing the previous day were examined by the Veterinarian prior to their respective engagements and were passed fit to start.

Race 1: NCC Brahmans/Elanco/Ollsons/Zoetis ‘The Copperfield’ QTIS Maiden Plate 1200 metres:
1st – JOHNNY FIX IT 2nd – DIAMONDNET 3rd – WILL HE TORQUE 4th – SHADOW MOUNTAIN

REMI ROCKS – Knuckled over on jumping.

SHADOW MOUNTAIN – Was slowly away.

DORA’S MAGIC – Was slowly away.

DIAMONDNET – Was crowded between runners shortly after jumping. Was inconvenienced on straightening by another runner which was inclined to race greenly.

JOHNNY FIX IT – Inconvenienced another runner when racing greenly on straightening.

Stewards inquired into an incident which took place near the 900 metres when JOHNNY FIX IT (S Wilson), which was inclined to race greenly throughout, shifted in away from WILL HE TORQUE (Ms.S Wiseman) resulting in both MISHANI ISTANA (App. L Attard) and ADEPERO (F Edwards) which were racing to the inside of JOHNNY FIX IT having to be checked and lose ground. After viewing the available footage and taking evidence from the abovementioned Jockeys, Stewards formed the opinion that the racing manners of JOHNNY FIX IT had a significant bearing on the incident, and as such were unable to apportion blame to any individual rider. Trainer Mr. A Ryan was advised that a warning would be placed on the racing manners of the gelding JOHNNY FIX IT.

Race 2: Coleman Stock Feeds ‘The Bangle’ Class 4 Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – KISSER 2nd – TARA IRONWOOD 3rd – COWARDOFTHECOUNTY 4th – PINCER STRIKE

OUR MAGIC MADGE – Was slowly away.

COWARDOFTHECOUNTY – Jumped out at the start crowding another runner.

NARSONS DUKE – Was slowly into stride after being crowded by another runner on jumping. Raced wide in the early and middle stages.

DRAGON HART – Was unable to muster pace in the early stages.

KISSER – Was caught wide without cover in the early and middle stages.

ELITE ECHELON – Jockey Ms. B Thomson was placed at a severe disadvantage when the saddle shifted near the 800 metres.

Race 3: The Collins Families ‘Spring Creek Memorial’ Class B Handicap 1000 metres:
1st – MILLI VANILLI 2nd – BEYOND LIMITS 3rd – RAINING DOLLARS 4th – CENTREHALF FORWARD

SEEYAWHENISEEYA – Was fractious in the barriers. Jockey Ms. S Wiseman reported that the mare was inclined to hang out for the majority of the event placing her at a severe disadvantage. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor recovery rate, but no other abnormalities. Trainer Mr. J Manzelmann, who was advised that a warning would be placed on the racing manners of the mare SEEYAWHEISEEYA, undertook to notify Stewards should any sign of injury become apparent in coming days.

CENTREHALF FORWARD – Was slowly away.

CRAIGLEA ALDI – Was slowly away and trailled the field throughout. Jockey N Yadi reported that the gelding was reluctant to stretch out on the firm going. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Mr. A Bailey undertook to notify Stewards should any sign of injury become apparent in coming days.

DUNNYS STAR – Was inconvenienced when crowded between runners shortly after jumping.

MILLI VANILLI - Was caught wide without cover in the early and middle stages.

Race 4: Booth Rural & Bayer Aust Lyndhurst Shield/MM FNQ U&C Stayers BM 60 Handicap 1600 metres:
1st – MISHANI CENTURION 2nd – GO GIRLFRIEND 3rd – STANDFORD 4th – CRACOW

MONSIEUR HUGHES – Was fractious in the barriers. Was slowly into stride after beginning awkwardly.

MISHANI CENTURION – Was buffeted between runners after improving into a narrow run near the 150 metres.

GO GIRLFRIEND – Shifted out slightly under pressure and bumped with another runner near the 150 metres.

STANDFORD - Shifted in slightly under pressure and bumped with another runner near the 150 metres.

Race 5: Coopers/Tilly’s/All Terrain Helicopters “Werrington Plate” Cl 6 Plate 1000 metres:
1st – GOLDEN METEOR 2nd – PRIME SHADOW 3rd – SUNSET SHOWDOWN 4th – HEART OF STRENGTH

GOLDEN METEOR – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

FOREWARNED – Was buffeted between runners on jumping. Jockey T Brummell reported that the gelding was inclined to hang out for the majority of the event placing him at a disadvantage. Trainer Mr. K Krogh was advised that a warning would be placed on the racing manners of the gelding FOREWARNED.

MISHANI PERSUADER - Bumped with another runner on jumping.

OVER THE CHOICE – Was caught wide without cover in the early and middle stages.

HIDDEN CHIEF – Raced wide early.

HEART OF STRENGTH – Raced wide early.
