Race 1: All Souls & St Gabriels School/Maclean Partners QTIS Maiden Plate 1000 metres:
1st – BROWN PAPER BEAR 2nd – MOLONGLE HERO 3rd – I’M LATE I’M LATE 4th – RAINING DOLLARS

MOLONGLE HERO – Was slowly away. Bumped with another runner soon after the start.

CRAIGLEA SACHA - Bumped with another runner soon after the start.

DINKUM’S DARLIN – Jockey R Graham reported that the mare was inclined to race ungenerously and in his opinion may have resented the tongue tie. Trainer Ms O Cairns advised Stewards that the mare does require a tongue tie in its races and it is her intention to modify its application at future starts.

Race 2: Halls Firearms/Five Star Supermarket Benchmark 65 Handicap 1000 metres:
1st – HEART OF STRENGTH 2nd – SHADOWS OF SIN 3rd – DUKE’S CHARM(NZ) 4th – EXCEEDED

SHADOWS OF SIN – Jumped out at the start bumping with another runner. Soon after shifted in whist unbalanced and bumped with a runner to its inside.

SPECK OF GOLD – Was bumped by another runner on jumping. Raced wide throughout.

EXCEEDED – Was bumped by another runner soon after the start.

TOP DECISION – Was inclined to race ungenerously throughout. App. Jockey K Aho advised that the gelding had resented the kickback in running.

Race 3: Ringrose Button Class B Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – OUR HUSSLER 2nd – GRISWALD 3rd – LARABEE 4th – SPURS ON

LARABEE – Knuckled on jumping losing considerable ground at the start.

SPURS ON – App. Jockey K Aho reported that she had elected to shift wide near the 600 metres as the gelding had commenced to race ungenerously due to kickback in running.

CANNES CONI – Jockey R Graham reported that the mare was inclined to race ungenerously throughout.

THEATRE BOY – Jockey P Cullen reported that the gelding was inclined to race ungenerously in the middle stages when awkwardly placed to the inside of other runners.

Race 4: Tanks Direct/Olssons Benchmark 55 Handicap 1400 metres:
1st – SUNNY CHIEF 2nd – DON’T THINK DO 3rd – COWARDOFTHECOUNTY 4th – PROUD WARRIOR

Stewards delayed the announcement of Correct Weight following the running of this event in order to view head on patrol footage of the start. After viewing the footage and acting on advice from Starter Mr C Poole and App.Jockey M Haley, who rode MISHANI PAGAN, Stewards were satisfied that a fair start had been effected and Correct Weight was declared.

MISHANI PAGAN – Stood flatfooted as the barriers opened and missed the start. Trainer’s Representative Ms J Felix was advised that the mare would be required to barrier trial to satisfaction of Stewards prior to being permitted to race again.

COWARDOFTHECOUNTY – Bumped with another runner soon after the start.

DON’T THINK DO - Bumped with another runner soon after the start.

BLUE DANUBE - Bumped with another runner soon after the start.

PROUD WARRIOR – Jockey P Cullen reported that the gelding was inclined to hang out near the 600 metres. On returning to the enclosure the gelding was found to have gotten its tongue over the bit in running. Trainer Mr J Barr advised Stewards that he will apply a tongue tie to the gelding at future starts.

Race 5: Coleman Stockfeeds Prairie Cup Benchmark 70 Handicap 1400 metres:
1st – SMOOTH GENERAL 2nd –ELOVACHILL 3rd – SERENE PEARL 4th – CARBINCONI

STAR TRUCE – Threw its head in the air on jumping. Was inclined to race ungenerously in the early stages. Was wide for the majority of the event.
