Trainer S.Gabriel-Royes was fined $300 under AR114 for failing to scratch TOUGH COMPANY by prescribed time resulting in another runner missing a run to which it was entitled.

When no other rider was available stewards permitted Jockey A.Spradau to ride SHOW US THE WAY 1.5kg over its declared weight. Jockey A.Spradau was fined $100 under AR120(b).

When no other rider was available stewards permitted Jockey A.Spradau to ride HOLY GADOLEY 1kg over its declared weight. Jockey A.Spradau was fined $100 under AR120(b).

SIMON BON ROCKET - Was a late scratching at 2.35pm when the gelding refused to load into the barriers. Prior to the declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered that all bets placed on SIMON BON ROCKET be refunded in full and all other successful bets made on the race prior to 2.35pm be subject to the following deductions of 2c win and 3c place on the face value of the betting ticket. Trainer K.Krogh was informed the gelding must trial to the satisfaction of the stewards prior to being permitted to race again.

MORE THAN WILLING - Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.

SHADOW BUSTER - Slow to begin. Finished a distance last, a post-race veterinarian examination of the gelding revealed marked dehydration. Trainer S.Gabriel-Royes said the gelding would now be retired, acting on this assurance no action was taken.

Race 4: QLD POLICE SERVICE Maiden Plate 1200 metres:
1st – I’M LATE I’M LATE 2nd – CRAIGLEA SACHA 3rd – RIALTO GUY 4th – HERE HE IS

The declaration of correct weight was delayed to enable Jockey S.Galvin the rider of fourth placegetter, HERE HE IS, to view the photo of the finish. Having done so he was satisfied with the judge's placings and correct weight was declared.

RIVER RISING – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

Race 5: RICHMOND SPOUSE HUNTER’S BALL Benchmark 60 Handicap 1400 metres:
1st – MOSSALE 2nd – MORE DUST 3rd – WHAT THE HECK 4th – TOUGH COMPANY

The declaration of correct weight was delayed to enable the connections of the second placegetter, MORE DUST, to view the photo of the finish. Having done so they were satisfied with the judge's placings and correct weight was declared.
